Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

I have a photograph to show you from the park.
They are putting the roof on the band stand!
So things are coming along there.

Sorry about the graffiti, it's not even very artistically drawn Lol!

A few of you were interested in my bottle collection too so here are a few photographs.

I make no apologies but you may get fed up with this as I do have a few scattered around the house!

These did not all come from the tip near us as my hubby dug some of them out when he worked on an Open Cast Mining site as a student.

Just the last few now.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

Angela x

What a beautiful roof they are putting on. It's going to look gorgeous when it's finished. I love your bottle collection....I found a little bottle in that sort of glass in our old garden that I've kept....but just the one sadly.
Have a great week.
Hugs,

What a beautiful bottle collection. No standardisation in those days. I notice they all have different width bottle necks. None of your: 'One cork fits all' convenience. I wonder how they did close a bottle in those days. I guess a lot of beer was drunk then. They must have been flat or hardly fizzy at all.
The little octagonal one is cute. I wonder what that was used for. Also: why would people throw those bottles away. There seems nothing wrong with them.
Ah the band stand. That is a beautiful wooden roof going on there. Very nice.
Have a good weekend. I hope your weather is better than here. It's been raining since yesterday. We have lit the fire again and wearing warmer clothes (and staying in) Brrr!
Hugs,
Lisca

Beautiful bottles, Angela! I love the subtle colour, and the variation in size and shape I have one, with a marble in the neck to close it. It has the feel of sea glass.

Thank you for your visit, Angela, and for your kind words. It's not an ideal situation and I just want some resolution! I do think the hernia may have returned, which will perhaps make things happen, but I have to wait for the scan.

Your bottle collection is fabulous. My brother collects them too. I think he would be really interested in yours, particularly the more unusual blue ones - I remember his are mostly green. Thanks for sharing and I hope your week has so far been fun. Elizabeth xx
