Masterboard Journal Grids.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am back to the Masterboard Journal Grids today:
If you've not seen it before there are other pages here:here: here: and here:

I've been playing with a stencil (Crafters Workshop 'Organic Matter') to create the look of the sea.

And next, tear and cut these to fit the grids.

And layered this with some papers to resemble the beach.
I've added some dotty stamping to give a textured look to the sand and then added the sea. I applied some textured medium to the edge to create the Seafoam too.

I have some left over sea shells from another project and thought these might go well with it.

I've added some Stickles Glitter glue to the waves.

This is not my usual collage page but I still like the way the grids have turned out.

I found a stamp from a magazine freebe and thought that would work well with this. Stamped and heat embossed it.

The die cut net effect is by Altenew.

Now you might well see some of these grids again as they are not all completed yet so we'll see and I might use some of them as card fronts too.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Ups and downs this week but I'm still here.
However......

The painting fairy has been

which has made the cabin look like new again.

The inside has been getting plenty of use.

But mainly it's the garden today.

The flowrers are looking beautiful.

Hubbies favourites are the

We have several of these all slightly different colours.

Next the most gorgeous rose and it smells beautiful too.

Fox Gloves, no idea where they come from but they look lovely.

The Bonsai are doing well but I think it's time for some repotting this year.

The fruit trees are looking good though the birds have been helping themselves again.

Apples doing well.
The lack of frost helped them to maintain the buds.

Pears next, lots of them.

The birds don't seem so interested in these.

We even have some damsons this year.

Just hope we manage to keep some.

And a quick visit to the park where we saw these babies.

Not a brilliant photo as I took it at quite a distance with my phone. Four cygnets this year.

And funnies of course.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW -780 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesdasy.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the
Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

Wishing you all a very happy WOYWW Anniversary!

Not too exciting though today as I've just finished working on a masterboard project which is why the exploding box looks like it's about to give in but I'll get that sorted soon.
The red spotty tub has washi tape in it and towards the back left are all the ATCs in a tub though you can't see them from here.
There's a nice Funky Fossil paper pad towards the back left too and to the right of that are bottles of Stickles Glue and as you come forward on the right are a collection of glues and my tool holder.
At the center is just a piece of black card a scanned copy of one of my masterboards from Monday.

And that's it really, still trying to make my mind up what to take with me to the Crop though I'm sure I'll not get much done Lol!

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

It feels like some time since I did this as I've been otherwise occupied but I'm working my way back again.

This is one of the original masterboard backgrounds that I made using washing up liquid, a straw and inks to create bubbles.
If you like this technique and would like to see how I did it then the details are here:

Couldn't help but have a little play with the originals and this one was altered on PICASA, a photo editing program. I recommend it.

So what came next?

Some new and old stamps by Kate Crane.
I used some of the new ones to stamp directly onto the card blank and a seperate piece of card which I attached later before adding the bubble card.
The focal image are some older stamps and much loved.
I think they all work well with the bubble paper and hope you like it too.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Pond work.
Filter cleaning and that's another job done.
Thanks to hubby!
I did buy him those nice long gloves especially for the job! Not sure he was too impressed at the gift until he started using them Lol!

These are the spongy bits from inside the filter that traps the waste stuff from the pond.

This type of filter only needs cleaning like this twise a year which I'm sure hubby is pleased about.

You may remember this plant from last week and it's gradually opening and looks beautiful.

If you were around on Wednesday you will have seen this as I have spent some time in the cabin making ATCs.

With my little helpers.
Can you see the dog mat? it belongs in the cabin.....

and now it's in the garden!

Alfie might be little but when he gets it on him!
He's showing you how smart he is here, as if butter wouldn't melt!

I gave up trying to catch him and went for the dog biscuits. Every time I got near him he grabbed the mat and dragged it away.
He was having a great time but can't resist a biscuit.

Funnies next I think.....

My two are going in the kennels soon.....

But don't think we'll need this as the kennel lady knows them well.

I would love all these but don't think it would go down well but it's true for sure except when someone's been eating stuff in the garden and decides to be sick and I will say no more than that.

One of Daisies favourite games...given half a chance that is!

She likes to catch you unaware and lick you nose.
No idea why!
Well that's not quite right, she like to get her tongue right up your nose! right up!

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

WOYWW -779 - What's On Your Workdcesk Wednesday.

I needed plenty of space to complete the ATCs so we're in the cabin and you may just notice that I have a helper too.

Just about done now which is unusual for me to be finished early.

My helpers! and that's my cardigan on the floor that Alfie pulled of the hook and a piece of card from my collection of saved fodder.

For my nosey friends a little look round is called for. This is one of the spare tables where I keep some finished projects and my T-Cut, very useful when polishing the resin. There are some new moulds there too.

And on the right side of the cabin are some canvas pieces.
The box is for a friend who works as a nanny. These are a few things to occupy her little friends.
There is a very large paintbrush there too but not sure yet how I will use it.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
