Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".
If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

So here is my desk for today!
Busy desk and a bit cluttered due to several projects taking place at the same time.
The thing on the left is a canvas I'm working on and the tray at the right is holding the results of my playtime with the resin and if you look a little further back on the right in the brown bowl is something which came out of that large mould.
I did it! and it wasn't so scary after all! and the results are great, really pleased.
Here are the moulds I used.
This is me giving it a poke to see if it's setting, it was quite exciting really when I finally plucked up courage to get on with it.
And this is what came out.
As the resin is clear I have covered it now with Gesso so that you can see it a bit better and if you think it looks familiar now you would be right as it's the same dragon that I used on a project before and I liked it so much that I decided to get the mould and make my own.
I have plans for him!

Gosh that resin worked really well, Angela! was there a lot of measuring and mixing to do, is that why it was scary? a the dragon looks as great in ‘crystal’ as he does in colour! And I have to say, that ‘thing’ on the left is just a canvas you’re working on....already looks like a masterpiece to me...less of the ‘thing’, I think!!
Wow Angela, that dragon is fabulous and after your beautiful project with him last week I don't blame you getting the mould so you can make more copies of him. The frame on your desk is looking gorgeous and intriguing and I'm very much looking forward to seeing what you do with it.

I’ve always been put off the thought of resin by the seemingly complicated process you have to go through so well done for being brave, the result is so well worth it! I like the dragon before and after the gesso, I look forward to seeing what you have in store for it!

I was working my way down the list - I'm not sure how I managed to jump over your post, Angela. It would have been a shame to miss it! The dragon looks marvellous - the most difficult part about working with resin (other than getting the proportions right) is the waiting! Hi Angela, great result with the dragon. Have been stencilling today.. I tried acrylic paint, acrylic paste and Cosmic Shimmer polish. The paste was the worse for seeping under. It didn’t occur to me until I did it that the Polish might not dry hard - we will see tomorrow. What do you think the best thing is with stencilling? Have a great week Angela x #6
Wow, you have done well with the resin, Angela. I've never tried it, but it looks really professional. The canvas looks very interesting, too. Thank you for your visit, and I'm glad you enjoyed the funnies! My hubby does make me laugh sometimes, and when I laugh at him he sometimes gets cross, which only makes me laugh more! I'm glad you liked that photo of Ruby - I just managed to catch her in the act and she looked so cute sitting like that! The kitty throw is coming on well but I have some decisions to make about what to do first - appliqué or making up? - and how to keep it secret from my hubby once it starts getting interesting?

Thank you for the tips xx I used a stencil brush and a palette knife, started in the middle and “pounced” in all directions! I don’t use my stencils very much because I get mixed results, but I am determined to practice more. Angela

yes I remember that dragon on a box! fabulous, I was looking at moulds and stuff last week but I'd need to start from scratch. Gosh Angela he is fantastic. So delicate, no wonder you were afraid of pulling him out. He looks well worth all the nervous waiting time though. I am so impressed!

Hi Angela! I'm in love - -with that dragon! Wow! I can't wait to see what you do with it. I've never done anything 3-D like moulds, good for you for trying something new! Yes, Mittsy gets herself into strange little spots too, and we have to follow the mews to see where's she stuck! When she was a kitten she almost hung herself on the curtain string, luckily I was right there and could save her. Good thing cats have 9 lives! Thanks for your earlier visit, have a great week!
