Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

The stamps are by Paper Artsy and I've used Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks by stamping several times around the card without adding more ink to the stamp which gives a nice depth to the same colour.

Depending on how you cut the masterboard you can make lots of cards with this one piece and if you scan it first you can keep the original for later use.

Once the Masterboard is completed you can make some really quick cards which is so important the closer we get to that special day!

And here is one of the samples I made.

The greeting was from the same release as those used on the Masterboard and the fairy lights from an older set.
I've layered everything with matching coloured card and added Stickles glitter glue to the fairy lights.

I'm sure you will have noticed the postage stamp and if you live in the UK you may remember it.
I am a bit obsessed at collecting old stamps and thought it was time to do something with them.
I think this works really well and hope you do too.

I stamped, heat embossed and fussy cut a few of the leaves to add to the postage stamp to make it appear more a part of the design.

The numbers were fussy cut and heat embossed too before being attached.

Hope you like it and many thanks for stopping by. Happy crafting,

Angela x

  1. Great use of the master board and love the stamping and the depth you've got on it x. Such a unique card and what a fun idea to use a 'real' stamp. So creative and such a fabulous and fun card Angela x.

  2. I really love these Angela. I used to go for the 'busier' PaperArtsy stamps, but now I really like the more elegant designs. Of course the postage stamp is the perfect finishing touch! Take care and have a very happy December, Sue xx

  3. Loving this Masterboard, and your card is wonderful. I think using stamps, especially older ones, is a great thing to do - they add just the right touch of nostalgia here too!
