Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Kim is hosting today and our challenge is Animal Magic.

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

Tim Holtz cats and various dies with one of my Oxide backgrounds.
The coloured pearls and stickles glitter glue completes the card.

Friday Fun Day

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

And what a change to the weather we have had.

Really cold and frosty.

Whereas last week it was sunny and warm.

Think Maisie is wondering why the fish food isn't arriving.
The water temperature was too cold and the fish were staying low in the pond so no fish food today Maisie!.

But the sun is still shining.

Stan is off for a look round.

This really shows how frosty it was.

And Maisie's showing off what a smart girl she is.

But it wont last.
I'm off now she says enough of that.

Look at that tongue!

Just a few of the things that have made me smile this week.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

Back to The Craft Barn with a Mechnical Greetings.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi everyone just here to let you know this is another project for The Craft Barn and it's live now.

I've been working with Elena Zinski stamps (Paper Artsy) to create a card with movement and here is the result.

You can probably see here that some of the images are attached to strips of acetate which means they bounce around.

If you would like to see more details of how I made this card then pop over to The Craft Barn.

I would love to hear what you think about my project and any comments will be gratefully received.

Look forward to seeing you at The Craft Barn.

Happy crafting,

Angela xXx

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

The Masterboard was made using Tim Holtz stencils and Distress Oxides.
If you think this looks familiar it's because I made two in different colours and the instructions for making are here.

Using small sections of the Masterboard allows you to create lots of cards and that's just what we need to get a several made quickly.

The little guy is from the Paper Artsy Zinis ZN11, the sentiment is again ElenaZinski Art stamps ZA19 and the mistletoe background is Christmas Greenery by Cardio. His hat is a metal brad and his eyes are glazed.

I think there may be more of these soon.

Hope you like the card.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Not really got much to show you this week as I've been busy making Christmas cards, going to the gym, taking my mum shopping, you know the usual but I have been out in the garden again so here are some nice autumnal photos.

Maisie searching for fish food, always her favourite game.

I wonder if you can see me on the photograph below?

The garden looks so lovely at this time of the year especially when the sun is out.

Maisie seems to be getting in the photos today and Stan is there somewhere.

Guess the garden photo might be snow next Lol!

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

So here is my desk for today!

Hi all, exploding box very close to.....
Think I had better try and remove some stuff soon.
It's all those Christmas cards that need making and as if that's not enough people keep having birthdays too Lol!

Anyhow!

Almost everything on there is Christmas card based though there is my Starbook tucked towards the back left and a mini notebook that I am thinking might be made into gifts for Christmas when I get round to decorating the cover (I have a few of these and just need to get round to finishing them).
If you would like to see more of the Starbook it's here: Starbook
It's actually just below this post.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge - Anything but a Card.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

I'm hosting today and our challenge is 'Anything but a Card'.

You can enter anything you fancy but this time no cards please, just make sure it meets the challenge, and doesn't exceed the 15 total challenges entered rule!

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

00ooOoo00

I started a Star Book ages ago and it just got left when other things needed to be done so this seemed like a good time to complete it.

This was as far as I got with it then stopped.
Not exactly very exciting!

Stopping and trying to start again....not a good idea really as it's always hard to get going!
However making a Star Book is quite a lengthy job and it's too easy to get distracted!

These are the other bits that I had already worked on.
You need three sets of pages, all slightly smaller.

Back pages.

Middle pages.

Inner pages.

So I took the inner pages and added more detail in the hope it would get me started again.

To these I added some inspirational sentiments.

I used some Tim Holtz dies to remove part of the pages so that the middle page would be revealed when completed.

Next: The Front Cover.

This piece was left over from some of the pages.

So more inking and stamping.

Decided to tone this down a bit so knocked it back by using Gesso through a stencil and added a little extra white detail with a pen.

Cut this in half ready to cover two pieces of stiff card which will become the front and back covers.

Here I have stamped and die cut some spare pieces of card to use as additional embellishments.

The front and back almost completed.

And so to the inner pages.

I used these as the back pages and joined these first by attaching the back of each page with the next leaving the first and last page free to be attached to the cover.

Then attach the middle pages.

And then the front pages and the covers, do remember before adding the front covers to apply the ties which will be held between the cover and the page.

When the book is opened it looks like this.

A few samples here to show the view through the die cut sections.

The front and back cover completed with a few brass embellishments for added bling.

I have not given you the whole tutorial here as this is a lengthy process and would have require lots more photographs but there are plenty of tutorials relating to this on Pinterest and YouTube.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.
