Friday Fun day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

It's not often you see this but I'm actually using my sewing machine today.

I had decided to wash some cushion covers and when I removed the filling it looked like this so thought I had better make it a new cover.

Now that looks better.

Fruit trees looking good too.

Apples.

You may remember I said the other week that my car has gone in for some work to be done on it so we popped in to see how it's going.

And here she is, new wing and undercoat.
So far so good.

Another week or so and she may be coming home.
It's so good to find someone who knows how to do these jobs.

On Wednesday we went to a funeral of an old friend. It's always sad when you lose people close to you but he has done so well as 29 years ago he had a new kidney which was only expected to last for about ten years but was still going strong when unfortunately it was found that he had cancer. Still hard for the family to lose him.

The rest of the week I've been been felting and gardening and the usual housework stuff.

So I'm going to finish here with a few thoughts for the day.
How true.

Sad but true.

Which just proves it's better to not leave them on their own for too long.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

My Singer yells at me, but, oh, sewing really isn´t mine (was a pressie from Ingo).
So funny in your language cars are female. They will always be strong males who protect me...
Cancer. I am so sorry. I lost both parents to that. Really, why do rich people put money into flying to Mars instead of finding a cure for this.
I so agree on the antidepressant.
My friend has teenage-twins and has to help them at school.
My mouse.. I was only a kiddo and didn´t know - but she grew very old and changed from night- to day-active and told me stories (I hope).
So... to smiles, hugs x

Well done on the cushion cover. I must admit, my sewing machine only sees light of day when it absolutely has to.
I hope you get a good fruit harvest come the autumn. I always think fruit and veg taste better when you have grown them yourself . Kate xx

It made me smile to see you sewing. Your fruit tree looks good and your funnies made me chuckle esp the poem.

Well done you for doing those pillow covers. My sewing machine only comes out ehen absolutely necessary. I am very short so everything I buy has to be shortened. But for trousers I often use a sticky thing that gets ironed in.
Dog as anti-depressant, yes, I believe it would be very effective.
I bet you miss your car. (But it will be very nice when its done.)
Enjoy your weekend,
Lisca

Your car is coming along beautifully - I'm looking forward to seeing the finished repairs!

Sorry to hear about your friend. It's always so hard to lose someone so close, and of course, the more we age, the more it happens. 😢
