Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

I seem to have been so busy that I hardly have anything to show you but I've found one or two pics to offer you here.

Maisie and Stan take centre stage of course. Gosh it's a dogs life Lol!

And in the park everyone's busy.
Quite a nice photo that actually, though I say it myself!

Swans busy and the cygnets are getting bigger every day.

Dad's on guard now while everyone else has a rest.

Now this is especially for Elizabeth as she mentioned Mole hills last week.
Maisie cannot pass a Mole hill without passing water Lol!

And finally the girls were out for a walk again but this time we were in the shopping mall to eat scones and drink coffee....Mmmm maybe this is becoming a bit of a habit!
Interesting view of the Cathedral in the distance there.

Well that's it from me for today off to the gym and then I'll have a peak at what you've all been up to.
Need to work off this week's scones Lol!

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

I had great fun making this one.

I started with this piece of A3  watercolour paper that I had mopped up some inks with as I hate to waste anything.

Added Distress Oxides with a blending tool using these three colours.

Next applied the ink to the craft mat, sprayed it with water and pulled the card through it drying between colours.

Added some yellow too though at the time I didn't like it! then sprayed with water and dabbed off some colour to create a faux bleached effect.

With a circle stencil and a blending tool. I added Gesso to create a bubble effect. Allow the first layer to dry and then go over it again until you have the desired pattern. To be honest it doesn't take long as the Gesso dries really quickly and do you know what? I love the yellow popping out!

Next I cut these into ATC sized pieces and then stamped onto white card a design to go on the top.

I did this using a Tim Holtz stamp and then coloured and fussy cut them.

And here they are. I've spread them out to dry as I added some Stickles Glitter Glue for some added sparkle.
You can just see the stencil I used to the left of the cards.

This close-up shows the sparkle a little better.

And here are a few of the finished cards.

The rest have all gone to their new homes on behalf of the WOYWW swap.

To complete these I added a sentiment.
Some of you may well recognise what these were made for as it's the 10th anniversary of WOYWW, blog hop.

Last year I made a wallet to keep the ATCs in and so decided to make another one for this year but you will have to wait to see that.
Hope you enjoyed watching me make these. They are now winging their way to my swap friends.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x

I would like to enter one of these ATCs in the following challenges:

Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

I nearly always get to Thursday and wonder what to post here but I do have a few photographs to make you smile.

This is Stan in the kitchen looking as though he is wanting something.

And here he is again looking at the counter, now I wonder what might have been up there that interested him so much! Just as well that he can't reach it Lol!

Apart from going to the gym, taking mum shopping, gardening and crafting I also went to the Fish farm for some new fish food and came back with a new fish......now how did that happen!
Anyway a few picks of some of the fish we saw.

It's difficult here to see how big they actually are but they're about 35/36cm, something like that maybe even a bit longer.
I knew what I wanted but it was hard as there are so many others that I would love.

However I really wanted a Kohaku which is a white koi with red markings.

There were a few I really liked but look at them they are all gorgeous.

These two were my favourites but there was only one that fitted with what I really wanted.

So this beauty followed me home Lol! and is now happily swimming in my pond. I believe it is a girl going on the excitement that some of the other fish were showing when she arrived.

We also took my mum out shopping and I had this gorgeous drink in Pizza Express. It's a strawberry lemonade made with Sicilian lemons and tastes wonderful.

Not a brilliant photograph but this is inside the restaurant.

This of course isn't, as it's in the park and the cygnets are doing well.
This was last week.

And this week they are way bigger! That pond weed must be good stuff.
Anyway I think that's enough for now.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for

WOYWW # 520 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

Happy WOYWW anniversary to you all.

So here is my desk for today!

Not really much in the way of crafting this week as I've been trying to tidy up from several projects and finishing my ATCs though to look at this desk you might not think so.

  • The red box contains brass embellishments and those are Tim Holtz bits on the top.
  • This may be a sign of the ATC projects, a packet just to the left with ATC cards and envelopes.
  • Exploding box full as usual so nothing different there!
  • A pile of magazines waiting to be sorted and a nice Inkylicious stamp just to the right.
  • Tucked just behind the stamp are some new Alcohol Pearl inks but not had chance to try them out yet.
  • The little brown book to the right of the stamp is where I store all the Birthday dates.
  • To the back of the magazines is a packet of Father's Day stamps.

And I think that's it really.
Looking forward to the ATC swaps.
If we've not agreed to swap but you would like to just leave me a message and I'll get back to you.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge # 234 -Birthdays.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Josephine is hosting today and our challenge is Birthdays.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to be cards, as long as it meets the challenge.

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

The background for this card was made using the Masterboard below.

This is done on an A3 watercolour paper with Distress Oxides, crackle paste and finished with gold gilding leaf.

This is the stencil I used for the Masterboard.

It's not easy to see but I've also used the same stencil to emboss a piece of white card using my Big Shot.

I don't often use coloured card blanks but have several in my stash. I'm sure you all know that deep cupboard that hold stuff that's not seen the light of day for years! Well I am determined to use it up sooner or later.

I've rounded off the corners to start with ready to mount everything.

And used a stitch effect stamp to edge the design, this is by Cresendoh and the lace effect is actually part of a die cut ribbon which just fits the width of the card and is by Marianne dies
I finished with some matching gems.

The flowers are by Altenew stamps - 'Adore You' and after stamping and colouring these I added some white lines to the darker sections of the petals and leaves with a Uni-ball Gel pen then had a little play with the positioning.

Before adding the flowers I stamped a sentiment. These stamps were a free gift from a magazine, really like them too.

The close-up here shows the finishing touches of gems and more white dots on the stamens.

And there we have it, all done though I know there will be more to follow. There are several colours in the Masterboard so I intend using different coloured card blanks to match so watch this space.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.
