Friday Fun Day with Smiles

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Welcome once again to my Friday Fun Day, hope you enjoy looking.

This week we have been in France skiing though as you read this we will be ready for the trip home.
If you look closely you will see it is snowing which it has done for a good part of the week.
This was such a gorgeous photograph showing the most enormous icicles.
They were so long that it was difficult to get it all in the photograph so close-up.

There have been days that we were unable to ski which is unusual at this time of the year.
It has snowed so hard that there was a complete Whiteout but some people have insisted on skiing and were involved in an avalanche.
This is the second one in Tignes in about a month but thank goodness no-one was hurt this time.

But lets get away from that to something for you all to smile about.
We got up on Tuesday morning to see these two trying to dig their car out.
Yes there is a car there!
This was about 8.30 in the morning just as we went for breakfast.

Still not quite there but nearly!

They managed to dig it out at about 12.00 lunchtime but I will not bore you with all the photos, at least it kept us entertained and then we went off to see friends who work here for the season.

So despite the lack of skiing early in the week we still had something to smile about and great skiing from Wednesday onwards.
If you involve yourself in sports like this sometimes

Hope your weekend is good too.

Have a great weekend everyone and thanks for stopping by.
As soon as I can I will be off to see what you have all been up to but please excuse me if I am a bit later than usual.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

It is hard to understand why people would want to ski in a Whiteout - but thank goodness they were not hurt by the avalanche!! Great pics of them digging the car out... I don't suppose they could drive it anywhere though - lol! Safe journey home and have a good weekend Angela! Hugs xx

I am glad you got some good skiing in at the end of the week. I love the icicles! it looks a tad too cold for me but I am not as active as you. I expect you had the clothes and the exercise to keep you warm. Hope the journey home is a good one. Kate x

How lovely to be in the snow and having fun, sounds like you had a good time. I'm still wondering what the people did with their car once they'd dug it out??? Safe trip home and have a great weekend xxx

Gosh what huge icicles and what deep snow. Hard to imagine it covering a car like that.
As Brenda says above - what did they do when they got it out - drive it over the other one and sink in the snow again?
Hugs, Neet xx
