Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Recently I showed you my Kingfisher and today I have a photograph of another bird we often see in the park.

Love to see him though I don't think the fish do Lol!

We call him 'The Poser' as he seems quite happy for me to get up close to photograph him which is unusual as they are normally quite timid birds.
I feel really privileged to have this lovely park so close to us and being able to get such great photographs is enough to make anyone smile.

Thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too if you like.

Thanks for stopping by,

Angela x

  2. Good morning Angela
I love watching the heron on the pond at the top of our lane.
It fascinates me how flexible their necks are and how long.
    Have a good weekend

  3. Oh, a heron! I only know because we did a LifeBook project last years, otherwise I can hardly tell a crow from a sparrow, LOL! I saw one too once when we went cycling and it was still there on the way back hours later at the same spot! Have a great weekend, Angela!

  4. That bird is a heron. He will sit there for hours and then all of a sudden dip his head in the water to catch some tasty fishy morsel. They eat frogs too.
    Thanks for sharing,
    Have a great week,
    Blessings,

  5. They are stunning photos Angela. Hubby likes photography and has never had a heron pose for him like this. Perhaps being in a park he sees more people which has made him less nervous. You certainly are very lucky. Barbxx

  7. Wow, amazing shots Angela. The Poser looks quite at home wading through the water while you're standing right there. Birds are very hard to capture with a camera, well done! hugs :)

  8. Stunning bird Angela, bit too big for me though, when they fly near you.

  9. Mr Poser is quite a lovely specimen, the one near us doesn't have that lovely plummage on his/her head - and they are quite timid. Lovely photos. Anne xx
