Friday Fun day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

A little decorating taking place so lost my desk again.
I have been busy but don't seem to have a lot to show for it though you wouldn't want to see some of it! as it wasn't all smiles I'm afraid though most of it got sorted.

Hopefully this lot will disappear soon and we can get our garden back.
Remains of the old conservatory roof.

I know it's not Christmas yet but thought I'd show you this. Bought it at the Gift Show on behalf of Marie Curie charity. I'm sure you'll agree, it's a beauty.

And finally to make you smile, more doggy type funnies.

Fortunately we don't have a dog this size thank goodness!

But we do have one that like to do this!

Not a long post today but probably best that way so you don't get bored with it all.
I am off to the Craft Club tomorrow so might have some nice pics for next week.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW: 547 - What's On your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

Not really what you hoped to see I'm sure!
The room has been painted now so there is something happening.

But I did get chance to make some cards as I went to a friend's house for some crafty fun.
We finished some more pop up cards and I had managed to die cut a few pieces of card for toppers and baubles so we made these too.
They were happy so it's all good and I escaped the mess for a while.

I know a few of you will have seen these pics before as I posted them on my Friday Fun Day post and this little beauty too.
It is a desk so I'm allowing myself to include it and him, today.

He's a brilliant crafter, so interested in what's going on!
Sorry if you've seen him before but he so makes me smile.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Crafty Cardmakers 246 'No Patterned Paper'

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Monika is hosting today and our challenge is 'No Patterned Paper'.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to be cards, as long as it meets the challenge.

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

This Masterboard was made on an A3 sheet of Kraft card. I added screwed up tissue paper, texture with a stencil and layers of paint which I knocked back with some Gesso added with a dry brush.

To construct the card I ripped away a small section of the Masterboard which reveals the Kraft card along the edge leaving about a third of the white card blank showing. Now that's a real popper!

I had a little play around with some Seth Apter die cut pieces, a large gold jigsaw piece and more of the Masterboard.

Once again I've brought in the 'Press and Seal'. I'm beginning to wonder how I managed without it, it certainly makes jobs like this easier.

Once the pieces are well attached to the 'Press and Seal' you can turn it over and add the glue, sticky dots or whatever you wish to use.

Turn everything over and place in position, attach and then carefully ease away the 'Press and Seal'.

Everything looks exactly the same as the original idea, no movement and no problem in trying to remember the plan or photographing it before hand which is what I used to do to ensure the design was in position which never quite ended up as planned.

A few additional gems, Tim Holtz die sentiment and some clear glaze and the card's complete.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.

Friday fun day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

I've got my desk back at least for the time being though to be honest finding the stock and equipment I need is another matter!

You can probably see in both of these photographs that we are waiting for the ceilings to dry.
I have to decide how to dress the windows and I'm finding this really difficult.

More crafting with my friends on Wednesday. They enjoyed the card making so much that they wanted to do some more. Luckily I had prepped too many cards for last time so we worked on those which is good as it's difficult to find much at the moment.

They are very good pupils working hard here on their cards.

We finished off the pop up cards and then made a few with die cut layers, quite like these. I wasn't sure about the baubles when I cut them as the card was a really deep shiny red but with these patterned papers they look great.

This is Tiger, my friend's cat.
Just look at his face, he likes to pinch my seat when I get up.

Not sure what he's thinking here, what do you think?

My sister-in-law and her husband came at the weekend to bring me a pine chest of drawers they no longer needed which will be very useful in the new cabin.

Maisie is not a lover of visitors but they came bearing doggy treats so she decided they might be okay after all.

Stan just likes everybody so you have to let him sit on your knee like it or not.
I wish you could have seen him. They were sitting too close together so he had to wriggle quite a lot to get in between them so that he could make himself comfy and then put his head on a knee so he could have a nap.
I think they would have liked to take him home actually.

Stan isn't quite this size but I'm sure you get the idea Lol!
I am so pleased you are all enjoying the funnies.
These two just fitted in so well today.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW: 546 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

It's back in it's rightful place so that I can do some crafting.

But this is not me....it's just too tidy!
I'm working on some quick cards for a workshop that I'm doing today so you must excuse me if I'm a little late but I will get round you all.

Must mention the little lunch bag at the back there. I use it to hold the tin boxes of tiny Tim Holtz Distress Inks and they fit in it brilliantly.

And for those of you are not sure what's going on here, a photograph of the new studio, well log cabin really.

I know lots of you were asking how it's coming on and I have started moving a few things in but no organisation yet as we've still got the conservatory furniture in there too.

The chest of drawers at the front is from my sister-in-law, she didn't need them any more and I think they will fit in here nicely.

The cupboard at the back is from Storage 4 Crafts and hold the Very Useful boxes that you can see on the left of the photograph.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'll be round to see what everyone's up to later.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you how I made this card.

New Masterboards obviously because it's Monday!

These were made with Altenew layering Stamps and I really love the effect.

I've used lighter colours to create the background.
I just love how they go together.

And I've used the line stamp alone to create this Masterboard.

I stamped some red Poinsettia too which are a more traditional Christmas colours.
Not sure which colours I like the best really. These two were stamped without the outline stamp.

Some of these are completed with the outline and some without it and were then die cut.

For the outline Masterboard I started by stamping around the card and then masking some of the Poinsettia and stamping again.

Ended up with this.

And here again is the first card made with part of the collection.

For this card I've die cut two sections, layered them with red card and then added two of the red poinsettia with some die cut mistletoe.
I finished the card with a die cut sentiment, some small gems and Stickles Glitter Glue.

I'm sure you will be seeing these papers again soon.

Many thanks for stopping by and I'd love to hear your comments.

Happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Not a great deal happened with the Cabin as it's still being used to store the furniture from the conservatory.
We are still waiting for the plastering to finish the conservatory so can't start moving anything back in yet.

The ceilings and the roof are all completed though it doesn't look very pretty at the moment.

This is the area where my desk usually resides and the ceiling is finished here too with a Velux window to ensure we still get enough light coming in which seems to be working.

It's not a happy site at the moment but I'm sure it will look great when it's finished and then we can get the painting done and the furniture back in place which will mean I can start planning the arrangement in the Craft Cabin or as my hubby calls it the 'OCC' or Obsessive Crafter's Cabin....very funny I'm sure!

This is what the cabin looks like at the moment.

We did get some gardening done this week as we had a nice day last Sunday though there is still a bit that needs to be done but it could wait.
Then I met up with friends on Wednesday and we went to a lovely gift fair at Woodhall Spa run by the Marie Currie charity. I was amazed how busy it was considering it was the middle of the week.

I did realise that I haven't shown you any Steampunk pics recently so here are a few more.

Part of the evening entertainment.

Got to be some smiles there.

The weather was definitely better then than it is now!

And we must finish with a funny or two.

That's dogs for you!

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

Addendum!
Just heard that the plasterer will be here this afternoon so lots of smiles from me!

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.
