Make it on Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a new Masterboard:

I think you may have seen me do something like this before, it's one of my favourite techniques to use up strips of waste card that are too small but too good to bin.

There's just so much you can do with those small pieces.
I have plans for the finished masterboard, you'll have to wait for that as I've got a busy weekend but I'll be back soon.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

It's a while since I last made a Masterboard but been playing this week to make s water effect for a card I want to make.

This is layers of stencilling with a variety of blue inks and white splashes of paint.

I've also had a play with a new card mechanism.
This is a Double Slide-Out card that I used with the Masterboard.

This is the front, a combination of the Masterboard, Studio Light papers but not sure what make the mermaid die is.
I completed the design with Stickles Glitter Glue and the sentiment is by Sara Davies, 'Enchanted Ocean'

This is an interesting card mechanism that moves backwards and forwards when you open and shut the card.

The fish are stickers and the Jellyfish and plants are dies.
The sentiment inside the card was a freebie from a magazine.

That was a fun card to make and very soon I'll put the instructions on the 'Card Fold Techniques' page here but there's plenty for you to see if you're stuck for a fun fold card.

Hope you like it.

I would love to hear your comments.

Make it On Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a new journal page:

I started this weeks ago and then left it.
It's often a good idea to start something and then leave it for a while.

Then I decided it was time to do something with it.

This was quite relaxing and fun to make.
The design is often called Neurographic Art. very relaxing and fun to work on.

I would love to hear your comments.

Make it on Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this die set:

If you were around last week you may have seen this die before but due to popular demand I'm showing you this week how the card is put together.

This was the one I made last week.

And here is the die and all the pieces cut out and ready to go together.

I decorated the front and back of the main piece but this doesn't have to be done.
The cake pieces have got their icing added, sentiment layered up and the candles are put together.

I've found that the easiest way of adding the cake section is to attach the candles first and then the cake slices.

Continue to add these pieces....

then add the bottom section of the envelope by attaching one side first, I started on the right side.

Then fold it flat and attach the other side (left). By attaching it like this you can see that the envelope will fold flat correctly.

And it stands up nicely too.
I finished the front of this with Stickles Glitter Glue.

The piece I've attached to the back can be used inside the envelope but I'm using it as a blank piece to write a sentiment on.

I have some thoughts about using this in other ways but you will have to wait until I get my head round that one Lol!

I would love to hear your comments.

Make it on Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you what I've been up to in my art journal:

If you were around last Wednesday you will have seen this well now it's finished.
I had been intending to do this when we got back from skiing in January but other things kept happening and I've only just got round to it.

So here is the finished page.

The background with mountains was hand drawn and painted using a combination of inks, paints and Tim Holtz watercolour pencils.
The small trees in the background were hand drawn with a black pen and the rest is stamped with a combination of stamps then a little extra shadow added with Tim Holtz watercolour pencil (I think I use these more than anything else, just love them).

I chose the stamps before starting this page so that I would be sure that the mountains would be in proportion to the stamped images when complete.
I think it worked.
I added Studio Light 'Effect Snow' on the roof and stickles glitter glue to the trees and fencing.
And the finishing touch, splatters of white paint for snow and I think that's done!

I must not leave it so long before starting the next page, I really enjoyed making this.

I would love to hear your comments.

Masterboard Monday review of 2025

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you some projects from last year.
I like to review my projects before getting started with the New Year.
Oh! and a little rest after Christmas. I think it's good to relax and put the Crafting on hold for a while and come back to it refreshed ...hopefully:

So here goes:
I think of these as my Masterboard Grids.

I almost forgot all of this and need to get back to it soon, I have a plan!
Details relating to this can be found here:
This is my collage journal, so much fun using up all those waste pieces of patterned paper and card.

I so love these and they make great card fronts too.

Details here:

Details here:

The best thing is to just get all those left-over bits together, rip them up and attach them to the page then some stamping and stencilling.

And it's easy to cut them up and use them on card fronts.

Details here:
More examples.
These are papers I made myself and are Gel Prints.

Details here:
I think that's enough for now, back again soon hopefully with something new.

I would love to hear your comments.

Masterboard Monday review of 2025.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here to show you some projects from last year.

I like to review my projects before getting started with the New Year.

Oh! and a little rest after Christmas. I think it's good to relax and put the Crafting on hold for a while and come back to it refreshed, oh! and pack all the Christmas craft stuff away too:

So here goes:

The clouds did become a bit of an obsession last year using stencils stamps and embossing folders.

This is a gorgeous embossing folder.

And yes one of my obsessions last year were the clouds.

Such beautiful starting points for a design.

And of course they make great cards too.

Oh! forgot these.....another obsession Lol!
Who doesn't love balloon dogs.
If you like these there are details here, herehere, here and here.

I would love to hear your comments.

Love making these Masterboards and not done them for a while. These are a technique called Retiform.

I cut them up with a grid die and then attached them back into place just adding a sentiment and images.

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

This will be the last cloud card for a while but I can't promise!

This is a Kinetic card today.

I've used a 6" x 6" card blank, Holographic base card and diecut clouds over the masterboard.
I embossed the sides of the cloud card.
The inks are all Tim Holtz Distress Oxides.

Kate Crane Balloon dog and finished with Stickles Glitter Glue and gems.
The sentiment is by Uniko Stamps.

I would love to hear your comments.

Masterboard Monday

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with one of these Masterboards:

I know you've seen lots of these by now but I'm still enjoying making them.

And something different today to add to them.
Kate Crane's balloon dogs, stamped, coloured and fussy cut.

Before adding them I layered up the background with coloured card and a piece of the cloud masterboard. Before attaching these to the card blank I cut three strips of accetate and attached them behind the card and a stamped strip of Velum too and attached the ends under the card.

Here you can see the stamps I used for the sentiments and the Balloon dog stamp.

And here they are attached to the acetate strips.
I did add some Stickles Glitter Glue to the clouds but it's difficult to see it here.

You can see here how the dogs stand out.

Hope you like it.
I would love to hear your comments.

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

Yes more clouds!
It does have some Stickles Glitter glue on parts though I'm not sure it's clear here.
I make no apologies, I'm still loving the clouds.

I embossed the clouds with a Spellbinders embossing folder.
(Sorry the colour is a bit brighter here, I think the light was different when I took the photo).
Instead of filing over the embossing, this time I rubbed over it gently using a blending brush with a very light amount of ink added.

The card below was made at the Craft and Chat club on Saturday.

I've die cut some balloons (Clarity Papers) to layer on the top.
Finished with a sentiment stamp.

I would love to hear your comments.

Masterboard Monday Use it or Lose it.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

I have already used part of this one and had a small piece left-over from the earlier project so thought I'd try a new embossing folder on it by Spellbinders to add extra detail.
This was only meant to be a test piece but it worked so well that I decided to make it into a card.

I rubbed over the embossing with a file to remove the colour and show up the detail then layer it up with matching colours.

It's not easy to see it but the birds were covered in Stickles Glitter glue to help them stand out.

And a little detail for the inside.
The birds are from a set by Oakwood (Sunshine and Showers) and the sentiments by UNIKO.

I love being able to use up the leftovers and there's always a way.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x
