WOYWW - 866 - What's On your workdesk Wednesdasy.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit
Sarah's Craft Shed and our host Sarah will explain.

So here is my desk for today! Though it has not changed since the weekend.

Sorry Mary Anne no journal page today though I have included instructions on Monday for the bauble page which can be found here
I have a few things to get out of the way before getting back to the journal.

You may think Christmas is over but here we have yet  more Christmas card production.
The Exploding box looks tidy though!

It's always about now that I like to make a few
C. Cards ready for next Christmas and it's easier at this time of the year when I can still feel that Christmas vibe.

Sorry about the light shining on the plastic.

Tim Holtz Christmas trees and Snowflakes (they are around somewhere), Stampendous circular shape and an embossing folder though not sure what make that is. Finished with a sentiment and Stickles Glitter Glue and they are now waiting to be mounted.

The round thing in the box towards the rear left is a role of Christmas ribbon that I have a plan for.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to but please excuse me if I don't get to you by the evening, I will get to you.
Have a great woyww

and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with one of these Masterboards, yes I've made three:

A4 Masterboards this week so quicker to make but just as useful.

I have taken one of these and stencilled the back too.

'Lavinia Stamps' Stencils and 'Tim Holtz' Oxide inks.

Finished this off by making a Tuxedo Card.

You may be able to see that I added a little more stamping to the outside with one of Tim Holtz stamp sets 'Grunged'.
The images I've added are quite old and have been in my storage folder for some time.
I know the butterfly is a stamp and die by Tim Holtz but not sure about the moths.
The sentiments are by Tim too.

I blended distress black ink along the edges to create shadow and definition.

Hope you like it.
Just have to dercide what to do with the other two designs.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x

Masterboard Monday Use it or Lose it!

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Yes I'm back this week with the Masterboards but using up the left-overs, they have to go!
So use it or loose it!

This was stamped with a very old but much loved Tim Holtz stamp. I have actually manged to find one of the original cards I made with this in.........would you believe !!!! 2016! so yes it's time to use this up I think.
If that's not enough there are others here.
But now for the new stuff.
These two card measure 6" x 6".

I started with a white card blank and a layer of green card and topped it with a piece of the white card stamped in black.
Before attaching this I blended green Distress ink around the edge of the card then layered a piece of the green stamped card down the center and attached more pieces of the white card which had been cut with a Tim Holtz die.
I completed the card with Stickles Glitter Glue on the central dragon and the sentiment is by Lisa Horton.

Just a small piece added inside the card and a sentiment to finish the design.

As I still had some left-over more cards had to be made.

The black dragonfly die was from my stash but not sure what make it was but it could be Sheena Douglas.
I applied one of the Craft Box Crystal Souffles to the dragonfly before attaching it to the card.
The sentiment is by Hampton Arts.

As there is still a few pieces of card left I felt some small cards might be a good idea and this one measures 4" x 4".
The sentiment here is by Concord and 9th.
I hope this gives you some ideas of how to use up those left-over pieces of card and paper but fear not I have lots more ideas to come, as you know since this piece arrived in 2016 there have been plenty more since!

I would love to hear your comments and many thanks for stopping by.

Happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

You may remember this from a couple of weeks ago and I'm just using up the last pieces to make these cards.

I have had so much fun playing around with these Tim Holtz cat stamps and some of his dies too. The cats were coloured with Zig watercolour brushes.

You'll notice I'm sure that this is not the cat that comes with the dies but I'm also sure that Tim wont mind. The fairy lights are by Stampotique and I've finished it with Stickles Glitter Glue on the lights.

I think these two are racing to see who can be first home to open their presents but what do you think.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

You may remember this from last week and the card below.

I am still working with this paper to show you a different card this week, well two actually.

The style is very similar just different colours and this week he is definitely sliding down on his gift box Lol!

No wonder his eyes are so wide!
These are the Christmas set of the Snarky Cat stamps by Tim Holtz.

I've stamped towards the back of the card again as usual. I just feel that this finishes the design off rather than a sudden stop at the fold.

And here they are once again.

Will I use this Masterboard again next week? You will just have to pop back and see.

In case you were wondering the background was stamped with this Stampotique stamp which is part of this set and the branches are Tim Holtz dies by Sizzix, everything was completed using Stickles Glitter Glue.

Hope you like the cards.
I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

WOYWW-597 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

The white Masterboard background paper was stamped with an old Stampotique stamp

which you can see just to the right. The punch is one I've been using with the Baby Journals which are more or less finished now.

I completed the card with some Tim Holtz dies and Stickles glitter glue. I think he looks as though he's sliding along the snow.

The dies and stamps are here just on the left.

Stickles Glitter glue and a 3D die/embossing folder but not used it yet.

I do like this card and think I might have to make some more with the other stamped images so watch this space.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

So here is my desk for today!

I have to apologise today as it's difficult to see what's going on. It's a bit bright on the desk but don't worry as I've done some close ups too.

On the left are a couple of clear folders which hold the remains of the papers from the baby journals and at the side of those are some stamps I've used too.

I've been working on the girl journal this week and these are a few of the left over papers.

On the right are some packs of Hobby Art ZIG Watercolour Brush pens by Kuretake, really like these.
The ribbons are what I've been using in the girl journal.

A couple of Pics for you.

The papers are by Trimcraft, same as the boys ones.

And finally these are why I have the brush pens out as I've been colouring these.
I'm sure you will know the stamps are by Tim Holtz.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge - 266: Things that go Bump in the Night.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers.

Kim is hosting today and our challenge is -'Things that go Bump in the Night'.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to be cards as long as it meets the challenge.

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

Front

And here we have it a rather spooky midnight scene, even the pumpkins look worried.

Back
If you'd like to see how I made this then read on and if not maybe you'd like to pop over to the challenge.

Masterboards first of course.
This was just a piece I'd played around with earlier when making another piece. When making a Masterboard if there's spare ink around be it on the mat or needing to be removed from the project I always use another sheet of card, nothing goes to waste here.

More ink added until....

You're happy with the colour and then start to add the detail. Tim Holtz cobwebs first.

Several more Tim Holtz stamped images and then used the Karen Burniston Album, Accordion Flip 3D. (This is the older Bigz die by Sizzix and I believe they now do a thinlits one too.)
You simply cut as many of these sections as you wish and then join them together.

Stamped and coloured the Tim Holtz Pumpkins and fussy cut them out.

I added the pumkins, die cut cobwebs, owl, insects. broom, moon and bats.

I couldn't resist adding some extras to the back.

I hope you will
pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.

Happy crafting.
Angela xXx
