Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

You can probably guess from this photograph what we've been up to this week, it's an endless job in the garden at the moment.

Also have a few more photos of our trip to Lake Annecy in France.

To start here we are in the restaurant having our evening meal.

If you like French food at it's best this is the place to be.

And you can't visit France without cheese and of course it has to be regional.

My favourite, the scrummy desert.

On the Monday we visited Geneva.

This is the little train that takes you around the City.
However we walked so that we could stop off at a few places of interest.

We visited this amazing shop.

And went upstairs to the cafe for a small lunch.
Great view too.

I'm sure this was drink was very healthy combining oranges and carrots.

Then we went for a walk round the city and found some interesting artifacts.

The detail on this gun was beautiful.

I wonder if you can guess what's going on here. We saw several of these at the side of the road.
They all had large windows so you could see inside.
They are working on something quite famous to Geneva ( swiss something?) if you know what it might be please mention it in the comment and I'll give you the answer next week.

It was not supposed to rain until later but it did and we sheltered under this large umbrella next to this beautiful water fountain.

We decided to finish the visit by going to see this famous fountain.

Depending on your age you may remember it from the beginning of a TV program "The Champions":

This is hubby walking away from myself and my friend as he decided it was too wet!

And this is the photograph he took which probably gives you an idea how high this fountain goes up -
140 metres.

You can just about see myself and my friend. We're the two little figures in the distance!
That was one special day.

I think that's enough for today but of course we need a funny to finish.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

Leave me a comment and I'll pop over to see what you've been up to this week too.

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

This is actually just over a week ago but just getting round to sorting the photos.
The one above is in the airport at Manchester.

We were on the plane here but many of you know I love clouds and this is a great photo.

We've arrived at Annecy in France and on our way to the hotel. Our dear friend Pascal came to pick us up from the airport.

Beautiful photo from our room.

And dinner, starter and dessert don't know what happened to the main course, must have eaten it and forgotten to take a photo.

Scrummy!

And a view from the dining room window.

Sunday was a lovely day so we went out with friends to their boat.

Lake Annecy is so beautiful and the cleanest lake in France being filtered all the way round.

This is my dear friend Margaret.

Here we are just setting off.

Margaret enjoying some water skiing and no we didn't join in, saving myself for the winter skiing.

And back on the boat again.
It was a lovely day.

And back for dinner.

I have lots more to show you here but they are for another day.

I'll finish now with some funnies.

This is definitely Daisy.

My two must have gone to this school for sure.

Mmmm.....my two again Lol!

I've picked a few of the grapes which are starting to ripen.
They are very tasty though still quite tart. We have never had grapes like them before. Maybe the hot weather has some advantages.

Still picking damsons they are so gorgerous.
A friend of mine who also grows them was surprised how big they are.

We've been away for a week to visit friends in France at Lake Annecy.
I am looking forward to showing you some photos.

We got up one morning to see these setting off.

Got the best photos I could.

When you see the pics below I'm sure you'll agree my little camera did well.

Another day we visited 'Jardins Secrets'.

This beautiful place is not far from Annecy.

It's owned by a family who are continually adding to it.

There is so much to see and many members of the family have worked on it including the children.

It has a very Moroccon feel to the sculpture of the building.
When I've sorted my photos properly I'll add more here Oh! and unpacked too.

For now I'll finish with a couple of funnies.

This could be Alfie,

and this could be either of them!

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to Iris to see what our other friends have been doing this week and you can also share your  smiles too.
