WOYWW # 251 I'm Back!

Hi WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday) friends, I'm back and have been busy unpacking and washing all the ski gear but I do not expect any sympathy lol!

Once I get it all out of the way it will be time to get started with some crafting again and here is my desk covered in stuff just waiting to be used.

So as not to waste your time I have posted mostly photographs today which should speak for themselves.

  • Gorgeous Prima papers from Ali-Craft waiting for samples to be made.
  • The marbles, I found in Meadow Hall near Sheffield. For those of you who don't know this place it is a shopping centre. The marbles were in an ethnic store and are supposed to ward-off the evil eye. Not sure yet what I will use them for but just had to have them lol!

  • To the right are some lovely stamps from Clarity.

  • Gorgeous wooden bobbins from the Range, lovely! and to the left of that some patterned duck tape from Paperchase.

  • To the left of the photograph are some bits and pieces I just didn't want to throw away, empty containers, two ski lift passes and two corks from French wine bottles of course lol!

If you have visited me from Julia's you will know what this is all about but if you haven't then pop over to the Stamping Ground where you will find information which should reveal what this is all about.

That's all for now, thanks for stopping by.
Back soon,
Angela x

I guess you are probably too busy skiing for playing the sax. Oh do try and find a teacher. I got a list of teachers from a local harp supplier although I had tried on-line beforehand too. Mine was the 3rd I'd tried, there is one out there for you. Thanks for the visit BJ#70

I love your desk, Angela, with all that gorgeous organised storage! So cool. And what a smashing lot of stash you've got - really exciting, and I am sure you've got loads of ideas for using it.

Thanks for your visit and your nice comment. From our own use I manage to collect 2 teabags a day, which isn't much! However, I've got the tea ladies at church saving them for me now, which means a dozen more per week! It's nice to get them fresh so you can dry them on watercolour paper and use it afterwards.

That's a great tip, using Vylene - must try that. Tyvek is pricey from craft suppliers - like a lot of art stuff that you can source much more cheaply elsewhere if you think outside the box - I use Polyfilla One Fill as moulding paste and it's brilliant - and cheap! - and decorating crackle glaze instead of art stuff - much bigger container, and much more economical. Tyvek is used in the construction industry as a breathable membrane, often laid over the roof timbers before the tiles are laid. If you watch any of those building programmes on TV (Grand Designs etc.) you often see sheets of white stuff with "Tyvek" written all over them!

If I manage to source any cheap Tyvek, I'll be posting about it on my blog.

Happy WOYWW,
