If you don't know what this is all about then please visit
Sarah's Craft Shed and our host Sarah will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

Still working on the Baby Journals.

Covers finished this week.

These are the papers I'm using by Trimcraft to make the pages.

They are quite old but some still available, great value and love the designs.

Sorry it's not very exciting yet but should get some inner pages completed by next week.

If you need to know how the covers were done the details are on my Monday post here:

So that's me done for today.

Just realised that next Wednesday will be Christmas day so guessing there wont be much crafting going on and hope you all have a great day.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Hi Workdesk friends.

So here is my desk for today!

Sorry if it doesn't look very intertesting today but I have just started a new journal page.
The pens are Arteza brush pens.

The Pink tub is empty at the moment but I've kept it as it looks useful for something (I know I should have binned it!)
The small packet of envelopes are covering the ATCs that I've started. I'm going to try and make extras so if you want to swap just leave me a message and I'll make sure you get one.

This is the start of the new journal page but that's as far as I've got right now but if you missed it my March page can be found here with the instructions of how I made it. It's the post below this one if you're intertested and this is how it looked finished.

I'm not getting a lot of pages completed but so far managed one a month which is an improvement on what I was doing before.
So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday. Use it or lose it.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
I am here today to show you my new journal page:

These strips of Tim Holtz Washi tape have been sitting in the drawer for far too long, so long that some of them were very very sticky! So now it seemed like a good time to use some of them up.

However no problem they are now covering this page.

I applied a thin layer of Gesso over the Washi Tape first and then the colour!

More unused products out today,  Brushos and Pixie powders this time added lightly so that the images and text on the washi tape was still visible.
I sprinkled this on and then sprayed water over it.

I used this to mop up the waste paint and I can tell you this will not end up in the bin and you will surely see it again.

So this is were we ended up.

I started by hand drawing the two birds and then painting around them to make them stand out against the background.
I masked the birds and stamped over the background with a sentiment stamp by AALL and Create and then splashed on white paint.

I added some white pen to highlight areas and shading too around the eyes and bodies to add depth.

The sentiment is by Studio Light.

I loved drawing these birds though I wasn't sure about them to begin with but satisfied with them now.
You might just see them appear again some time.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x

Masterboard Monday, Use it or lose it.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to try and use up some leftover Masterboard and more of those pretty things that sit around just waiting and forgotten:

And this week it's a journal page.

Oxide ink, brayer and some very old heart stamps which have been sitting around for years unused.

I started by applying the ink with the brayer horizontally and veryically on the page. Following that I sprayed the brayer with water and rolled it straight down the page which shows just how much ink is left on the brayer so waste not want not!

After that I used the old stamps to add some interest to the page still using the same colour of ink.

And stamped and embossed them on white card too.

I don't know why I haven't used this stamp before as it's lovely.

Next I fussy cut these ready for use later.

I had some pieces of embossed and diecut paper from an earlier project which I ripped into pieces and attached it to the page adding shadow to the hearts for depth with a soft pencil and some whiter splatters.

Next added some of the fussy cut hearts, more shadow and splatters.

I have hundreds of these sentiment labels so that's another left-over off the list.

The metal LOVE embellishment had also been sitting around for some time so added that too.

So that's it really for today, hope you like it. Just have to think what might be the next page!

Happy creative week to you all.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x

So here is my desk for today!

I have got round to starting something new!
However please don't look too close at the exploding box as it's not got much further to go so think I really will have to get it sorted.

And so to the new stuff.

Actually this is not a new journal book but it's never been used and so as part of my 'Use it or Lose it' plan it has to be filled.

I am hoping to complete at least one page per month to begin with but we'll see. I am trying to be realistic so I'm not planning too much too soon.

Started with some simple colour blending and some white splatters.

Stamping.

.

More stamping and a collection of different ephemera then more paint splatters and stickles glitter glue.
I finished this with a few old postage stamps.
I know Christmas is gone but some of the elements were left over so it seemed like a shame not to use them.
I hope this will be the start of lots more pages.

And for those of you who were interested in the tag book dies this is what I've made with them.

This was made with a mixture of patterned papers and diecuts.

So that's me done for today.

It's actually my birthday today but I will do my best to get round everyone, just might take me a bit longer than usual.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

WOYWW - 683 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

I'm trying this week to get that journal project finished so that I can move on to something new, it's been half done for weeks.

Not sure this is a very clear photo but it's just needing a sentiment I think though I have gone a bit mad with this but then it resembles my garden quite well!
It is a combination of Stamperia papers, magazine pics, stamping, die cuts and adhesive dragonflies Oh! and I've added some Stickles Glitter Glue too.

The exploding box is definitely ready to pop out it's contents! better have a tidy up soon.

Nothing very new here but this maybe:

For those of you who were interested in my new microwave flower press these are some of the first flowers I've tried. They are Fox Gloves and they took about 80 seconds to dry completely.
You need to do this for 20 seconds and then check, then 20 sec. and check until you are happy with the finish. Bit quicker than the old way of pressing them and the colour's good too.

You can see here they are very thin and dry.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

happy crafting,
