Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

I used a brayer and Paper Artsy Fresco paints to cover the card quickly.
Just keep going until you achieve the effect you want.
You can brayer white onto the paint if it looks too bright it's up to you.

I use one colour at a time, rotating the card to apply it evenly around the surface and then move to the next colour and do the same again.
I like fresco paints as some of them are transparent so work well over the top of other colours without blanking them out.

Despite still feeling under the weather I did feel a bit more like having a play but as you will see it took me a while to get my head round it this week.

The first stage was easy as I decided to stamp my new Tracy Scott stamp onto the background papers.

Then cut them out......

and layered the different colours together.

And added yellow and purple Stickles Glitter Glue.

Put these on one side while I thought about the background and this is where it got interesting.

I had thought about having a black background and embossing the flowers onto it. I have loads of Cosmic Shimmer embossing powders that have been in the drawer for ages and thought they might do the trick so got them out and had a play.

Now the only problem with embossing powders is that they behave differently on black card so after an interesting hour I realised the colours were not what I wanted though I do think that this card is going to see some use some time in the future as I love the colours.

So I mixed together some of the colours that did match with the Masterboards and this is what I ended up with.

I felt it needed a border which I created with an embossing pen and the same powder.

Perfect but what do you think.

At this stage I started positioning the masterboard flowers.

The card was completed with a Mother's Day sentiment, ribbon and a collection of sequins.

Plenty of Masterboard left to play with so you will see it again soon I'm sure.

Hope you like it and I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x
