WOYWW - 594 -What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

Hi all.
Not got the exploding box sorted yet as I'm still busy with the baby journals.
And as there's not much going on here today I'm going to show you something new.

I should feel guilty for buying these as I still have new stuff that I've not used yet but guess what!!! I'm not Lol!
I could hardly resist the Altenew set with great stamping images and a die too.

The second set has some nice sentiments and images so got that one but I also feel that I need some ideas for Christmas cards at the moment probably more than I need the stamps.

I think my head is so full of these baby journals that I can't think of anything else.
I'd also like to thank those of you that left me such kind comments about the few pages that I showed you last week.
I don't normally do nice clean projects like these but the papers are easy to use and I have enjoyed making the journals but I'll be glad when they are finished and I can get back to getting my hands dirty.
Don't worry I'll be sure that you get to see more of them soon.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Angela x

I know what you mean Angela - clean and tidy is nice - I love watching YT videos where people show their amazing mini albums they made with amazing patterned paper (especially Stamperia!) - they really wow me - but I'm itching to get my hands dirty and the two things are kind of separate. Although I have seen Stamperia papers used in amazing mixed media projects too, but I still have to learn how to do that - the danger is that I'll just end up covering those amazing designs, which would be a shame - so for the time being, I'm just stroking those papers. I can see why you couldn't resist those new stamps! Happy Wednesday and happy creating! zsuzsa #13

Hi Angela.. I’m thinking that first magazine is one that Chrissie had on last weeks desk and shows card from it this week. Love the Stamos too. Glad don’t see these mags, I’d have trouble walking by too. Why do you call it a baby mag? That really puzzled me .. back to peek at previous pages.
Thanks for Sharing, God bless and keep you safe, and all those you love, hugs Shaz in Oz.x #5

We should never feel guilty at new purchases....It works like a tonic and at times like this we all need that. Love your new stash.

I have that magazine but haven't used it as yet, I like to make at least one card from each magazine.
Smashing stencil you've chosen, I can see lots of use in that.
Have a good week

Gorgeous stamps - I can see why you were tempted! Like you I'm needing Christmas card ideas and this is the time I often go a bit berserk buying Christmassy stuff as I can't possibly make anything with the meager 4 or 5 drawers full of festive stuff I already have!!
I hope the Christmas creativity flows soon and I hope you enjoy using your lovely new stash.

Hi Angela. What a fantastic stamp and die set came with that first magazine - the sentiments are good on that second one. Well spotted.
Those journals are beautiful - I'm sure you will soon be back getting your fingers mucky, though!
Take care. God bless.

Angela, I totally understand about the stamp buying!! LOL I have been really good as of late, so I have to stay clear of that trap! LOL I would love to have the Christmas sentiment stamps as don't really have any to speak of. They are always good to have in your staff in a pinch, which is usually my case! LOL Well blessings for the rest of your week. Felicia #32

Lovely new stash to play with, Angela! The baby journal project is very different for you, and clean too lol! I'm usually a dirty person when it comes to art in the studio as I love adding layers and altering papers etc. I'm not generally one for using straight patterned papers without alteration but I do love what other people do, and find it really inspiring.

Thank you for your visit - it must be lovely to have such a nice collection of rugs. Ours are all modern repro ones but I do love the patterns too. Glad you enjoyed watching the kitties being distracted away from their tea!! They usually come in like little rockets at that time of day and don't give us a moment's peace till they get fed. As for the bread maker, we don't eat bread every day. I make a loaf and once it's cold, I slice it and freeze it, and take out slices as and when we need them - that way it's always really fresh and delicious. I love to be able to make bread where I'm sure of the ingredients (no unpronounceable chemicals) and that doesn't come out tasting like soggy polystyrene! Bought bread always tastes so insubstantial to me these days.

Happy WOYWW,

I hear you about working on the same thing especially when it goes against your true artistic outlook, albums are not easy to create anytime but they will be beautiful when finished. Here's to happy messy times ahead very soon so you can play with lots of unloved goodies. The Altenew stamps look very useful.
Stay safe & creative Hugs Tracey xx

Seeing your mag sets of stamps I'm reminded that I need to make a thank you card for my son's MIL who bought a crafty mag for me the other day when she was shopping in Waitrose! Not sure if a can make a thank you card from Christmas stamps, but we'll see!
Stay safe

Ah Angela I feel for you missing your inky hands! I get like that too, in fact I'd love to get messy today but have other things to finish first that need to be pristine so staying away from the ink pads today. I have to confess I have both of those mags and stamp sets. Really don't need any more but they are both very nice sets and I have actually used something from both of them already!! Thanks for your visit, stay well, stay safe, Cindy #25

I was very tempted by the those magazines, I told myself I had enough stamps, but looking at yours maybe I will go back and get them. Have a great week Angela #36

Altenew always have the knack of coming up with lovely stamps haven't they. These are lovely and I can imagine just the word and a bit of something else is all you need for a lovely CAS card.
I have resisted buying Christmas stamps up to now - I have so many and only use them the once so am trying to cut back on buying them. Not that I am cutting back on buying - Tracy Evans is taking all my money at the moment but I so enjoy the work she has and still is putting in with her stamps. Maybe you could say her pinecone is a Christmas stamp - I will certainly be using it - on Kraft card!

Hi, good to be back in the saddle post-op, didn't think it would take me 2 months to get back to crafting, although I haven't been just sitting around, just doing other things...

Oh you can't mention baby journals without expecting me to page back to see what I have missed and I found some sneaky peak pages, they look super.

Thanks for the visit BJ#26

Hi Angela! So nice to see your smiling face on my blog yesterday. Thank you for the visit. What is it about baby journals right now? LOL I'll be finishing the pages this weekend and have a video on Monday. Goodness the weekend will go fast! Sometimes we just gotta have something new. The other 'new' will be there when their time comes. Creative Blessings, dear friend. Kelly #31

Hi Angela, sorry for the late visit, I've got techy gremlins on my blog and can't read the comments and not sure the ones I've left are showing either! Anyway, love your new stamp set, I'm sure you'll get great use out of it, those large scripty words are fab. Have a great week. Annie C #23

Hi Angela! Listen, we crafters don't know the words or regret when it comes to purchasing craft goodies. As I write to you, there is a stack of new stuff I have bought over the last three weeks (some I have used and others still spankin' new) so you are speaking to the choir. haha. I love all of Altenew stamps and I did see those beauties you got. I ended up buying the "warm blessings" set and haven't broken the seal yet but intend to for some of my Christmas cards. I plan to work on some more at my weekly Zoom craft session. If I use it, I will be sure to share photos next week. I am hoping to make at least a small dent in my Christmas cardmaking before November 1st. Lofty goals indeed! I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Sorry I’m late! I’m with you, you need to get the journals done because otherwise you’ll be distracted and pulling yourself back to them might be harder than you think! Love those Altenew stamps, I wouldn’t have much guilt over those either!

Hi Angela! Lovely new stamps! I've been getting lots of Christmas Card ideas from Pintrest and You Tube, puts me right in the mood, especially You Tube! last year I made a "clean" Christmas book for DD, so I know just how you feel! Sorry I'm so late this week! Thanks for your visit! Lindart #34

oooh not been to a newsagents for a while, may have to pop in as I keep forgetting some have these beautiful stamps and when they include a die too, that's great value.

Love your latest post of the bonsai's and how they are turning colour, my dad was a keen bonsai plantsman and when he died I had a few of his empty pots and keep thinking I should have a go, especially acers (dojo is my favourite, so pretty).
Thanks for visiting my desk already
