Crafty Cardmakers Challenge - 256 Celebrations.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Kim is hosting today and our challenge is Celebrations.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to be cards, as long as it meets the challenge.

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

I made two masterboards for this card using Altenew Stamps: 'Halftone Squares' and layered the coloured design over the monotone piece.
The sentiment die is by Die-Versions.
I've gone for even more colour on this card so decided to add some large sequins that have been hanging around.

I have die cut the sentiment twice, one in green Mirri card and the other in grey card to create a shadow towards the back.

This was the original Masterboard which was actually just me playing with some new stamps.

If you'd like to see another project using this Masterboard you can find it here.
And I still have some left so you may well see this turn up again.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.

Crafty Cardmakers 247 - 'Christmas'

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Mary is hosting today and our challenge is 'Christmas'.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to be cards, as long as it meets the challenge.

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

For this card I've used some Christmas paper from my stash, Altenew Poinsettia stamps, Tim Holtz dies and a sentiment die that was free in a magazine.
I finished this off with some Stickles Glitter glue and glazed the petals.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.

Crafty Cardmakers 246 'No Patterned Paper'

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Monika is hosting today and our challenge is 'No Patterned Paper'.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to be cards, as long as it meets the challenge.

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

This Masterboard was made on an A3 sheet of Kraft card. I added screwed up tissue paper, texture with a stencil and layers of paint which I knocked back with some Gesso added with a dry brush.

To construct the card I ripped away a small section of the Masterboard which reveals the Kraft card along the edge leaving about a third of the white card blank showing. Now that's a real popper!

I had a little play around with some Seth Apter die cut pieces, a large gold jigsaw piece and more of the Masterboard.

Once again I've brought in the 'Press and Seal'. I'm beginning to wonder how I managed without it, it certainly makes jobs like this easier.

Once the pieces are well attached to the 'Press and Seal' you can turn it over and add the glue, sticky dots or whatever you wish to use.

Turn everything over and place in position, attach and then carefully ease away the 'Press and Seal'.

Everything looks exactly the same as the original idea, no movement and no problem in trying to remember the plan or photographing it before hand which is what I used to do to ensure the design was in position which never quite ended up as planned.

A few additional gems, Tim Holtz die sentiment and some clear glaze and the card's complete.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.

Crafty Cardmakers 244 - Halloween.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Kim is hosting today and our challenge is Halloween.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to be cards, as long as it meets the challenge.

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

The background to this is a Masterboard, stencils and stamps were used to build up the design on A3 card using black ink.

To this I added some black tissue paper which I screwed up and attached with glue for a little more detail.

Cut the chosen piece to size and attach to the card.

From here I added the details.
Tim Holtz Tangled Twigs laced with the new Frightful Things die (bats), Pumpkin Jack-O-Lantern and Handwritten Halloween sentiment die.
To complete this design I added Stickles Glitter glue and enamel gems.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge # 243 - Add Some Sparkle.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Marlene is hosting today and our challenge is 'Add Some Sparkle'.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to be cards, as long as it meets the challenge.

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

For this challenge I decided to make a Pop-Up box card with lots of sparkly bits.

And you've probably guessed that this is a baby card.
As we don't know the sex of the baby I've used yellow and green for the colour scheme.

Lots of pretty die cut images, papers, ribbons and sentiments.

Very sweet and nice and flat for going in the envelope.

I've included a nice sentiment on the back and room for personal words too.

So there we have it all done.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.

Crafty Cardmakers # 242 - Add a Criter.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Judy is hosting today and our challenge is 'Add a Criter'.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to be cards, as long as it meets the challenge.

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

You can't help but love these Crazy Dogs by Tim Holtz.

And of course there are cats too.
Stamped several of these and then coloured them ready for cutting out with the matching dies.

If you saw me using the 'Press n Seal' before here's another use for it.
I've made cards like this before and always have problems getting the dogs positioned exactly how I want them as when you turn the card over to attach them they tend to move so here I have positioned them and then placed a sheet of the 'Press n Seal' over the top to keep them in place.

When you turn them over there is no movement and I can work on all of them at the same time to attach them.

I then placed a piece of coloured card to cover the back of this design.

The clock shapes were cut using this Tim Holtz die, the clock stamp is by Sam Poole, the sentiment by Lisa Horton for Creative Expressions and Distress Oxide inks for the background.

I've also added one of the dogs to the inside of the card and made up a sentiment here using stamps by Francoise Read for Woodware and Technique Tuesday.

So there you have it all finished and ready to go.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge # 234 -Birthdays.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Josephine is hosting today and our challenge is Birthdays.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to be cards, as long as it meets the challenge.

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

The background for this card was made using the Masterboard below.

This is done on an A3 watercolour paper with Distress Oxides, crackle paste and finished with gold gilding leaf.

This is the stencil I used for the Masterboard.

It's not easy to see but I've also used the same stencil to emboss a piece of white card using my Big Shot.

I don't often use coloured card blanks but have several in my stash. I'm sure you all know that deep cupboard that hold stuff that's not seen the light of day for years! Well I am determined to use it up sooner or later.

I've rounded off the corners to start with ready to mount everything.

And used a stitch effect stamp to edge the design, this is by Cresendoh and the lace effect is actually part of a die cut ribbon which just fits the width of the card and is by Marianne dies
I finished with some matching gems.

The flowers are by Altenew stamps - 'Adore You' and after stamping and colouring these I added some white lines to the darker sections of the petals and leaves with a Uni-ball Gel pen then had a little play with the positioning.

Before adding the flowers I stamped a sentiment. These stamps were a free gift from a magazine, really like them too.

The close-up here shows the finishing touches of gems and more white dots on the stamens.

And there we have it, all done though I know there will be more to follow. There are several colours in the Masterboard so I intend using different coloured card blanks to match so watch this space.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge # 233 - 3, 2, 1,

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Glenda is hosting today and our challenge is 3, 2, 1.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to be cards, as long as it meets the challenge.

We would like to see your creations using 3 of one thing, 2 of another and 1 of a third. For example, 3 patterned papers, 2 diecuts, 1image. It would be helpful in your post if you could mention what your 3,2,1's are.

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

Three different dies used, two different card stock and one ribbon though I have finished it off with lots of gems.

And if you like that, this is how I made it.

One is ivory card and one pink satin card.

Once the die cutting was complete it was time to put the card together.
I think this is my favourite part of the project.

The very centre section of this was die cut and embossed with a 3D embossing folder by Crafter's Companion. The dies are Spellbinders.

I  added the gems as the work progressed as some of these would be covered by other pieces.

For the inside, a small die cut heart by Tim Holtz and the stamps by FISKARS.

This die comes with embossing folders too.

And the completed card with it's ribbon and completed gems.

This was an unusual card for me as I don't normally get to make anything so pretty but I bet you can guess what it's for so I get to use my favourite prettiest dies and ribbon.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.
