WOYWW # 249

Hi Blogbuddies we are here again with What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday. For further details go to Julia, at  Stamping Ground.

My contribution for this week is a page in my art journal which I have been trying to complete for some time.
SanDee and Amelie have a challenge this month whereby you must include something transparent in your project and it immediately gave me an idea for completing the page.
So here is my desk.
Things do seem to be getting pushed together again, where does the space go lol!

Here is the double page

and the close-ups.

I used a variety of different makes of stamps for this though I am sure you will recognise the Octopode Factory, girl and boy.

It was in this part that I used the 'Transparency' which was the challenge for this month.

I stamped onto heat resisitant acetate and then heat embossed it.
With the addition of cogs and pipework I turned the globe into a submarine and placed it over the boy so he appeared to be inside.

Hope you enjoy this bit of fun Steampunk.

            Back soon,
             Angela x

  8. Your artjounal pages give the illusion of real water and being on the ocean floor. Fabulous blue and green colors, and here is plenty to discover for Felix and the girl.
Exciting with the mermaid and the marvellous marine life - I just love it.
Thank you for participating in Sandee & Amelie's Steampunk Challenge.

  10. Well I clicked on your photos to get EVEN BIGGER close-ups. What a super background you achieved for the seascape and the globe sub is excellent and used the transparency well. Assuming you mean the embroidery book on my desk, I used to do loads of that as a teen. Thanks for the visit BJ#39
