Friday Fun Days with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week amongst other things then I'm out walking with friends. See you later x

Yes it's gardening again! Round the front this time.

Still not done so praying for good weather as I still have the main part at the back to do yet.

However something completely different.
I saw two of these Grey Wagtails the other day which we have never seen in the garden before.

Apparently they like to be near water and I photographed them near the pond so maybe they were eyeing it up as their winter stop over.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

So much for the tidying up as it didn't happen, got distracted! Just made enough space to start the new project.

A canvas! an old book with pages ripped out! something's going on here for sure. Even the spray bottles in the background might give the game away Lol!

And that box! It has got to be sorted soon Lol!

And still no sign of Christmas cards!

So that's me done for today.

Thank you for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

Masterboard Monday with Seth's Stash.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
I am here today to show you a card that I've made with a new Masterboard.

I still have lots of leftovers but felt it was time for something new.

I have managed to collect a few Seth Apter stamps, dies and embossing folders and really wanted to have a play.
I just love their quirky style.

To make this Masterboard I started with an A3 sheet of Kraft card. It had been tucked under the other sheets on my desk and already has some paint on it. This was done on purpose of course!!!!!!!

Anyway it doesn't matter because I have done this with it.
I used ink sprays to colour the card and some of them contained mica so you may be able to see a little shimmer on there too.

The following stages show the making of the Masterboard and construction of the card.
To decorate the sprayed background I used the following stencils and stamps.

Tim Holtz distress inks were used through the stencils then the stamp was applied with embossing ink and gold powder added and heated.

To construct the card I cut out a small section using the Neat and Tangled 'Punchinella' die, removed the dots and used those to decorate the edge of the card blank.

Then started to add the layers.
Textured paper with the edges distressed.

Gradually building this up, next with a piece of Kraft card.

Then added a small square of the Masterboard.

And embellishments.
These stars were cut using a Seth Apter die.

Finally added the sentiment, more of the Punchinella circles and coloured gems.

All ready to be sent out.

I still have plenty of the A3 Masterboard left so you can be sure that more cards will follow.

Hope you enjoyed watching me make this, any questions, just ask.
Happy crafting,
Angela x

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Lots of gardening!!!!! all of this came from the plants along the fence.

Tidy or what!

Maisie and Stan watching on.
Time they learnt how to garden Lol!

Pond next!
Everything is well grown at this time of the year and looks lovely but soon the weather will change and the plants will start to die off for their winter rest so it's time to clip them back and take out some of the overgrown parts or it would take over the whole pond.

Looks a bit sad now but that's life.

Still plenty to do yet and so far the weather is being kind.

If you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

Have a great weekend everyone and

WOYWW 381 # What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!
Yes it's a bit messy but I am excused as I am between projects.

Just finished the card on the left and thinking about maybe doing something in my art journal.
As you can see the Christmas stuff has disappeared and all my good intentions have gone with it at least for the time being Lol!
The stamps on the top of my journal are not new just a few I've got out while I consider my next project.

The box on my desk is back to the explosion stage and I really must sort it before starting my next project. There are a few new dies tucked in there too.

So that's me done for today, hopefully by next week there may be something more interesting.......... you never know!

Thank you for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Crafty Cardmakers challenge # 173 Autumn

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Mary is hosting our Autunm challenge, so let's see what reminds you of this time of the year. That could be autumn colours, themes such as harvest, falling leaves, it's up to you.
As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to be cards, as long as it meets the challenge, and doesn't exceed the 15 total challenges entered rule!

So here is my contribution.

I started by stamping several A4 sheets of card with an identical stamp.

Then prepared a piece of black card which would fit a 6x6 card blank and onto this I attached some die-cut leaves which were made using a Tim Holtz Thinlits die set.  I completed this first stage by splattering on white paint using the Pebeo marker pen.

The next stage was to stamp and die cut the topper using a Neat and Tangled journaling card called Maple Leaves.

Next mounted the die cut onto black and Kraft card.

It's not clear from this photograph that the leaves actually stand out so here is another which shows this better.

The sentiment stamp was by Hobby Art Ltd 'Floral Greetings' set.

As you can see I did a little stamping inside too.

So that's your lot for today!

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.

4. Just for Fun Rubber Stamps - September JFF Challenge.
5. Paper Artsy Challenge # 18 Autumn Leaves.
As soon as I saw  these gorgeous Maple leaves I just knew I had to join in. What do you think.
I particularly liked the journal pages by Martha 'Autumn Dream' as the colours were slightly muted and it worked so well.

Guest Creative Guide for A Vintage Journey.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I was so pleased to be asked once again to be a visiting Creative Guide for A Vintage Journey and here is the project I've been working on.

This is how I started:
The theme for this challenge is 'Create within A Frame' and the first thing that came to mind was to use the reverse canvas technique and this is what I came up with.
To make it even more interesting I also added smaller reverse canvases to the inside section of the frame, making it frames within a frame!

The frames were completed using Calico Crafts MDF pipe work and  my glue gun, before applying Finabair Art Stones and Texture Pastes then a coat of Gesso.

I used a variety of Crafty Notions Colour sprays over this, drying between colours until I was happy with the coverage.
I don't really like this stage as everything looks messy right now!

While waiting for this to dry fully I prepared the spiders with Gesso, Crackle Paste, distress ink and Treasure Gold.

The spiders are MDF.

When everything was dry I finished the frame off by adding Finabair rust paint around the edge, some little dew drops and rubbed over with Classic Treasure Gold then applied the spiders using a heat gun.

The little bottles are actually for nail art and come with the tiny glitter inside.
I completed the design by adding the metal sentiment and some Pebeo white ink which I splattered onto the canvas.

The things I used to make this project are as follows:

A pan scrubber which makes great cobwebs. I cut up parts of this and placed them under the little bottles.

But then I decided I liked it so much that I wanted more of it so added it around the large spider too as you can see here. You need to pull and stretch it quite a bit to give a more realistic cobweb appearance to it.

Inks and Treasure Gold.

Art Stones, Rust Paint, Crackle Paste, Grunge Paste and Matte Multi Medium.

So that's it for today.
I hope you like it and maybe pop over to A Vintage Journey and join in the challenge.

Back soon
and
happy crafting,

Angela x
