Crafty Cardmakers Challenge # 176 - Explosion of Colour.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Josephine is hosting our Explosion of Colour challenge, so let's see lots of  vibrant colours in your creations, the more the better.
As usual You can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to just be cards, as long as it meets the challenge, and doesn't exceed the 15 total challenges entered rule!

For this project I used a mop up sheet of paper.
As they say "Waste Not Want Not" and there were such gorgeous colours on here and what a great start for a theme based on
Explosion of Colour.

Next stage: Stencilling.
I so love this quirky design. Placed it over one side of the paper, secured it with tape, then applied the 3D gel and gold embossing powder on top.
If you look closely you can see the bubbles which are created when it is heated which is one of the things I love about this technique, such gorgeous texture.
Carefully remove the stencil and allow this to dry before cutting to size.

Then I matched up some backing papers which would go with the colours on the paper.

Mat and Layered the papers........
To produce this!

No stamping which is unusual for me but still like it very much and I have half the paper left so will probably make something similar again.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
 Happy crafty card making.

Friday Fun Day and Halloween Shrine.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

With Halloween so close this had to be a fun time to make something Spooky and that's what I've been doing this week.
So here it is!!!!!!!

I started with this little beauty from That Craft Place.

First thing, painting with black Gesso. Some sections were left as they would be covered later and try to avoid getting too much paint round the slits as that can make it difficult to assemble.

I often leave areas without paint and complete this as I construct.

Once that is done it's on to the decoration.
I used Graphic 45 papers for this shrine mixing together, Rare Oddities and Olde Curiosity Shoppe.

I glazed the bottles with Glossy Accents giving a slightly 3D effect. This needs to be done and allowed to dry before going to the next stage.

I also glazed the bottles at the back too.

I love this time of the year as it is so easy to get lots of lovely creepy stuff like the bat I've used on the back of the shrine.

You may be able to see that I had glazed the eyes too just behind the bat and small blobs on the Pinnacles of the shrine.
At this stage I started adding other embellishments which were coloured with Stickles Glitter glue for a bit of bling. It makes them look as though the moon is shining on them (just use your imagination!!!).

When I was looking through the stash I found these googly eyes, no idea what I bought them for but thought they would look fun down the sides.

More fun stuff.... some skeletons arms, little tiny vials, painted frogs, centipedes  and a very! very! large spider!
Spooky or what!

No Halloween shrine would be complete without cobwebs so got out the kitchen scrubby again and pulled out some nice big pieces to use as cobwebs, lovely!

You can probably see now that I wrapped the webbing under the large spider and around the eyes.
Then used a large section for the shrine to stand on.

A little extra tucked inside.

And so to a final look at the finished project.

I hope this made you smile, I certainly had fun making it.

Have a great weekend and a brilliant Halloween,

 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for

WOYWW 386 # What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

I hope this is not too much of a shock to see the desk so tidy. Let me reassure you it wont last!
The stack of dies you can see are mostly Christmas themed and are waiting for me to do something with them, I will say no more about those yet but time is passing by too quickly!

Still not too bad just started my new shrine.

It's difficult to see but I did sort the exploding box but it's as bad again!

I should be able to show you the canvas I made next week as it should be going live at The Craft Barn this week, probably tomorrow.

So that's me done for today.

Thank you for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Angela x

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome all my new followers and hope you enjoy the journey.

A very simple Masterboard for a quick birthday card.
And yes it's Crazy Cats!

Started here with the balloons from the 'Crazy Things' set of stamps.
White card and black ink stamped several times with the same ink on the stamp until it completely faded away which gives depth to this very simple Masterboard.

Followed by this:
I had cut out the frame for another project and had kept the negative, you know how it is " Waste not, want not" as they say!

I trimmed this down to size and then stamped on it with embossing ink and heat embossed it with white powder.

I'm sure I don't need to show you this but here I am mounting a section of the Masterboard with redline double sided tape.

Carefully position and then remove the tape.

And here we are ready for the next stage.

I had stamped, coloured and die cut the cats earlier, positioning two of them behind the frame and then adding the third cat and the sentiment.
I completed the card with the addition of the green stickles glitter glue to the cats eyes.
Nothing better than a bit of shiny glitter!

I also added the balloon stamp to the envelope.

This is another card for the post so not too much depth there but still think it works but what do you think?

Any comments gratefully received.
Have a lovely week and happy crafting,
Angela x

Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

As promised last week, I have taken more photos to show you what's going on in the park.

It's not too easy to see because it's all fenced off.

The council have managed to get donations for the materials and a kind builder offered to do the work to renovate the Wier.

Originally this had a covered pipe where the water from the lake flowed out. Part of the pipe has been removes and this has replaced it.

It will look lovely when it's finished and will keep you informed of it's development.

Apart from that I also went to the craft show at Doncaster on Sunday, some of you will have already seen the results of that on my blog.
I spent a lot of time at the Paper Artsy booth and bought one or two little items! Which definitely made me smile!

Leandra doing her thing.

I have been doing lots of gardening again but I will not bore you with more of that Lol!

So have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW 385 # What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Well actually it's not as I have managed to put most of this away now.
The pile of stuff in the centre of the desk is what I found in my bag Lol! when I got back from Doncaster Craft Show on Sunday night, I can't imagine how it all got in there! The last time I went to a craft show I didn't have much to show you so I thought I would photograph this little lot before I moved it to it's new home.

As you can see the bulk of this came from Paper Artsy, love it!

These little beauties are so cute but ugly too!

Seth Apter of course!

Just a bit of advertising there.

Apart from that stuff, the box is getting near to explosion again and the Christmas dies stacked up, haven't seen much action yet because I have been busy doing other stuff.

So that's me done for today and everything should be sorted by the time I see you next week.

Thank you for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Angela x
