Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

If you were around last week you may have seen this before.

If you didn't the information for making it can be found here:

The next part was to make the balloon dogs that I planned to use for the decoration of the card.

This is a stamp by Kate Crane which I then heat embossed which gives a good black line when the colour is added.
Used Tim Holtz watercolour pencils to colour and finished with Stickles Glitter glue on the eyes.

And so to putting it all together.
I've cut out a piece of the cloud card and edged it with blue ink but you could layer it onto blue card too.

Not sure how clear this is but I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of clear Vellum and folded it round the design.
Next I added the gold cord to the balloon dogs before attaching them to the cloud design and then to the card blank.

I couldn't resist adding another dog to the inside and a nice sentiment.

I had splattered the clouds with white paint but just felt it needed something else so added a few sequins too.
And that's all for now.

Hope you like it, I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday reviews of 2025.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here again to show you some projects from last year.
I like to review my projects before getting started with the New Year projects.
Oh! and a little rest after Christmas. I think it's good to relax and put the Crafting on hold for a while and come back to it refreshed, hopefully with some new ideas.

Love making these Masterboards and not done them for a while. These are a technique called Retiform.

I cut them up with a grid die and then attached them back into place just adding a sentiment and images.

Details here:

I would love to hear your comments.

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

This will be the last cloud card for a while but I can't promise!

This is a Kinetic card today.

I've used a 6" x 6" card blank, Holographic base card and diecut clouds over the masterboard.
I embossed the sides of the cloud card.
The inks are all Tim Holtz Distress Oxides.

Kate Crane Balloon dog and finished with Stickles Glitter Glue and gems.
The sentiment is by Uniko Stamps.

I would love to hear your comments.

Make it on Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with cloud dies.
I've named this post differently today as this is more of a background than a Masterboard.

You might have guessed what I've been doing here!
If you're fed up of seeing clouds then I'm sorry but there's more here today.
No stencils though, cloud dies this time and started by cutting out several strips.
If you're interested Lawn Fawn do a nice cloud die set though this one was by a company called Sunny Studio.

I coloured them with Distress Oxide Inks and then had a play around at positioning them.

This is a slightly different arrangement from above but you can photograph the layout you like best and then use that to position and glue them down.

I coloured the top of a piece of card with ink and then arranged the clouds starting at the top, glueing them down each time.
I did add a little more ink at the bottom to finish it off.

I have made two of these as the first one was too thick when the clouds were layered up, so your choice of card for the clouds needs to be quite thin or it's difficult to trim and tidy up the edges.

And this is where I ended up.

Stickles Glitter Glue dabbed on, Kate Crane Balloon dogs and a simple sentiment and the cards complete.
I left the clouds slightly open at the top edges so that I could fit the balloon dogs in some of them.

Hope you like it.

I would love to hear your comments.

Masterboard Monday

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with one of these Masterboards:

I know you've seen lots of these by now but I'm still enjoying making them.

And something different today to add to them.
Kate Crane's balloon dogs, stamped, coloured and fussy cut.

Before adding them I layered up the background with coloured card and a piece of the cloud masterboard. Before attaching these to the card blank I cut three strips of accetate and attached them behind the card and a stamped strip of Velum too and attached the ends under the card.

Here you can see the stamps I used for the sentiments and the Balloon dog stamp.

And here they are attached to the acetate strips.
I did add some Stickles Glitter Glue to the clouds but it's difficult to see it here.

You can see here how the dogs stand out.

Hope you like it.
I would love to hear your comments.

Masterboard Monday Collage Grids.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with one of these Masterboard Collage Grids:

And yes you will remember seeing these before here:

I have been busy over the weekend so little time for a new Masterboard which is why I like the grids so much.
When you need a quick card just cut one of the grids out and you have a half made card.

The sentiment is 'Art by Marlene' the image by Kate Crane and the cord from my stash.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

WOYWW - 832 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit
Sarah's Craft Shed and our host Sarah will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

Hi all, new stuff from Art by Marlene on the left, love it.

In the centre here are my ATBMs (Artist Trading Book Marks) for our 16th Anniversary.
Thought I'd do these for a change and made lots when we thought we were having the Crop so if you would like to swap there are plenty to go on.

These were all made with a couple of my Masterboards.

On the right I'm playing with some Kate Crane stamps, just love them.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday Use it or Lose it.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:
Well! another one actually.

If you remember last week's Masterboard design then you will recognise the background to this card.
This is a small left over piece that I've cut up using a AALL and Create die.
The bird and the sentiment are by Kate Crane.

A feaw blobs of Stickles Glitter glue to finish it off and we're all done.
Hope you like it.

I would love to hear your comments.

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with these Masterboards:

Many of you will recognise these.
The original one was stencilled and can be found here: and here: with some of my favourite samples which was made by scanning the original and altering the colours on Picasa.

This style of card can be done in a couple of ways either stamping the design in a similar way to the Retiform technique or as I've done here by cutting the sections from decorative card and applying them to a background piece.
Once the pieces were in place I added strips of ribbon but this could be strips of card too.

This will be an anniversary card so added a heart design for the main image and a sentiment. These were freebies from a magazine and the die for the heart was Spellbinders.

Couldn't resist adding some of Kate Crane's lovely fish.

And some Stickles Glitter glue though it's not so easy to see it here.

A sentiment for the inside by Altenew.

And it's all done and ready to go.

This style of card is often called Fractured or Fragmented if you are looking for other ideas.

I would love to hear your comments.

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with these Masterboard:

Yes there are some left-overs!
If you've been over to mine before you may well remember these papers I made some time ago.
The top one is the original and the others are the results of scanning and colour changes using Picassa a photo editing program.

I decided to use up some of the left over bits from an earlier project as I find it very difficult to throw them away.

And here is the card.

And to make it.........

1.Take a piece of card 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" and then cut the squares at 1 3/4" x 1 3/4" which will fit onto the card leaving a small narrow gap between each one.

The fish are by Kate Crane coloured using Tim Holts Watercolour Pencils and the plant is a Beachcomber die by Mark maker.
I finished the design with a sentiment stamp by Creafter's Companion - 'Enchanted Ocean' and some Stickles Glitter Glue.

I think it turned out okay but what do you think?

I would love to hear your comments.

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you how I made some collage papers for my Masterboard Grids:

I thought it might be fun to play with black and white for a change and used a Kate Crane stencil.

Gradually building up the grids using the collage papers.

Cutting, ripping and gluing onto the drawn grid squares.

Next added some stencilled Vellum and using an AALL and Create stencil added Stamperia Volume paste covering all four grids.

I cut out one of the grids and layered it with black and red card then attached this to the white card blank.

The sentiment is by Tim Holtz.

And that's your lot!
I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

A Retiform Masterboard this week, I've not used this technique for a while so thought it was time for it to show it's face again.
I made this on A3 card with lots of Lavinia stencils and Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks.

I like to use sticky notes to mask off the lines as I add the inked edges.

This is just the beginning.
I like to start in one direction going up and down and then left to right, to create the pattern.

From there I added the stencil designs.

My tip for this would be to use one stencil at a time and move the design around so that you will finish with a good arrangement and not getting the same design too close together.

I'm showing you a close up here which gives a better view of how I arrange the stencils. I like to turn the card occasionally which also makes the design more interesting.

And here's the finished card.

The dies are AALL and Create, the fish are Kate Crane, sentiment by Spellbinders and the crab is by Studio Light.
I finished this off with Stickles glitter glue and added Glossy accents to the body of the crab.

Hope you like it.
I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x
