WOYWW 343 # What's On Your Wordesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

I know this may come as a shock but I have had a tidy up!!!!!
Not sure it looks much different though but I have a bit more space to work now.

I'm working on two things at the same time today, a tag and a new Masterboard.
This is where I am up to at the moment having added three different pastes through three different stencils.

I will this on my Monday Masterboard post when it's complete and the tag should be finished by the weekend.

So that's all I have for you today but it was nice and quick just how we like them.

The next time we do this again it will be a New Year and I would like to take this chance to thank all those who have visited me this year.
I still have a little way to go but hope by this time next year to reach the 100 members on my blog so got my fingers crossed there.

So here is wishing you a Happy,
Healthy
and
Crafty New Year.

Big hugs

Angela xXx

Masterboard Monday

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

This is one of the Masterboards you might have seen me making and using.

I wanted to have a play around with Picasa so thought I would use one of my Masterboards so copied it first and here's what I've done so far.

Using Picasa 3 to alter the original you can see some of the changes I made.

To the colour:

Similar but more blue which makes the baubles stand out more.

or completely different colours.

But it is also possible to Sharpen the images too as I have done here as well as changing the colour.

Hope this shows you how one simple design can be used again and again.
Just altering the colour can give you hundreds of variations to use in your projects but there are other image manipulation methods which give great effects too.

If you like this I will be back with more ideas next week when I have had time to play again.

Happy crafting,

Angela x

Friday Christmas Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hope you are all happy, most of you will probably be too busy on Friday to look at this so I am posting it early.

Just in case you get the chance... Maisie and Stan are here to wish you...

   Merry Christmas
and a
Happy New Year.

However..... there did seem to be some discussion going on.

"Maisie  what's this all about?"
"Don't ask me Stan it's got nothing to do with me"

"Well that's me done, I'm off!"

I don't think Stan liked getting dressed up, what do you think?
Still it made me smile.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" on Friday and you can also share your smiles too if you like.

Thanks for stopping by,

WOYWW 342 # What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

Before I show you my desk I am showing you this as promised. I tempted you with it a couple of weeks ago. If you would like to see how it was made the link is here.

And my desk today........

Sorry everyone still a mess though I am working on it and hope that when you stop by next week there will be more space available to work on.

I have just about packed away all the Christmas stuff and though I don't really have time I have started some new pages in one of my journals.

The black folder you can see towards the front holds my Dylusions stamps.

These are some of the stamps I will be using.
So cross your fingers and there may be some pages completed next week (maybe!).

Other than that you may have also noticed:
A circle of cogs die cut which is a sample I tried out on some scrap paper.
A new embroidery ring die tucked at the back.
In the tub on the right hand side is the wrapper from a new Christmas Tim Holtz Shadow Press.
Other than those everything is about the same.

So that's it!
Now off you go to look what everyone else is up to.
Thank you for stopping by.

Have a great woyww, a very Merry Christmas
and
Happy Crafty New Year.

That Craft Place Challenge.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

And here is my new design for :
That Craft Place Challenge Blog.

As usual this fortnight's theme is:
Mixed Media Anything Goes!
So lets see what you can come up with!

But before you start here is the piece I made.

I had two oval pieces of MDF from That Craft Place and have been trying to decide how to use them.

Now I did have a play around with them, like you do Lol!
I had an idea in mind but was just not sure about how I wanted to move forward with this one so:

I turned them this way....

And I turned them this way.....

And again...

Until I found a way that I liked them.

And this is where it took me!

I started by painting the back and edges with black paint and then attaching some spotty paper by DoCrafts to the front (available at
That Craft Place here and here).

I lay the paper on, smooth it down and when it's well attached I sand along the top sides which leaves a nice clean edge.

Next I used a snowflake stencil and Weathered Wood Distress Ink and then the same stencil with silver embossing paste. When all this was completely dry I rubbed over it with more distress ink this time Chipped Sapphire.

Next job was to die cut the snowflakes.
I cut some of these in more of the spotty card and some in a satin card.

And we are ready for the construction.
I used my Dremel multi tool to make holes in the MDF and then threaded in a nice stripy ribbon.
Mounted the large snowflakes together and finished them with a shiny embellishment.

Now everything is ready to put together.

Quite a grungy Christmas decoration especially as I decided there wasn't enough snow this year so I used the new Tim Holtz splatter brush to add some white paint to give the effect.

I hope you enjoyed watching me make this and it would be great if you could leave me a comment and then pop over and see what the other DT members have been making and maybe join in the challenge too at:

Many thanks for your comments
and
happy crafting,
Angela x

I would like to enter this project in the following challenges:

Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hope you are all happy this Friday.

I showed you some photos of my dogs last week which you all seemed to enjoy so I have found you some more.

My girl dog in some of her favourite positions.

Sleeping here.... absolute comfort!

And again here with big dog...

Oh and here!
You may notice that Maisie's cushion looks a bit messy and there is a reason for that.... Stan likes to ruffle it up a bit well actually it often ends up in various parts of the sitting room and poor Maisie isn't very good at straightening it as you can see but is determind to get on it somehow!

She is obviously saving herself for the next walk Lol!

But then Stan is not much better...

It's a dogs life or so they say!

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too if you like.

Thanks for stopping by,

WOYWW # 341 What's On Your Workdesk Wednedsay.

I have moved on this week from making Christmas cards to birthday cards.
It should not be allowed for people to have birthdays so close to Christmas do they not realise how busy we are Lol!
This has caused my space to become even smaller but I hope by next week that you will see a cleared desk and I repeat Hope!

  • I have a card on the desk waiting to be completed.
  • A new journal again in waiting.
  • Bits of left over from making Christmas decorations.
  • A nice star die by Sizzix.
  • Lots of Christmas stamps in the same box waiting to be put away and on the other side various bits of card and paper Oh! and some brown paper bags which I will decorate for Christmas and birthday presents.
  • The rest is just the usual.

 So that's it!

Now off you go and have a look at what everyone else is up to.
Thank you for stopping by.

Have a great woyww,
happy crafting and P.S. not long till Christmas now!

Mastrboard Monday

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Another Christmas Card today using the last of this Masterboard that Gloria sent me.

Just a reminder, this is the Masterboard.

I started by folding the front of the card back on itself ready to add the flap.

  • The card is simple to make, all you need to do is cut a square of the Masterboard to fit inside which I layered with a square of silver card.
  • Then after edging with purple ink, attach the rectangular piece of the Masterboard to the front fold.
  • Layer a square of the Masterboard with silver card and then with white card and attached to the front flap.
  • Finish with a die-cut sentiment, glaze the Christmas Bauble, add gems and glitter glue. I have added some detail to the envelope too but that's your choice obviously.
This makes a nice flat card suitable for posting.

Hope you enjoyed looking.

Happy crafting,

Christmas Card Ideas.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi everyone, here today to show you a small gift I've been making for a friend.

I started with some craft card and two different sets of dies one by Sizzix and one by Once Upon A Stamp.

Next I prepared the pages by die cutting five pieces of card for each die.
And using the new Graphics 45 Christmas papers 'A Christmas Carol' I cut out various designs to fit onto them.
If you like Graphics 45 papers they are available at That Craft Place.

Then edged the craft card with distress inks before attaching the patterned papers.

And here you can see the finished concertina card I've made.
I have added a variety of embellishments too.

Front.

Back.

Closed and fastened.

That's it really, hope you enjoyed looking.

Take care and I will be popping over to see anyone who leaves me a comment.

Happy crafting,

Angela x

Friday Fun Day

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hope you are all happy this Friday.
I wasn't sure I would have anything for you today but when going through some old photos I found these.

This is my boy dog Stanley and typically like most boys he is unable to keep himself tidy. No matter what he wears it always ends up half on and half off.

Now this is my girl dog, Maisie.

Her jacket is always neat and tidy.
They are so different but I love them both but then who wouldn't.
They always make me smile and hope they make you smile too.

So that is my fun day for this week.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too if you like.

Thanks for stopping by.

Have a great Friday,

WOYWW 340 # What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday.

As you can see the space continues to get even smaller by the day!
The angle of this photograph doesn't help either.

I am busy here working on something?
Sorry I really can't say but it will be finished this week.

You can see my dremel multi tool been using it to drill holes, love it.
Various bits of Christmas stuff, glitter, dies, a bag of bells, rolls of ribbon.
To the right and left, all Christmas stuff, stamps and stencils most of which have sat there unused this year but I like to get them out just in case, you never know otherwise the usual that never gets put away but is used more often.

    So that's it!
Now off you go to look what everyone else is up to.
Thank you for stopping by.

Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Angela x
