Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #181 Love, Love, Love.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Lin is hosting today and our challenge is Love, Love, Love.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to just be cards, as long as it meets the challenge, and doesn't exceed the 15 total challenges entered rule!

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

I made this card using this masterboard:

I made this using a Tim Holtz Heart stencil, applying distress ink through this to start the design and then Glass Beads Texture Gel by Winsor and Newton.
Next I sprayed the card with red, lemon and gold inks and finished it off with Treasure Gold gilding wax when dry.

I used a variety of dies to cut out the hearts.

And then started to put the card together.
I trimmed of a small section at the front side of a black card blank before mounting the front section which was matted and layered with gold, lemon and red card to match with the Masterboard.

I played around a little with the arrangement of the hearts before deciding where to place them.

And then completed the card.

And a few photos to show the completed design.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.

Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Not really much fun as I've been made up with cold, obviously some foreign body Lol!

However, I have a few photographs from the holiday which you've not seen so here they are.

Our lovely room.

View from the hall way.

Which looks out onto the path to the slope where we set off for our skiing each day.

 More gorgeous food.

 The Piste Map.
Showing the area where we skied.

Just can't resist photographing the gorgeous churches.

This is a smaller one and though it's not clear here it is painted pink.

On our way home now and going through the Toll.

And without boring you completely here we are at the airport of Grenoble.

The weather was lovely when we left France and like this when we reached the UK.

The blurring is due to the rain, naturally!

It was my birthday this week and I have had lots of nice cards to make me smile even though I have been feeling quite grotty so that was nice.

Well I'm off now for some more hot lemon as my cold is choosing not to shift but there you go Lol!
Still I have about six weeks to get better before we go back.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card I've made with yet another
Left-Over Masterboard and Seth Apter stencils, dies and stamps:

This is a piece left-over from a Masterboard I made some time ago using Seth Apter stamps and stencils.

I decided it needed more detail which I added with more Seth Apter stamps and Stencils.

I then cut a piece measuring "6 x "6 and layered this with a couple of plain coloured card which worked with the Masterboard.

I also die cut some pieces of the Masterboard using Seth's dies and then put everything together, matting and layering the Masterboard with the plain card and finishing with the addition of some white paint flicked onto the surface which always helps the detail to pop out.
Anyway here it is and hope you like it:

The stamped images to the right were stamped onto velum to use as an overlay.

Then started matting and layering the sections.

The Masterboard piece came next.

And then the velum and die cut pieces creating lots of lovely layers.

And here is the finished card including the splatters.

The sentiment ( by Tim Holtz) is stamped onto the centre section from the die cuts which is actually a waste piece but works well for this. Just snip away the tabs holding it in place and you have the perfect matching sentiment tag. I then decorated it with some of the left-over die cut pieces and matching gems.

I hope you enjoyed watching me make this and
I would love to hear your comments about it.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Most days have been like this, loads of snow and sunny skies, gorgeous! More lovely food! Good job we are getting plenty of exercise!

The bar.

A collection of the Polar Bears.

This guy is in the entrance.

We had a run down to see the Indians at Courchevel.
Don't ask! I have no idea why they have Indians in France, they just have.

So that's it for now but will put together a few more photographs to show you next week.

Have a great weekend everyone and

As soon as I can I will be off to see what the others have been up to.

WOYWW 398 # What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

More crazy cats!

If you were here last week you may well think nothing has changed and you wouldn't be far wrong though I have done a little more at trying out the pastels.
I have never really got on with oil pastels but these are water soluble so you can use them like water colours too which is more like the way I like to work.

I stamped and embossed lots of 'Crazy Animals' before we came away which will be die cut when complete and added to cards and journals.
I have been working on these to try out the pastels between bath time and evening meal when I've not been having a nap Lol!
The top ones are shades of brown and oranges mostly and the ones below are pink and purples.

I know some of you were wondering where we've been, here we are.

The Three Valleys is the largest interlinking ski area in the world and the main resorts are Meribel, Courchevel, Val Thorens and Les Menuires but is surrounded by many smaller resorts such as La Tania, Saint Martin and Orelle which makes for lots of skiing as they all interlink and most are doorstep skiing.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to. I did manage to visit everyone last week that left comments and I will do that again but as you can imagine it may take me a while.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #180 New Beginnings.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Jan is hosting our first challenge for the new Year and it's New Beginnings, which could relate to babies, relationships, resolutions, it's up to you.
As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to just be cards, as long as it meets the challenge, and doesn't exceed the 15 total challenges entered rule!

For this project I decided to make a New Home card as I believe I may need one soon.
I wanted to use up some pieces of Masterboards and mop up papers and card, so collected together a variety of colours and textures.

I then stamped on these with some house stamps from Paper Artsy.

Cut out the houses ready to attach them to my backing card.
And punched out some birds using black card.

I had this A4 piece of card which I had cleaned one of my brayers on (hate to waste good paint Lol!) and used this for the background.

I added some extra texture and details using a Tim Holts dotty stencil to add more colour and brick stencil to add cracking gel medium.

When the card was completely dry I added the details to it.
The birds and the houses were added and I cut out parts of the hose to collage the pieces and then completed the card with Stickles Glitter Glue.

All I have to do now is wait for them to move house, I have my fingers crossed but for now:

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with and hope you like my card.

 Happy crafting.
