Friday fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.
This week has been quite busy for me with more gardening.

There were a few things I needed from the garden centre but not fish but just had to have a look at what was in stock today and I found this guy.

He never took his eyes off me and gradually turned to get a better look.

Look at those eyes!
He or She is beautiful.

Next we went for lunch.
Smoked salmon and Prawn salad.
Scrummy!

This is Brigg garden centre, a great place to visit and a lovely restaurant too.

Finally planted everything too, which we had actually gone to the garden centre for! but you have to eat right!

Thursday went to the dentist but just a check up and everything is good.....for now at least.

A walk in the park and found these.....

It's ages since we've seen pebbles in the park and I love these.

How cute is this.

Which reminds me a few dog funnies to finish.

Just a few smiles for you.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

Leave me a comment and I'll pop over to see what you've been up to this week too.

Make it on Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a new project which I'm working on but I warn you this is going to take some time to make but has to be finished before the end of this month, you may guess why as the project develops.

So here goes........

This is the paper pad I'm using. I love it, there's a great collection of papers and decorative elements.

I first saw this style of Baby Journal by Shellie Geigle on YouTube.

So I'm starting off with the journal covers and spines.
The card for this is textured and a good weight to cover the Greyboard.

I've prepared the card ready to cover the Greyboard.

Try to attach this firmly. I like to use a combination of tape and wet glue.

Crease the corners well and you will get a nice neat finish.

And there we have it all neat and tidy.

Next we need to join the three pieces, front, back and spine.
I use Tyvek for this as it's strong and very difficult tp rip and a very strong double sided tape.

Finish by attaching two strips of matching card to cover the Tyvek and tape.

Pages next, white card for this.

Once the pages are attached we're ready to start decorating the journal.

Hope you like this so far there will be more to follow soon.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.
Last Saturday found me at the Craft club where I taught a card technique to the members.

This card is called the Pop-Out Parade card.

That was Saturday and this is Sunday:
Craft Show at the Lincolnshire show ground.

You might even recognise some of these ladies.

Food shopping came next and now I'm working on a new Baby Journal for a friend, fingers crossed it's finished in time.

However, the raised beds needed sorting ready for planting so that was Thursday's job.

I have left the Hydranger in there but removed the Willow I'm growing so fingers crossed it survives.

I've planted it up in a pot so we'll see how it goes.
This is the tree I took the piece from to grow it.

This is one of my Bonsai and after trimming it last year I thought I would plant a bit of the cuttings and now I have a new tree!

I think that's it for today, better get back to the baby journal.

Not sure dogs need any instruction on how to do this!

I know my two would love to do this given the chance.

As I said before this comes naturally, no instruction needed!

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

Leave me a comment and I'll pop over to see what you've been up to this week too.

WOYWW - 882 - What's On your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit
Sarah's Craft Shed and our host Sarah will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

If the photographs don't show up straight away, close the blog down and reopen as it's been playing up for me too but the photos appear again after shutting the blog down for even a second and then reopening it again.

Actually this was Saturday at the craft club.

And this is the card class that I did and if you like it I have the instructions here: for this Pop-Out Parade card.

My real desk looks like this:

The bag holds some new stamps and dies that I got from ther craft show on Sunday but I've not sorted them yet.
I was shattered after doing the class Saturday and then the craft show Sunday but didn't want to miss it.

And the rest of the desk is about to be taken over by a new Baby Journal.
I've kept putting this job off but I promised to make it so need to get started.
I know it will take me a while to make it so you can expect to see it here at different stages for a few weeks.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and visit the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

and
happy crafting,

Make it on Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you some cards from my class at the Craft Club on Saturday:

It is always a pleasure to see the members enjoying making a card that I've prepared for them and here is a selection of what they made.

Hope you like them.

This is a couple of the ones that I made as their examples:

They stand out at the front but fold completely flat to go in an envelope.

If you like them I have instructions of how to make them here in my pages section under 'Card Fold Techniques'.

You can see with this one that I have die cut the larger section so that you can see the design behing the stand out piece.

And now the ones the club members made:

I warn you there are lots of them.

It's great to see how they made the cards their own.

The next ones are a great idea for finishing the inside too.

I just love them all.

As a teacher it's great to see people making the designs their own and I know they will be passing the techniques on too.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x
