Make it On Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you an old card and a new one:

I made this ages ago and then put the stamps away and forgot about them and what do you know it's here again!
The cake stamp is by Honey Doo Crafts.

I've used a Stampendous 'Streamers' for the background and added some Stickles glitter glue. I stamped this with first and second generation ink to give a faded look. I like this as it gives depth to the background.
The cake was stamped twise, once with yellow card and once with multi coloured card.
Next I cut out the icing and added it to the second stamped image. Cut it out and position it on the background design.
Finish with a sentiment and Stickles glitter glue to the spots.
A small amount of watercolour pencil at the bottom of the cake helps to ground it.

If that's not enough I had a play with the cake colour using my Photo editing program.
What fun is that and you can make it any colour you like.

Hope you like it.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Make it on Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a very old card!

I've been busy this week sorting out the cabin and found this card I had long forgotten about.

The stamps are by Stampotique and the die cut edge by Tim Holtz.
Maybe you can see there's someone waiting to come through the door..........

And here he is!

The faces are attached with thin strips of Acetate which is attached before the front layer of card is added.
I have always liked making cards that have some kind of movement (Kinetics) and this is a great way to do it and easy too.

And I finished with a stamp for the inside too but pale enough to write you sentiment on it.

I have always liked Stampotique stamps, they are very quirky and Gothic in style and quite different from anything else.

Hope you enjoyed looking at this card.
I must use some of these techniques again soon.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

WOYWW - 887 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit
Sarah's Craft Shed and our host Sarah will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

Well a bit different from usual.

This was the Craft Club on Saturday, it's not often you see punches on my desk but I got them out specially for a project one of the ladies wanted to do and of course coffee at the ready.

We made the card above first. Not really my sort of thing but I try to support the members when they are taking the class.

Then we moved onto the next one.

We were given a stencil for this one then I cut out lots of 1" squares which were placed through the stencil, once happy with the positioning you attach them in position.

Remove the stencil and snip off the waste pieces along the edges.

Finish it off by adding a sentiment and embellishments.

I think I could have fun with this style of card.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and visit the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

and
happy crafting,

Make it on Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card I've made based on this journal page:

I wonder if you remember this?
The mountains, clouds and some of the trees were drawn by me and the rest was added using stamps.

I liked it so much that I decided to draw another set of mountains but smaller. This is about 5" x 7".

I used the same stamps to complete the design and then decided it was a bit bigger than I wanted it to be so used Picasa (photo editing program)to size it down.

The card blank is 5" x 7" and the design was reduced to fit it.

I added Stickles glitter glue and mounted the picture onto two shades of blue card before adding it to the card blank and a birthday sentiment.
This is a birthday card and I know you may think it would make a good Christmas card and the design may well appear like that at some time in the future but this is a birthday card for a friend who lives in the French Alps.
I know he'll love this.

And I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

So here is my desk for today!

The exploding boxes are busy and there's a pile of stuff on the left too just waiting to be used but I've been busy making some quick birthday cards so everything else had to wait.
You may notice the waterbrushes at the back which are also waiting to be used but I have a plan for them.

And here are a few samples.
All you need is a 6x6 card blank, double sided patterned paper, stamps of your choice, stickles glitter glue and coloured gems.

I did make another card using the cloud Masterboard which you can see here if you would like to see it.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.

Masterboard Monday Use it or Lose it.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

I have already used part of this one and had a small piece left-over from the earlier project so thought I'd try a new embossing folder on it by Spellbinders to add extra detail.
This was only meant to be a test piece but it worked so well that I decided to make it into a card.

I rubbed over the embossing with a file to remove the colour and show up the detail then layer it up with matching colours.

It's not easy to see it but the birds were covered in Stickles Glitter glue to help them stand out.

And a little detail for the inside.
The birds are from a set by Oakwood (Sunshine and Showers) and the sentiments by UNIKO.

I love being able to use up the leftovers and there's always a way.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

WOYWW - 766 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

I have tidied up a bit to make some space so not much going on at the moment.
The journal book on the desk is what I've used to mount the collages in, the dies on the right are what I'm using to make my Valentine's card....maybe but we'll see.
The pile of dies on the left were in the exploding box but I'm trying to tidy that up too. I need to know where stuff is and it's got a bit silly recently.

It is a bit better but still more to sort out yet.

If you had been here earlier in the week you might have seen me playing with these sheets of card as I'm making some more collage papers.

I do like making a mess Lol!

As there's not a lot going on today I'm showing you this which is actually part of my Monday post and if you like it there are more samples and details here:

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.

So here is my desk for today!

Looks nearly tidy but you can't see the exploding box at this angle.
 Hee! Hee!

Yes it's full again and I'm working on some more Retiform cards.

The little brown book holds all the birthday dates and the inks are what I'm using for these new projects. Can you see the blending tool at the back I managed to get some of the new domed sponges which are much better than the flat ones.

A couple of cards using the Retiform technique and a piece of card half started.

This is a small piece of Retiform Masterboard waiting to be cut up.

And this was Monday's card if you missed it there are instructions for making it here.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

If you think you've seen it before you'd be right, here and here.
This is a Retiform technique using AALL and Create stamps.

The goodies just keep coming.

I've also used one of the new stencils to decorate the background card to layer the design onto ans a small piece of Washi tape too.

I have always loved things that move so for this card I've added a tag with a brad so it can move around.

It's also useful if you want to hide a sentiment under the tag. What fun is that!

Now I still have lots of bits and pieces left over but I'm sure I'll find some use for those soon.

You might like to see the inside of this card and the envelope too. Just a finishing touch.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Use it or lose it.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with some stamped images by Imagination Crafts:

These are yet more gorgeous stamped images that I coloured ages ago and then never used them.

Not sure how clear this is but I glazed the surface after colouring the flowers.

I so love these designs.

And here is a very simple way to complete a card.
With this beautiful design I feel it's better to add a fairly simple background so I chose this paper as it contains similar colours to the stamp.

I think it works but what do you think.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

All made with left over bits from an earlier project.

Waste not Want not as they say.
I apologise if you've already seen it as I posted it on Monday here.
So that's me done for today.

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
I am here to show you a card made with this Masterboard.

Not what I would normally think of as a Masterboard but several sheets of card that have been brayered with paint so they are the basis of what I will use to make this card.

I had been watching Tracy Evans playing with this stamp and decided I quite liked it despite having told myself I didn't need it!
Oh well!

Anyway here it is and I've stamped it onto several of the brayered sections so that I have lots to play with.

I can now make my mind up as I go along what to use.

Stamped on some old book pages.

And from there I started to put the card together. Ripped some of the book page and attached it.

The spotlighted circle is from one of the other stamped pieces and I've also cut out the body sections of the beetles and glazed them before attaching them. Spotlighting is one of Tracy's favourite things to do.

Looks okay but we're not there yet.

I've used one of the splashy stamps to add more interest, stamping it several times without reloading with ink and a sentiment stamp along the bottom.

Here we are all finished.
I decided to mount it on to a cream card blank to match the old book pages so edged it first with green distress ink.
And to complete the design I've added several enamel dots.

You can just about see here that I've added some of the beetles to the inside too.

I do have several pieces left so I'll be back soon to show you how I used them up.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,
