So here is my desk for today!

Actually this was Monday.

And this was Tuesday.

Painting pebbles for Halloween which are now bagged up and ready to hide though I will have to keep one or two of my favourites.

As soon as I've cleared these it's back to the Christmas cards again.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge # 221 - Explosion of colour.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Angela (me of course!) is hosting today and our challenge is Explosion of Colour, bet this will be fun!

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to be cards, as long as it meets the challenge.

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

If this doesn't explode with colour I don't know what does.
I started this card by stamping onto the black card blank with Distress oxides.

I used the die above to cut the squares from a Masterboard made earlier using Gel medium through a stencil and then adding Pixie and Brusho powders.
These squares can be difficult to position so I applied glue to them before attaching to the card.
Pull the die gently away from the card which leaves the squares glued down in exactly the right place leaving just the edges still attached to the die.
How easy is that.

I used a Tim Holtz text die and a white and black pen to add dots around the squares to add interest.

Quite a mixture of techniques today but pleased with the finished card.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.

Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Lots of visiting my parents but managed to get some gardening done too.
This little Acer Bonsai has lost all it's leaves now but I think it's when they are bare like this that you are able to see just how much it looks like the full size tree.
It has a great shape with well proportioned branches and a lovely thick, well shaped trunk.

I am particularly fond of this tree as it was dug up and potted for me by the late and very knowledgeable Harry Tomlinson.
If you live in the UK the Bonsai garden has now been taken over by his sons. It is called Greenwood Gardens and is on the Ollerton Road, Arnold, Nottingham.
I have to say that when I go there I come away feeling so relaxed, it's just a lovely place to visit though it might be because I usually come away with a lovely tree too!

Now do you remember this?

Well I have been busy putting all the boxes in. Think I shall definitely need some labels though.

There doesn't seem to be a lot here this week but you can be sure that we've been busy.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.
And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW #490 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

I think this desk is almost tidy or at least there is a small area to work on at least.

This little bag was one I made last year and thought I might make something similar again or maybe use the idea for a card.

I cannot believe that the eyes are still sitting there looking at me and have not even been out of the box, that is terrible!
The dear stamp is quite an old one by Penny Black but so lovely, might use it again soon. The dies below the eyes are by Sizzix.

The card is one I am sending to a friend and the lace is something I've had a while and thought it was time I used some of it.

Two Stampotique Christmas stamps and some layered flowers made out of left-over masterboard and printed papers. I made the flowers ages ago but keep finding ideas for them.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

And yes you have seen it before here but this is a new card and a quick one too!

I took one of the pieces cut earlier to fit a 6" x 6" card blank.

And a white square card slightly smaller.
With this I die cut two sections.

As seen below.

Stamped a sentiment onto the front and die cut the focal image with shiny satin pink card.

Just in case you wondered this is the die I used.

I added some Stickles Glitter Glue to the centre of the baubles and some matching gems to complete the card.

In a way it seemed a shame to cover the Masterboard but at least you can see through the die cut shapes.

Hope you like it.

I would love to hear your comments.

I am hoping to use up the rest of this Masterboard soon.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x

Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Now what could these be!

You may have heard of Storage4crafts.
Well that's where these boxes came from.

And here we are putting it together.
The construction method is very clever and quite easy too.

And here it is complete. It probably took longer to get rid of the boxes than to put the cupboard together though I haven't put the shelves in yet. It takes 'Very Useful Boxes' if you know what they are.

I also had a lovely day out at The Stamp Magic Craft Show at Doncaster on Sunday.

Just a quick look as most of you have seen these already.

Show pics.

The Hobby Art Stand.

 Which Craft.
 Wonky Tonk Stamps

Just a couple that I thought you might like though to be honest I was enjoying myself too much to get round to many more photos.

I like it here as the room is quite big and there's plenty of light unlike some of the shows which sometimes seem a bit dull.

The rest of the week I have spent going backwards and forwards to visit parents.
Mum is doing well and starting to walk around with a frame and dad is more settled and seems to have made friends with a lady there so mum had better hurry up and get better or dad might decide he likes being in the home after all Lol!

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

WOYWW # 489 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Only actually this was Sunday when I got back from the show at The Doncaster  Dome before I put everything away.
CHAOS! I here you say.
Well you are right and it's worse than this but I'm not showing you until I get my new cupboard up and running there is stuff all over the place.

AALL stamps and stencils, so love these.

New brush pens which I've had my eye on for a while. Hobby Art and Wonky Tonk stamps. Bits and Bobs from Inkilicious and some Paper Artsy stencils too.

You can just see some Stampendous stamps and Stickles glitter glue too.

Gosh I am a bad girl and there's the NEC to come yet!

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

Crafty Cardmakers challenge 220 # Fairies or other Mythical Creatures.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Jackie is hosting today and our challenge is  to include Fairies or other Mythical creatures in your project.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to be cards, as long as it meets the challenge.

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

The background was made using a piece of watercolour paper coloured with Distress Oxides left over from making an earlier Masterboard.

Lavinia Stamps Die.

I kept the outer section, trimmed it and curved the corners.

I decided to remove some of the detail so that the stamp would show through better.
This was also by Lavinia Stamps as were the sentiments used along the outside edge.

The centre die was edged with green Oxide and everything layered over blue card and the black card blank.

I finished this with a little Stickles glitter glue in the windows and the fairy wings.
This card rather reminds me of early autumn with the fading greens and the toadstools. Maybe that's why the fairies come out at this time of the year as they have something to leap over and sit on!

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.

Friday Fun Day With Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

I still have loads of photographs from the Steampunk festival but giving you a little rest today as I have a few other photographs which might be of interest.

Last Sunday I went to Newark to a Craft Show.

I am sure you will agree this is gorgeous.

These ladies were doing a workshop and having fun.

And of course shopping too.

In the park we found this which is one of the pebbles someone has hidden.

I'm sure you'll agree, it's a dogs life Lol!

 How comfy are they!

Hope you can pick this out.
It's a little frog in the pond that I disturbed when I was clearing out some plants. Don't think he was impressed!

My outdoor Cacti have done well this year with all the lovely weather we've had.

And finally here is Maisie giving you all the look.

I just wonder what is going through her head.

So that's your lot really.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
