Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Hubby's away this week and he sent me a photo of his evening meal that he had the other day.
It looks a bit strange to me but he said it was really good. The meat is lamb and the odd looking thing is cabbage.....

Our garden continues to give lots of pleasure.

Flowers are such an amazing thing.

And so does the park.
It's a long time since these two had so many Cygnets if ever. That's a big family.

They are doing really well all eight of them.

This duck was quite disgusted with me as I had nothing to give him/her so trotted off.

This is one of the streams that run through the park.
The bushes surrounding it are ready for a trim I think.
Lincoln is very low, where we live it's about nine metres above sea level so it's very important that the water is looked after to prevent flooding.

On Saturday was the Craft Club, always a great day.

And later that day, off to my cousin to deliver some craft stuff for the Girl Guides that she looks after.

This is a small part of their very large garden where she grows her vegetables.

And here well I don't need to explain what we were going to do here!

For the rest of the week I've been in the cabin busy sorting out more stuff for her and trying to make some room on my desk.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

Leave me a comment and I'll pop over to see what you've been up to this week too.

WOYWW - 887 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit
Sarah's Craft Shed and our host Sarah will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

Well a bit different from usual.

This was the Craft Club on Saturday, it's not often you see punches on my desk but I got them out specially for a project one of the ladies wanted to do and of course coffee at the ready.

We made the card above first. Not really my sort of thing but I try to support the members when they are taking the class.

Then we moved onto the next one.

We were given a stencil for this one then I cut out lots of 1" squares which were placed through the stencil, once happy with the positioning you attach them in position.

Remove the stencil and snip off the waste pieces along the edges.

Finish it off by adding a sentiment and embellishments.

I think I could have fun with this style of card.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and visit the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

and
happy crafting,

Make it on Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made at the Craft club on Saturday:

One of our members cut these stencils to shape and then we positioned several one inch die cuts. We used a C5 card blank.

When you're sure about the positioning of the pieces they are attached to the card blank.Trim off the waste oieces at the side.

Add whatever embelishments you fancy.

And a sentiment and it's done.
In case you wondered I've cut these one inch square with a punch.....now that's something I've not used for a while. The images are by aall and Create and the paper by Dreamees.

I think this could be very useful for left-over pieces of card and could easily be suited to all kind of celebration depending on what papers are added.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

While I was sat in the conservatory deciding what to write here I had a visitor.

I took a quick photo as I thought he/she wouldn't stay long....I was wrong!

I think it had a nut of some sort and it was more interested in eating than worrying about me.

Though it did seem to be watching me.

Hubby calls this quirrel the 12.00 oclock visitor as it regularly has a walk along the fence about that time.

Later this chap arrived and has eaten most of the leaves on the top of the white lilac bush.

These are looking beautiful and definitely brighten the day.

The following photograph is of Daisy and Alfie.
This is one of their favourite places at the top of the stairs.

Most of my time this week has been spent sorting the Cabin and I have several boxes of craft stuff to go to a Girl Guide group, the craft club and a little friend.

It's been really warm here, well hot really so not much done in the garden as I am not a big lover of heat like this.

Shopping at the Supermarket was good as it was nice and cool there.

Dogs went for their haircut yesterday and I'm going for mine today but I'll be around later to see what you've all been up to.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

Leave me a comment and I'll pop over to see what you've been up to this week too.

WOYWW - 886 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

The little brown book holds all the birthday dates so you can guess that I've been working on, some birthday cards.
I've also been sorting out some stuff in the cabin and found some old punches that I haven't used for ages which gave me an idea for using up some of those left over pieces of patterned paper that we just can't throw away.
You'll get to see these soon.

Other than that I've finished the Baby Journal.

I love this and I'm sure I will use it again on a card sometime.

The last page has a birthday card for the babies first birthday.

And the spine........
.

If you need to see more you can find the detail here:

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and visit the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

happy crafting,

Make it on Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you the last part of the Baby Journal and if you would like to see more of it you can find it here:

I wanted to include a few extras to make everyone smile too.

This is a pull up Peek-a-boo embellishment.

I planned this to be for the baby's first year so included a birthday card at the end.

This is a pop out card but great for keeping flat too.

And finally I decorated the spine with embellishments from the set.

And the back was finished with a pattern from the set and my name tag.

And that's your lot!
Now I can get on with something else, at least until the next time!

Think it might have to be cabin sorting next!

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.
Which doesn't seem to have been that much really.

We went to the fish farm for new supplies for the pond gang.

These are the big boys at the fish farm.

I would love a pond like this as it has a vewing window at one end.

Then we went for lunch, always nice to eat out....no washing up to do!

Back home.....

Daisy and Alfie are always pleased when we get back.

How cute are they?
Not sure what they were looking at or maybe someone came to the door! or it might be dinner time.

Also done a few jobs at home.

Watering the Orchids.
One of my favourites that I have had for years.
My mum bought this from M&S.

In the garden but no idea what lives in there.

Hubby has been cleaning the filters for the pond too. If you want healthy Koi this is the job that has to be done.

Nearly finished the Baby Journal too.

Details here:

Mmm! maybe we have done a few things this week.

Just a quick funny to finish.

My two are capable of this given half a chance!

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

Leave me a comment and I'll pop over to see what you've been up to this week too.

I'm working on a new pop-up card for the Craft Club.

I'll show it to you properly when I've mastered the technique but looks like it should work out okay for the club.

I've almost finished the Baby Journal and this is part of what I've done recently and more details are available here if you need them.

Monday, 18 May 2026

Make it on Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a little more of the Baby Journal which is moving along nicely, still a few more weeks to go before baby arrives but don't want to be rushing at the last minute and you never know he could arrive early!

A few additions to the journal's mini book that you saw here last week.

An information sheet and I've included message tags to use for all those memories.

Lots of places for photographs to be added.

Card albums........

Some lined paper on the back of the tags to make it easier to write any notes.

Another small book for the photographs.

Always make sure there is plenty of room between pages as the journal will thicken up when things are added.

And spaces to add collectable memories.

You can never have enough journal pages for photographs so here we go again.

It's so much fun finding different ways to store the photogrphs.

There will be a little more to follow next week and then I'm off to start something new.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x
