Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

It was the end of June so it was also time for the Craft Club again.

We're just setting up here.....

and these are the cards I made. There is information about these on my Monday post if you are interested.

The weather has been a bit cooler so we were able to take the dogs for a walk which was nice.

And of course it was rest time when we got back.

Do you think Alfie is comfy there?

Daisy too.

This is the large filter box which cleans the water that is pumped into it from the pond and back in again. When we were cleaning the sponges we saw this guy....

then I realised he had a friend. 

They both hopped out when the sponges were removed for cleaning but by the time the job was finished they were back in there again. 

They may be small but they can certainly jump.

They obviously like it here.

I picked some carrots on Wednesday and I thought you'd like these two.

Hubby says they just needs a face.

They both made me smile.

The rest of this week has been reasonably quiet, just taken Daisy to the vet for her annual check up, all's well.

Apart from that I'm still sorting some stuff out in the cabin.

Friday Fun Day with Smiles

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

I had a surprise last week when I had a phone call from the Care Home where my mother used to be to say they had found here wedding ring.

She lost it in the Care Home in 2023 but I'm not fully clear why it has taken so long for them to realise they had it. My mother died a year after she lost the ring but at least I now have it back.

The weather has been quite nice here this week and the flowers are all enjoying the warm weather.

This rose was already here when we moved in the house so it's got to be quite old but still has the most gorgeous flowers and a beautiful sweet smell too.

The colour is amazing.

More beautiful flowers surrounding the garden.

They are doing really well.

I wonder if you know what those small things are above.

Don't worry I'll tell you when you get to the bottom of this post.

I showed you the inside of this Guest House last week and today we're walking round the garden.

The lady who ownes this has collected so many interesting things.

The garden is a lovely place to sit when the weather is nice.

And there's plenty to see.

The owner made us a lovely cup of tea with some nice biscuits.

People staying here are able to help themselves to these all day if they wish.

Round the side of the house there is even more to see.

That is one large cockerel.

The monkey is here to keep you company.

I'm busy sorting my craft cabin and if I manage to escape I'll see you all next week.

(By the way: The small round objects on the tree are baby grapes, fingers crossed they develop into something good).

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

My dear friend came to see us this week and we called in the Guest House where she was staying.

These old Victorian houses look like nothing from the outside but just wait till you see the inside.

They do tend to be long and narrow.

It's well set up for visitors.

The bedrooms are charming.

It is brilliantly clean and not a bit of dust in sight.

So many lovely things to see. None of the modern boring stuff.

These lights are just my sort of thing.

The garden is just as interesting but I'll show you that next week.

If you get the chance to visit Lincoln this would be a lovely place to stay and you can walk into the City from here too though it's not the Uphill part.

Afterwards we went to our's for lunch and my friend gave me these beautiful flowers.

It may be a while until we see her again as she's off back to France now.

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

   Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Hubby's away this week and he sent me a photo of his evening meal that he had the other day.

It looks a bit strange to me but he said it was really good. The meat is lamb and the odd looking thing is cabbage.....

Our garden continues to give lots of pleasure.

Flowers are such an amazing thing.

And so does the park. 

It's a long time since these two had so many Cygnets if ever. That's a big family.

They are doing really well all eight of them.

This duck was quite disgusted with me as I had nothing to give him/her so trotted off.

This is one of the streams that run through the park.

The bushes surrounding it are ready for a trim I think. 

Lincoln is very low, where we live it's about nine metres above sea level so it's very important that the water is looked after to prevent flooding.

 

On Saturday was the Craft Club, always a great day.

And later that day, off to my cousin to deliver some craft stuff for the Girl Guides that she looks after.

This is a small part of their very large garden where she grows her vegetables.

And here well I don't need to explain what we were going to do here!

For the rest of the week I've been in the cabin busy sorting out more stuff for her and trying to make some room on my desk.

Quite busy this week, walking dogs, visiting the Garden centre, working on the baby journal, joining in the felting group.......it just goes on.

My garden's looking lovely.

Beautiful flowers.

And I have a new friend.

These flowers are just so beautiful too.

I saw these fungi in the park but not sure what they are  called.

But even better......

The swans in the park....

Had a surprise for us this week,

Eight babies now that was a surprise.

And this guy appeared while I was watching the swans too. Yes it's a rat.

And a squirrel.

I guess that's enough for this week so I'll finish with a few funnies.
