Make it on Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a new journal page:

I love steampunk and it seems to be getting a revival amongst crafters at the moment though it never went away here.
This project ended up as a variety of techniques.

I've used Stamperia papers today to create the images but the idea came from this die cut cog:

I cannot remember when I made it and it turned up when I started clearing out my cabin.
It was die cut then covered in kitchen foil, embossed and painted with orange, black, purple and  Magenta pink.

I've used the seedless preserve by Tim Holtz to apply a small amount of colour to the images I've used to make them work with the background colours.

So here goes for the background:

Started with some yellow Distress Oxides.

then oranges, pinks and lilac.

Gradually building the colours up.

Stencil next to add some grungy marks.

Always love this part though I generally make a mess here with small white splatters.

Remove the low tack tape:
Stamping next to add more detail to the background using black ink.
I've left the centre slightly lighter in colour to highlight the rest of the design.

Next added some images and a sentiment from the Stamperia set. A little bit of shading and highlights, finished with some Glitter Glue and it's complete.

I so love it and hope you do too.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x
