That Craft Place Challenge and Masterboard.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
And here is my new design for :
That Craft Place Challenge Blog.

As usual this fortnight's theme is:
Mixed Media Anything Goes!
So lets see what you can come up with!

But before you start here is my piece using a variety of products from That Craft Place.

For this project I am using the other part of the MDF heart.

You may remember me using the frame section for my last project.

And this Masterboard.

And today I have used the solid part of the heart and more of the Masterboard to create this layered heart:

Started by applying grunge paste through a stencil (available from That Craft Place) and then covering it with adhesive aluminium foil which I rubbed down to cover the hearts and then applied black acrylic paint.

When you've done this, wipe away gently before it's fully dry leaving a thin covering to give an aged effect.

I then used the heart to trace round the Masterboard to get a good shape when cutting out.

I then cut away just enough to reveal the metal below and ripped the heart down the middle and attached it.

At this stage I die cut several more hearts and stitched them together down the centre so they would open up when attached showing the layers which you can see here.

I completed this by adding the embellishments as seen below all of which are available from That Craft Place.

Thank you so much for stopping by.
Hope you will leave a comment so I know if you like my project and maybe pop over and join in the challenge at That Craft Place.

Happy crafting,
Angela x
