WOYWW 261 What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday

Hi Blogging friends Angela here to show you what I've been up to this week on my workdesk and if you visit Julia you will have access to desks throughout the world, so hope you will hop over to the Stamping Ground and all will become obvious.

I have been working on a new Masterboard this week for the swap with my friend Gloria and decided to use some of the new seashore stamps by Prima.

I started by covering the watercolour paper with glycerin and then smoothed on Big and Juicy ink from the Waterfall pad.
Then quite large splatters of water and blotted this.
I then left it to dry naturally.

I stamped the seaweed with the blues and greens from the Waterfall pad and then added some black weed but using the second stamping as I didn't want to overpower the pattern.
As you can see I also added the lighthouse and other images which are part of the collection.

The bubbles that you can see are not actually part of the Seashore collection of stamps and are from Dimension Stamps.

It will be a few weeks before she sends me the finished project but will post it here when it arrives.

I just hope she likes my efforts and can't wait to see what she does with it.

See you soon and happy crafting,
Angela x

  4. Big and Juicy????? Who on earth thinks up these colour names? That one made me laugh actually :-) You could have a competition to rename some....Craftroom Jealousy Green, for example, or Sewing Failure Blues!
Hey, do you think the ink people will give me a job? I enjoyed that, lol!
    Hugs, LLJ

  6. Hi Angela

firstly, thank you for your visit to my blog, and secondly - wow... I LOVE your background masterboard (not heard of that one before, so everyday's a schoolday - right?!!)!!

I love Prima - I watch the Live With Prima shows each week (twice per week) and have met some wonderful and talented people there... I love the Seashore collection too and have seen some lovely things made with it - I'm so happy to have come here and seen the stamps from the collection as I hadn't seen those up close and in their bare form before - they look good on the background you made on your masterboard!!!

I'll hopefully get to see what your friend did with it when you post it later when I pop over again in the future.

    Awesome - and Happy WOYWW

  17. I am sure she will appreciate what you have created otherwise she is bonkers it is really pretty. I am curious you said you spread glycerin over the materboard (what liquid glycerin with what did you spread it) sorry I am curious that is all. I did zoom in on your glycerin bottle is that it. Is is straight glycerin or mixed with water to make spraying easier. gosh so many questions I hope you don't mind answering them.

    great desk, very interesting indeed.

  26. Hi Angela,

Your masterboard looks great! I guess glycerine is like petroleum jelly?

I noticed on your sidebar about your birdl, Morris. Is that a long time for his breed? I understand that Poppy should live around 20 years.

Thanks for visiting me already. I'm hoping to get my visiting done before Friday!

    Happy belated WOYWW,
    Peace, Kay (39)
