WOYWW - 572 # What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

Some of you will almost certainly notice something new here today.

The plastic box towards the left is full of these.
Stamps and loads of them just got to decide what to do with them though I think I have a plan.

These two are my UFOs for today.
I've been using up this background paper and thought I would use the die to layer over the top as I've had it ages and never used it. It's by Clarity. The stamps for this Masterboard are by Hero Arts and they are very old so that's another forgotten thing.

It was while I was die cutting that I wondered whether I could use the negative pieces on another card so I attached a piece of double side sticky sheet to them while they were still in the die and then applied Gilding Flakes to the uncovered sticky areas and that's how I created the background then die cut the top with Kraft card and layered everything together.
A few small butterflies, Stickles glitter glue and a Tim Holtz sentiment and the card is complete.

Now back to the desk.
The new thing is the glass mat by Tonic for Tim Holtz.
I've wanted one for a while and Craft Stash have them at half price at the moment so it seemed like a good time to buy one. They are rather shiny.

This little box is full of proverbs, thought they might give me some ideas for my journal. Another old product that has finally seen the light of day.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Angela x

Hello Angela and happy anniversary. Always lovely to see what another crafter has been up to during the week. I like how you have used the papers and diecuts. It will be interesting to see how you use the stamps. A couple of years ago I decoupaged the top of a box using a variety of stamps and was very happy with the end result. Looking forward to your inspiration. 800 proverbs should see a few ideas for journals. Have a lovely week and thank you for sharing your creative projects over the years.

Morning Angela. Happy 11th anniversary! You really have been having fun delving into the cupboards, haven't you?! Loads of unfinished and unused things there. Well done on the cards - that has used up lots! Could spend hours on Craft stash if I tried - wouldn't take much effort on my part...
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

Happy bloggiversary! Your "cut out" cards are lovely - they look so clever to me - a non paper crafter. I love seeing what you do. xx Jo

Hi Angela, gorgeous cards and a very clever way of using the die cut pieces. Enjoy using your new glass mat, I hardly use mine as I discovered I'm a bit funny about it feeling squeaky to work on - weird I know - but I tend to stick with a silicon sheet - perhaps I should give it another chance!
Hope you have a great week and Happy WOYWW Anniversary,

Happy 11th Bloggyversary Angela, I hope you have a fun day looking around everyone's UFOs and enjoying the celebrations. If you can't think of something arty to do with the stamps, I'm sure there'll be a charity who'll be happy to take them off your hands!

Hi Angela, lots of great projects to see. Great idea for using the negative space. Tims mat being so reflective/shiny is the one thing that I don't like, as I always take step by step photos for blog posts, and it's a nightmare trying to get photos without glare from my overhead lights!I love the Poetic Prints box, isn't it gorgeous! Stay safe, have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #12 X

What fabulous cards. Perfect way to finish a masterboard. I'm amazed at how you came up with ways to use your off cuts of your dies. That is genius.

I wish I lived closer. I'd gladly take some of those postage stamps off your hands. I'd use them in my mixed media art and my ICADs that I'll be making next month. That's a great new glass mat, too. Happy WOYWW from # 6.

Hi Angela, Happy 11th WoywW Anniversary, there's a lovely lot of creativity gone on with your UFO's clever way of using the negative of the die. I have that image in a stamp & stencil but shamed to say have never used it.. Both super cards may I say. Well done on treating yourself to the mat I find mine all hide the messy marks a lot better hee hee!!
Nice find with the proverbs btw that's a real bonus find & I can not wait to see what you do with all those stamps!! Hope you are keeping well dear friend? Thanks so much for introducing me and encouraging me to play along on Wednesdays, forever grateful Thank YOU.. Stay safe Hugs Tracey xx

I made simple Christmas cards with used Christmas stamps. Just a stamp in the centre of a 4" x 4" card. Simple but effective. I also used some on gift tags and bookmarks.

Happy 11th!
Your desk today is rather tidy!
Great box of stamps! Maybe a collage??
Enjoy your mat! I love mine but have to cover it to do my videos or take pictures, which is no big deal.
Have a wonderful day!

Hi Angela, happy anniversary! I haven't seen a products such as your Proverbs box, a good idea though. I had a look at Eden and they have a couple of similar products, but with pictures. I think I prefer without so maybe I could print some . Your die is unusual and a great idea with the negative. Wow that's a lot of stamps, great for collage especially altered a little. x Angela #44

How inventive of you, to use the negative die cut pieces like you did, it leaves you with two awesome cards! Love the second one especially because of the colour-combo and all those layers, great job! Happy anniversary dear one, stay safe. Big hug from Holland, Marit #32

Ah yes, the box of proverbs, I suspect will be more useful in your journal than in a box in a drawer. Withered mine still are! Haven’t thought of them for years!! I still have all my Poetic Prints sets from Hero Arts too, still use the leaves and florals quite regularly, but not so much the others. Great stamps aren’t they. Loved your idea with the negative die and gilding flakes, makes a really nice card, with a hint of a bit different, a some thing we are all striving for I think. I can’t imagine where you’re going with the idea for the stamps, a friend once made a fabulous Bargello with loads and loads of them, but they weren’t all mostly solid blue at the time. I wonder what she did with that, I coveted it for a couple of years!
It’s lovely to see you here, I hope Wednesdays for now are offering you some sort of normality during the difficult days for you.

I spotted the mat straight away but then wondered if it was always there and I was just not observant enough.. What is so special about them? I have a glass mat but at half price if they are special I might just be tempted.
Good idea to use the negative pieces like that - two great cards as a result.
Well, another year gone, a strange one this time, wonder what will come out the other side and what we will be saying at the next Anniversary.
Hugs, Neet 5 xx

I can hardly wait to see what you create with all these lovely supplies. I'm a huge fan of stamps (although it has been difficult to save many in the past few years as snail mail dwindles), and have turned them into many mini booklets.

I love your idea of the double-sided tape use for your diecuts...aren't you just brilliant!

Hi Angela! I love your cards, great resourcefulness! I have one of those Tonic Boards as well, I got it for Christmas. I really like it, although the covering for the white part is curling at one corner, so I may just have to remove it. Happy Anniversary, glad to be your WOYWW friend! Lindart #40

Super cards with those die-cut backgrounds! I'm sure the proverbs will come in handy on journal pages and you can't go wrong with postage stamps either! You can't beat a half priced offer - enjoy your new media mat. I was thinking of buying one too, but decided with my messy way of doing things it would just be wasted on me LOL. Happy anniversary, Angela - thanks for your visit earlier! zsuzsa #30

Hello and happy WOYWW! Yup, I am still making my rounds. I have been visiting a few desks between amending the soil in my veggie beds and planting my veggies for the season. Today is already turning out to be rather hot so I think I will wait until later today to finish today's tasks. It's been nice for the last few days so I have moved my workspace to my deck to enjoy some fresh air. I am so curious to see what you do with the stamps. The projects you completed look so pretty. I did some die cutting too for my UFO. Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely weekend. Stay well.
