Make it On Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a new journal page:

I made the background with a stencil and Distress Oxides and then added the fish stamp.
The circling fish are part of the Altenew stamp set and the turtle and clown fish are from the die set.
They look fiddly to make but the way the dies are arranged in the packaging gives clear instuctions of what to cut and how to build up the image.
This is probably one of the simplest die sets I've used considering the details.

The other black fish are a stencil by Funky Fossil and the background a stencil by The Crafters Workshop which I layered in different positions to get the depth to the sea.
I found some vellum and stamped a sentiment on it and added it to the design.
It's nice as it's translucent so doesn't block out any of the detail.

I finished the design with some Stickles Glitter Glue but then you might well have expected that Lol!

Just a quick close up and then I've done.

Hope you like it.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

WOYWW - 891 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit
Sarah's Craft Shed and our host Sarah will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

I'm still trying to sort the cabin despite the weather and took loads to the Craft club on Saturday, pleased to say that I came home with empty boxes.

However, I'm working on a new journal page.

But that's as far as I got as I had to get ready for the Craft Club where we made some Twist and Pop Up cards and I've not got back to the journal page yet.

This was the front of one of the cards.

And the inside.

I have lots more but I thought this was enough for today.
I will probably put a few more in my friday post but the Monday post has more details about this card.

So that's me done for today and yes I am getting a bit obsessed with the sea right now.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and visit the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

and
happy crafting,

Make it on Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made this weekend at the Craft Club:

This week it's a Twist and Pop Up Card using Clarity papers.

The front was made with a variety of stamps and dies.
I used a couple of the Clarity papers to die cut the sea effect and then gradually layered it up.

The stamps are by Altenew and I can't wait to play with the other things in the set.

The gorgeous circling fish in the background just bring it to life.
I finished it with Jelly Fish stickers.

This style of card stands up really well.

And opens like this...

Altenew stamps again and coloured fish stickers.
Finished with a little Stickles Glitter glue which always makes the details stand out.

When ever I make something like this I end up with pieces of card and paper that I just can't throw away but we have to do something with them Right!

So I've cut these into strips and arranged them diagonally on a sheet of A4 card but you will have to wait to see how I use that because I'm not sure myself yet.

If you like the Twist and Pop Up card there are lots of ideas on Pinterest.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

You may remember that I showed this a couple of weeks ago and meant to make some cards with it until I got distracted so I apologise for these being later than expected.

This was made with layering stamps and dies by Altenew and Tim Holtz distress Oxides.

I've used the black and white Masterboard for the background; layered with red card.
I applied some black Stickles glitter glue and left it to dry before adding a strip of the red card down the center and layered this with a piece of the red Masterboard.

To complete the design I've added gold Stickeles glitter glue to the diecut flowers and attached gold cord before attaching the flowers to the card.

And a sentiment and gold snowflakes.
A few small embellishements can make all the difference.

Hope you like it.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday - Use it or Lose it.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

Yes I am back with my own stuff!

You may remember this from some time ago (here and here) but there's always that bit that's left over and you just can't throw it away so now's the time to use it up so here goes.

Snip a bit here and snip a bit there!

And before you know it half a card started!
I'm sure you've seen these recently, they are called Triple Point Cards or Crossover Point Card.
I made this using a 6" x 6" card blank.
There are lots of instructions for these on line if you're interested in making one though it's probably obvious from this photograph how it's done.

To complete this card I've added a die cut Poinsettia cut from the Masterboard, stamped sentiments, die cut snowflakes, some metallic cord and Stickles Glitter glue.

I attached some of the snowflakes inside the card so that they could be seen when the card is closed.

Hope you like this card as much as I enjoyed making it.
If you did you might want to pop back next Monday when I will be using this up too.
Same Altenew stamp but this time in red.

But that's for another day.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday Use It or Lose It.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

And yes you have seen this before here: but you never want to waste a Masterboard so more ideas today.

And a different way to add the images.
I started by cutting a section from the Masterboard and a piece of purple layering card.
I've used an Altenew (Kind Confetti) stamp to create the splatter effect then added some Stickles Glitter Glue and a few adhesive gems.

This flower stamp set new to my collection is by Altenew and is called Torch Ginger and it's a Layering stamp. To layer this I've used several of my Oxide ink pads.

Same idea just a darker colour range.
The sentiments are also by Altenew.

No leaves on these two as I just liked them as they were but you could add the leaves if you wish.

Because I attached this to show at the back of the card I find it's best to attach it flat and when you are sure it's really stuck down score down the center again and then fold and use a Bone Folder to ensure the crease is nice and flat. I like to place a piece of plastic over the card before doing this to prevent any marks appearing.

Hope you like those.
I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x
I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Masterboard Monday. Use it or Lose it.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a couple of cards made with this Masterboard:

Sometimes I'm just not sure where I want to go with a stamp and the best thing is to just play and that's what I did here.
Now a Masterboard can be full of detail and need nothing else or it can be just the start.
The stamp used here is by Altenew and is called Torch Ginger, a very pretty flower.

So I decided to make two cards to start it off.

Some die cutting to get the ball rolling.

Colouring and the addition of some Stickles glitter Glue.

And these were the results.
Just the addition of some coloured cards, sentiments and gems completed the designs.

I also added one of the Altenew Debossing die - Dotted Swirls as the white section just looked too plain and needed something.

A close-up so that you can see the detail better.

Hope you enjoyed looking as much as I enjoyed making these cards.

I would love to hear your comments.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge - 257 Butterflies.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Monika is hosting today and our challenge is Butterflies.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to be cards, as long as it meets the challenge.

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

I made this card using some left-over Masterboard.
The Masterboard stamps are 'Half Tone Squares' and the die at the center is called 'Leaf Medallion' both are by Altenew.
The butterfly stamp and die and the birthday sentiment words are by Tim Holtz.

I layered the butterfly to give more depth. One piece is card and the other is Vellum.
The back piece was coloured with Promarkers using colours to match those used on the main part of the card and the Vellum was partly coloured with Stickles Gitter Glue again with matching colours.

I have made other cards using this Masterboard which you can find here and here.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.

This is my actual desk at the moment.

Look at these goodies!

Brand new, only just become available at the Craft Stash and only £12.99 for all this!

The magazine is full of ideas and gorgeous papers too.

I'm not normally a lover of printed magazine images but sure I can find some use for them.

That's me done for today cos I need to go and play with my new goodies but first I need to get round and see what everyone else has been up to.

Oh and I've found some old Masterboards too so I'll be busy making some cards with those for the anniversary.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.
