Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.I don't know what to show you this week as I've been stuck at home as hubby is still away visiting schools so I've been trying to catch up on a few jobs one of which has been dusting off the teddy bears.
My most favourite bears live together here.
Not sure how many of you know that I collect tedds.
I like to give them a good dusting now and then.
I have a variety of Steiff, Merrythought, Gund, a very old Farnell and others.
You can probably just see this guy on the right.
His Name is Alfonzo and he's a copy of the famous teddy bear owned by Princess Zenia of Russia. There is a story to this but that's for another time.
This is one of the teddy bears that I had as a child.
He was my closest friend which is why he is so well worn. His original name was Barley Sugar but he was just Little Teddy to me.
This is the face of Bruno which my mother bought while I was only months old. He is in very good condition mostly because of his size which meant he was difficult to play with.
He has a story too about how he managed to still be here, in short my father hid him when I went to college as my mother decided to get rid of him. Thank goodness for fathers!
He is an original Alpha Farnell who were an English company.
I think that's enough for today but we'll finish with a few words from the teddys.
They always have the answer that's why we love them so much.
Have a great weekend everyone and
thanks for stopping by.
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your smiles too.

Delightful post, Angela. I especially love ❤️ Alfonzo but they are all nice. Lovely illustrations and messages as well. I remember Gund to be a very good quality.
ReplyDeleteWow, hurrah to your Dad!!
ReplyDeleteNo, I didn't know you had so many teddies. How delightful! I'd love to hear the 'story for another time'.
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm late, I only just realized I hadn't linked in with Annie. I havenow,
Enjoy your weekend,
Lisca
I just love all your teddies. If I had more space I would have kept more. Well done your dad. Mum's are usually the sentimental ones.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favourites had to go when a little mouse got into our spare room, had a bite out of all the Ferrero Roche chocolates I was keeping for Christmas, and then chewed a neat round hole in my teddy to make a nest!
Your link opened up to your Monday post and I was so taken with your master board.
Sorry I am late visiting. I had a very busy weekend. Kate x

What wonderful teddy bears, Angela! I'd no idea that you were a collector, and can see now why and how you love them so. Wonderful post, my friend!! Happy week to you and yours. xo
