That Craft Place Challenge.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
And here is my new design for :
That Craft Place Challenge Blog.

As usual this fortnight's theme is:
Mixed Media Anything Goes!
So lets see what you can come up with!

But before you start here is my piece using a variety of products from That Craft Place.

This is how I made it.

Started with a fairly large Tag and cut away a small section from the bottom.

At this stage I applied different gels and pastes through a variety of stencils. I used different types of Gels as this gives a variety of relief effects.
Then painted it with Gesso.
I actually taped the two pieces together at the back so it may look like one piece at the moment. This ensures continuity of the design.

And a close-up

At this stage I separated the two pieces and painted the tag.

I absolutely love these wings from That Craft Place and have used so many. For this project I have painted them and added a crackle effect.

Then later added gilding flakes.

I used craft card to cut these shapes and dragged them through some watered down paint for a grungy look.

These are the dies used.

I also added Gilding flakes to the tag.

And so to the finished piece.
The sentiment is a Tim Holtz stamp, the metal embellishments are more from That Craft Place.

I do hope you enjoyed watching me make this and it would be great if you could leave me a comment and then pop over and see what the other DT members have been making and maybe join in the challenge too at:

Many thanks for your comments
and
happy crafting,
Angela x
