Angela here to show you "What's on my work desk this Wednesday"(WOYWW).

Anyway here is the finished Alice journal page, hope you like it my friends.

This was my desk on Monday morning.

No change there I hear you say Lol!

 

 

But if you look today this is what you would see.

So many of you asked to see this so it seemed only fair to post it on a Wednesday and here it is.

I started by colouring in the stamped images and attaching them to the page and added shadow for depth.

 

 

I finished the glue lines with a little gilding wax, crackle glaze on the flowers and stickles glue on the toadstools.

 

 

Just so the Hatter and Alice know when it's time for tea, I added the clock.

The sentiment on this page is a 'Deep Red' rubber stamp and the one above which is not so clear here is Stampotique.

WOYWW 255. What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Hi Blogbuddies another week on my desk and desks throughout the world, brought to you by our host Julia at the Stamping Ground.

And this is my desk today.

 

Mmm, well, I had tidied the desk but as you can see, I have messed it all up again!, no surprise there then, lol!.

 

I have been working with some new stamps and embossing folders by Sheena Douglas, A Taste of India.

 

 For my first sample I decided to use the temple stamp.

Having stamped the image, I applied perfect medium ink and embossed it with clear powder and then mounted the border as you can see below.

I made the Masterboard earlier in the week, it is on the Monday posting.
It looks like this:

 

I just need to put them together now and make them into something.

 

I don't want to keep you too long but what do you think of this:

It looks really harsh when you start it.

 

 

But look at it now, completely different.

This is another of the techniques used by Sheena, the mica paint has been rubbed over with gilding wax, gorgeous or what?

 

I will be back soon with the samples I have put together using these techniques.

Steampunk

Hi Blogging Friends  I have been busy working on some Steampunk stuff, yes I have also been working on the journal and there will be more of that on Thursday. I just needed a change lol! A bit of fun lol!
Any way, hope you like it.

Most of this was made using the card from the back of old envelopes.
I like it, it's nice and stiff without being too thick.

• Stamps by Chocolate Baroque and Creative Expressions, lovely!!
• Dies and Embossing Folders by Tim Holtz.
• Paper, sprayed with mica inks: Crafty Notions Colour Sprays.
• Brads by Creative Expressions, Faux Screws.
• Additional colour: Gelly Roll Pens.
• Crackle Glaze: Kroma.
• Gilding Wax: Treasure Gold.
• Eco-Green Acrylic Paint.
• Four Matchboxes.
• Stickles Glitter Glues.

The main body of the box was constructed with four matchboxes with the covers removed.

           Back view, clearly showing the design of the embossing folder.

 

I cut the card first using the cabinet die and then embossed it and

applied acrylic paint.

After painting the front with acrylic paint, I added crackle glaze and when set, I rubbed over this with gilding wax.

The balloon was stamped onto sprayed paper and card. The two stamped images were attached and finished with Stickles Glitter Glues.

I finshed the cogs by adding the Faux Screws.

Masterboard Monday

Hi Blogtonians more masterboard today and one I made for the envelope swap.

 

This is the masterboard with a close-up showing the detail.

It was made with a combination of clear embossing then swiping ink off the craft mat and stamping.

 

 

Here is the finished envelope with ATC and Bookmark.

I have to mention that the cord was taken from a Joules swing ticket.

You wouldn't expect me to throw such a lovely cord away would you lol!

 

 

The bookmark and ATC give a clear view of the texture which was created using Texture Paste and then colouring with Gilding Wax, such a nice little gift to add.

 

 

The stamps for this were Creative Expressions, Vintage Vixens and Steampunk Sirens and I used Sakura Gelly Roll pens to colour her.

 

 

Various embellishments completed the project.

 

The close-up shows the Stickles Glue which I added.
You have to have some shiny bits,
'It's the Law' lol!

Utee and Gilding Wax Card.

Hi Blogsters, I have been having a play with some Utee and Ranger stamps.

 

First, stamp using Perfect Medium and emboss with gold powder.

 

 

Next heat the Utee and pour onto a heat resistant mat. 
Apply Perfect Medium to the stamp (helps release the stamp) and push into the Utee.
Allow this to cool and then remove the stamp.

I actually used the whole of the stamp and then broke the Utee in half which gave enough stamped Utee for two cards.
I then rubbed over the Utee with Gilding Wax.

I love this technique and don't use it as often as I would like to simply because it means switching the melt pot on.
What a pathetic excuse lol!

Ali-craft blog challenge

All the stamps used are Kaisercraft which are available from Ali-Craft.

It's time for the 2nd Challenge on the Ali-Craft blog today and we have a lovely theme this month based on 'Butterflies', I have used the Kaisercraft Vintage stamps which are available from Ali-Craft.‎

                Just a few extra views for you and hope you like them.
I started off by making a masterboard which I used for the tag backgrounds. I am a bit of a technique junky. I adore patterned paper but sometimes find it restrictive and end up making my own background papers.
About this time of the year when the weather is nice I like to go outside and spend time spraying sheets of A4 paper in various colours which I then store ready to us later. I often use Mica sprays as they give a lovely glow to the paper.

 I also keep the sheets used to cover the table I have worked on as they always end up covered with a multitude of colour.(We can't go wasting these sheets as they can prove useful).
It's difficult to throw things away but I know you will understand lol!

I used a Prima mask, available from Ali-Craft, to create the dots by applying stencil paste with a palette knife, allowed it to dry and then rubbed over this with gilding wax and stamped on the background with similar colours to the background to add texture though this is a bit more difficult to see clearly.

I stamped the back of the card itself with one of the butterfly stamps with perfect medium and embossed with clear embossing powder to create a resist.

I applied distress inks with a blending tool.

The front was also coloured in a similar way without the stamping.

The button was attached before the tag was mounted.

 I used a variety of sprayed papers to cut out sections of the stamped images and decoupaged these.
I added glaze on the butterfly, bike wheel and the clock to give more interest to the design.
The cord was wrapped around and the tags mounted. The ribbons and crystals completed the design.
