WOYWW - 564 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

I don't know where to start today as so many people have been asking me questions about things you've seen on my desk and blog so I'll show you the desk and then try to answer some of your questions.

So here is my desk for today!

Busy as I'm finishing off a project in my Art journal.

Don't worry if you think this is an old post, it's not but I do have another of those tubes on my desk waiting for me to decorate it.
The earlier one is still waiting to be completed but I promise you will get to see it again.
The other stuff is a project I've been working on with some Altenew stamps and dies and the stamp you can see is by Visible Image and I'm using this in my journal.
The big white tub is Gesso and the red and whit spotty box is holding some Oxide stamps that I've been working with.

Collection of odds and ends.

This is the front of my journal. Not a very good photograph as the sun was shining in.

So now I will try to answer your questions but if I miss something just ask again.

  • The Tuxedo card is another type of Pop Up Box card and I've put you a link here where you can see more.
  • The little Rabbit die that was on my desk last week is a Tim Holtz Movers and Shapers Easter Bunny but it is an old one and they also did a larger version of the same rabbit however I noticed that Sizzix have produced this again as a metal die for the Sidekick and Country View Crafts have them here.
  • The Exploding box got lost when we had the roof altered with other stuff which I still haven't found but sure they will all turn up again soon.
  • The tubes which I have been working on originally had one of those bottles with the oil and reeds. The small piece is the lid which fits in the top.
Finally I've been busy this week moving craft stuff from the loft to the new cabin so I should have some photographs to show you in there soon.

So that's it from me, all done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Angela x

Thanks for sharing your fun photos I did go back a few posts to catch up on all your great cards, journals and of course your dogs. Your journal cover is gorgeous, love the soft colors. It is BIG !! Will be fun to see what you fill it with. Have a great week, I am enjoying the "Home" confinement but we truly need SUN and WARMTH here. So damp/foggy/windy I just don't go out even in the yard. Next week talking of 60's so that will be great. Stay safe.

What a fab journal cover - love the soft colours you have on it. Anything with a clock always is a winner with me and I have so many 'time' pieces I really should make something again but it is all down to the back' as to what I do these days.
Really looking forward to seeing the tubes and now another one is on the go it should make for a wonderful display.
Take care, Hugs, Neet 7 xx

Always lovely to see your interesting projects but, even more interesting to get the background briefing. I completely missed that you have a new cabin for your crafting stuff. I'm thinking studio/atelier but you may have a cabin in the country?? Going to check out previous posts to see if there are more details.
Have fun and stay safe.

Exciting that you’re moving stuff to the cabin. It all takes so much longer than anticipated. Ive learned to go with the flow and enjoy the progressions! Interesting post Angela...I wondered what the tubes had been for...those reed diffusers are even more useful now!! I hadn’t seen the bunny die before, and now you’ve investigated for me and I feel enabled.@ Your journal page is amazing, so much texture and I like the wooden birds ver much.

Hello Angela, I have a large clock I was wondering what to do with, now I know.
Great Journal cover. I can see you are in for a busy time transferring your stash to it's new home. Do you have a ready supply of those tubes? I got rid of some large tubes before Christmas, I do wish I hadn't now! I can't get on Julia's site. It was playing up before, telling me it was unsafe and did I wish to continue, but now it just comes up error :( So here is my link.

Hello! I love seeing your desk to see what goodies you have pulled out to play with. Your journal cover looks so intricate. I love it. It sounds like you are well and keeping yourself busy with some wonderful crafts. It is a blessing to have hobbies at this time. I love crafting, reading and gardening. The first two are occupying my time lately but in another month I will be able to start tinkering in my garden!
Stay well, my friend.

Great journal cover!! I had problem starting on the tuxedo cards because I couldn't work out where the crosspieces should go until I saw the version made by Mixed Up Crafts then I could it. I think I refer them to the box cards now. Happy WOYWW, stay well, stay safe, Cindy #23

Thanks for your visit, Angela. I agree, as long as the kitties have their sleeps and treats and times playing in the garden, they are happy enough! Last week I couldn't get any cat food... We are well stocked up again now, though. I can't understand people either. At the beginning of all this, I heard of people panic buying baby formula because they couldn't get dried milk, which there had been a run on, like the loo paper. These people didn't even have babies!! Things do seem to have settled down a bit now, though, but the non-availability of delivery slots continues to be a worry. I do understand how concerned you must be about your elderly parents. I am just glad that Mum isn't still around because she wouldn't have understood ANY of this... She was 96 when she died, but she was in residential care at the end of her life. Dad was unfortunately away with the fairies with dementia for the last 18 months of his 90 year old life and didn't understand much about anything, bless him. I am glad he died before I got cancer, so he was spared all the worry of that, although from a selfish point of view I would have valued his support - he was a doctor and would have understood a lot better than Mum did, and would have helped her understand and maybe stopped her being so difficult during that time, when she added a lot of unnecessary stress to my life on top of everything else.

Tesco's emailed me today to say they had plans afoot to try and protect the slots for their more vulnerable customers so I hope they get that in place soon. I've moaned to the delivery drivers about it, and also phoned Tesco. When I emailed them about it, I just got a blanket reply from them saying they were too busy to answer emails! I must say I was getting pretty desperate. At least I've got my hubby to go out and get stuff we need if Tesco fails to come up trumps, but things do seem to be settling down a bit better now.

Your poor Dad, on his biscuit rations!!

Hugs,
Shoshi x

Hi Angela,

I have to admit I did scan the first photo rather eagerly for a glimpse of that beautiful tube box, but patience is a virtue and I'm sure it will have been well worth the wait when it makes its next appearance! Besides, I'm the worst person for having 'interludes' between starting and finishing projects. Sometimes they just need a bit of time to brew!
In the meantime you have so much interesting stuff on the go, and I really love that journal cover - thanks for showing it. Beautiful colours and textures there!
Have a good week!

What a fabulous journal cover, Ang - it's truly just singing in the sun! Thanks for that! And I'm intrigued by your collection of odds and ends - I'm going to have endless fun trying to decide what the red, white and blue lumpish thing front and centre is. :D

Great that you're still so productive at this desk whilst already starting to prepare the cabin. Nice to see the cover of the art journal too. I always think I won't decorate mine until they're complete so that I can get nice and dimensional on the cover if I want to... but I'm starting to despair of ever "finishing" any one journal, given that I seem to have more than ten on the go at a time - all different shapes and sizes!
