woyww - 679 - What's On your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

It looks a bit quiet because I'm working on a card for a Guest designer spot.

And that's what you can see on the table but no where near finished.

These are a small selection of the ATCs I sent out.

And this is the lovely one that I got from Julia.

I so love this from Susan Renshaw. Nice stamp too which will go in my collection.

And this is the inside, lovely sentiment.
Hope mine has arrived with you Susan x

These are journaling cards that are waiting to be used.

I got these two Pressure tools from Amazon as they are useful for the stamping platform if you have a large stamp that need lots of pressure. Though of course I only need one here so will probably put one of them in my club bag.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Angela x

Masterboard Envelope

Hi Sunday Bloggers  this is a last minute posting. I decided to use the Steampunk Masterboard to make this month's envelope swap for my friend, so if you are watching Gloria, it's on it's way!

I like brown envelopes they always seem to give a nice background to start the design on.

I have used the bottle again on this piece as part of the back flap.
I do love envelopes, there is so much more we can do with them, they often feel quite left out lol!

And as always had to finish it off with an ATC to go inside.
This would make a great topper for a card.

Hope you are able to pop over to Ali-Craft blog tomorrow to see my finished Design Team effort.

Bye for now
Big Hugs, Angela x

Masterboard Monday

Hi Bloggie  friends I have been amazed this week at the interest I have received with the Steampunk shadow box I made using matchboxes.
I love anything Steampunk and it would seem that I am not the only one, lol!
I have to thank Sandee and Amelie's choice of challenge.

However, I have still found time to work on the family journal
using the Masterboard papers and cards posted last Monday.
I think I am nearly ready to start the construction.
I like to have all the bits and pieces ready and then start playing around with the page designs.

Been cutting up some of the Masterboards to make pockets, borders and frames.
I love the Vintage Cabinet dies by Tim Holtz and have used them a lot and also his border dies.

This is one of the pockets which will probably hold ATCs.

The photographs were printed onto brown craft paper. I wasn't sure that it would work but it is always worth a try and they printed really well.

I used a sepia setting on Picasa 3.
The paper is smooth on one side and slightly rough on the other and I printed it on the rough side.
Although it's not easy to see, the frame has been embossed with clear embossing powder.

Guess that's it for now and hope to start putting it together this week if other things don't get in the way of construction lol!
Hoping you like it so far, love to read your comments.

Masterboard Monday

Hi Blogtonians more masterboard today and one I made for the envelope swap.

This is the masterboard with a close-up showing the detail.
It was made with a combination of clear embossing then swiping ink off the craft mat and stamping.

Here is the finished envelope with ATC and Bookmark.
I have to mention that the cord was taken from a Joules swing ticket.
You wouldn't expect me to throw such a lovely cord away would you lol!

The bookmark and ATC give a clear view of the texture which was created using Texture Paste and then colouring with Gilding Wax, such a nice little gift to add.

The stamps for this were Creative Expressions, Vintage Vixens and Steampunk Sirens and I used Sakura Gelly Roll pens to colour her.

Various embellishments completed the project.

The close-up shows the Stickles Glue which I added.
You have to have some shiny bits,
'It's the Law' lol!

Envelope Journal

Hi Blognuts,  I have been so pleased with the comments I have received and would like to thank all those people who have been kind enough to leave such encouraging words.

The crafting comes easy but the blogging has been an uphill journey and I am learning new things every day, so thanks to you all.

So here is the finished envelope made from the Masterboard shown yesterday.
I used Chocolate Baroque stamps as shown below.

I wasn't sure about the way it looked at this stage but you just have to keep going, nothing exciting ever happens if you don't make some mistakes lol!

I then cut the paper into four pieces and completed the front by attaching some of the small flower heads cut out earlier (see Monday's post) and added glaze to these.
The large butterfly was completed with layered sections and stickles glue, giving good dimension to the envelope.

The back was completed by stamping directly onto the envelope, finishing with stickles glue and an Irish blessing, also Chocolate Baroque.

Close up of the front.

          Close up of the back.

And an ATC to finish, got to have something nice to go inside.

So there you have it and time to go.
