Masterboard Monday

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Back again to show you how I used this left-over Masterboard.

A great video popped up in my email box from Clip-N-Cuts last week and I just fell in love with it.

If you would like to see what got me so excited here is the link.

I have just bought this stamp set and thought it would be great for celebration cards so here goes!

Left over Masterboard:
I originally made this using the Bokeh technique which reminds me of bubbles, perfect to use with these new Tim Holtz stamps.

So first of all I stamped one of the images on to plain card and coloured it in using brush pens.

I removed a little of the ink from the ice by dabbing on water and blotting it and added Stickles Glitter glue and the salted edge of the glass was made with Puffy Fluffy Stuff from Inkilicious which you just heat gently and it puffs up.

Then cut around the main images and place the piece on one side.

Next start to stamp some interesting images to the background.

Edge with matching ink and then stamp the glass onto the background.

As I intend placing the coloured image onto the card, I applied some shadow around the stamped image.

Lay the glass on top to check that you have enough shadow.

I have some of these Tim Holtz tapes which I never got round to using so this is the ideal time.

I found these sticky labels when going through my stash and decided to use these too.
You need to keep going and adding detail until satisfied with the finished design.

Once you have built up the design the card is ready to construct.

And there we have it.
I could not resist adding a few clear gems and white pen highlights complete the design.

So there you have it all finished.
I shall definitely be making more of these using the different stamps in the set.

I would love to hear your comments and many thanks for stopping by.

Happy stamping,

Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Maisie's enjoying the sunshine but by the time you see this she will have been for a hair cut.

Not sure what Stan is doing but then he probably doesn't know either.
The change in temperature has warmed the pond up and the fish are really hungry, like all the time!

If you were around on Wednesday you would have seen this.
My poor desk, a forced craft holiday for me so I just had to go out with friends instead. Oh dear, never mind Lol!
We sat outside gossiping, brilliant.

And this is the reason as we had workmen in doing some work on the roof.

It was about now that they found the wasp nest Hee! Hee!

Flowers are looking nice.

Fruit trees starting to bloom.

Can you see what this is and what happened to it?
I will report back next week but what do you think?.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW# 464 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!
You may notice it looks different and some things have been moved though my exploding box is about to blow and needs sorting.

Now had you arrived at the weekend it would have looked like this!

Not a pretty site but Maisie doesn't seem to mind in fact I think she's liking it, all those sheets make it a comfy place to snooze!

We've been having work done on the roof and they had to get at part of it from inside so everything had to be moved and covered.

However......

I have a few things out waiting for me to get making again.

Look at those gorgeous stencils which I got from That's Crafty for my 'Top 3' piece.

I have a mask out too but not sure yet what I'm going to do with it.

I need to get on with making some ATCs.

So that's me done for today.
I have to go meeting friends this morning but will visit you all later, just let me know you've been.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge 'Birthdays'

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Lin is hosting today and our challenge is 'Birthdays'.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to be cards, as long as it meets the challenge.

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:
which is actually left-over from an earlier project.

The card is 7"x7" and I have covered it with the left-over paper and used a small strip to add the ribbon across the centre.
The sentiment was made using a die, cutting it twice. One was cut using black card and the other using the Masterboard. I love the shadow it creates.

A close-up here shows the Masterboard background which was made by applying white gel through a Paper Artsy stencil and when dry I applied the Distress Oxide ink. I have also added some of the oxide through a stencil for added interest.
Rub over the stencilling to clean off the ink and then stamp with a text stamp and rub over the stencilling again to clean away the stamping which gives the effect of the text being behind the stencilling.

I finished the card off by adding a few gems which helps to attract your eye around the design.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Lots of circles on this Masterboard so entering the card in That's Crafty 'Going Round In Circles' challenge.

Friday Fun day

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Remember this?

Well I had a great weekend and here are a few photos to prove it.

Saturday was the Workshop day.
Not working very hard on this photo as we were on a coffee break.

Not mine but good examples of some of the cards we made.

If you were around Wednesday you will have seen this already. Some examples of my projects.

And a close-up of the dirty pour I did on the Sunday.

And some more examples at the show on Sunday. You can see why they call it a dirty pour Lol!

But the end result is lovely!

Some of the ladies doing the 'Make and Take'.

And shopping too, what could be better!

I've been a bit busy with other stuff too but also managed to do a bit more on the Hare.

And if that's not enough I won these on the 'That's Crafty Challenge' and they arrived this week so more fun to follow there.

So that's about it for now.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW # 463 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Now this must be one of the worst messes ever!

I've finished off all my samples for the Craft Barn and I'm trying to have a complete reshuffle.

Sadly if you're not aware the shop is closing as the owners have decided to retire so I'm going to have a rest from the DT stuff and have a tidy up then possibly look for another company if anyone will have me Lol! though I am still doing the Crafty Cardmakers challenges.

Anyway if you're interested there will be loads of bargains on the site as Sandy is selling the lot.
At the moment there is a 20% discount off everything but this will gradually increase as the weeks go on.
I know we don't normally advertise stuff here but didn't want you all to miss out on a bargain if there is something you want find it here.

Anyway back to the desk.

Samples from my weekend away at Newark.

I had a go at a dirty pour which I've been wanting to do for some time and I'm sure there will be more of this to come.

Naturally had to buy a few things.

Sorry my post is a bit longer than usual but I'm all done now.
Who knows I might even get tidied up before next week.
I need to pass on some old stash to friends or a charity shop as space is getting to be a problem so better get on with the sorting.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Angela x
