WOYWW 271 # What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

A big welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Angela here to show you "What's on my work desk this Wednesday"(WOYWW) and if you visit Julia you will have access to desks throughout the world, so hope you will hop over to the Stamping Ground and all will be revealed.

Here is my desk for this week and I'm afraid I haven't got as far with the Alice journal page as I would have liked but this is where I am at the moment.

First I used a Dylusion stamp and outlined the edge of the page using the leaves stamp bottom right.

I have added the Cheshire cat randomly on the page as though he is hiding in the trees and some symbols from the playing cards using non secuitur Ask Alice stamps.
The sprays have coloured the lines made by the glue gun but to protect them fully, it is necessary to spray them with a fixative.

Not sure how well you can see the Cheshire Cat hiding in the trees and it's raining playing card symbols.

I am using some Alice stamps from The Octopode Factory.
And the images are waiting to be painted.

There's one thing this will definitely be a quick post today so everyone should be happy Lol!

I have to go out but will be visiting you later today.
Have a great week and happy crafting,
Angela x

If you bigify your photo you can see the Cheshire cat in there hiding away. I love the secretive jungle look of your pages. And raining playing card suites is totally appropriate for Alice stuff for sure! Judy #73

Wow that took some searching for your Cheshire Cat Angela, but I'm happy to say I found him ^..^

Hi Angela,

I love your journal page so far. I think I spotted two cats - am I right? Maybe I'm just seeing double?

Love the stamped images in the last photo. Very cool. I took a class with Dyan R. and she said that you can't make her dylusions sprays permanent. I wondered about spraying a fixative over them to make them permanent - have you done this?

I'm off today so am trying to get some visiting done.

Happy WOYWW

Hi Angela, loving your journal page, so textural, I'm guessing you dribbled glue on? I had forgotten that technique did it years ago on a course, very effective. Love Octopode Alice too!! Happy WOYWW Cindy #57

Hi Angela,
I love how you have done those background pages! And the colours are great too. I did an Alice project a few years ago (which you can see if you go right back near the beginning of my blog - or I can send a link).
(Tried to leave a comment yesterday via my phone, but it wasn't playing nice. Very strange.)

Happy WOYWW! a little late

Goodness but I love that double page of the enchanted woodland....so many layers, it's almost 3D! That's a very clever concept and you are succeeding in bringing it to life :-)

Wow! this page has it all going on! I was drawn in by the beautiful colour, all the shades of green are lovely together and then the techniques detail, cricket, no wonder it's not as far along as you envisaged. Take time, enjoy!!

great looking page with so much going on and such depth of field! Love all the details. Did you use tea bags in the background? I am trying to figure out the deep layers. Thanks for sharing and coming to visit my desk! Vickie

Loving these pages the colours are right up my street and octopode (especially the Alice one) stamps are my favourite stamps. The idea of raining playing card suits its really clever too...may have to plagerise the idea if that is ok?
