Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Last weekend we went to a friend's for a barbeque but was enjoying it so much that I fogot to take any photos.

On Monday we went to get parts for my old girl.

She's looking a bit sad at the moment as she's at the body shop. There are a couple of bits, a sill and wing that need work doing on them but we decided to get new parts which should ensure no further rust for a while at least.
This might seem a bit serious and if you've never had a 'Classic Historical Car' you may wonder why we're bothering but she is 53 years old and we have had her for about 46 years so even with this work being done it's worth it and I hope to keep her until I can't manage to get in and out of it any more! So hopefully a few years to go yet.
It's also the only car we've ever had that's worth more now than when we bought it.

Later in the week my friend from France came to see us and sent me a photo of the B and B she stayed at here in Lincoln.

If you like somewhere very modern you wont want this.

But this is just the sort of place I love.

It's not more than about a mile away from where we live and never even noticed it before.

And apparently the owners are lovely too.

Later in the year we're having a week away at Annecy in France and my friend sent us this too, it's called 'Jardins-secrets' and look like an interesting place to visit so we'll see.

We also went to Downtown for some shopping and of course I came home with a few things.

Daisy and Alfie have been for a hair cut ready for their week in the kennels while Des is away, as he starts his school visits next week.

And here they are enjoying the garden.

Our swans in the park have babies but can you see how many there are?

These are some of the Geece that live in the park but the Cob swan decided he didn't want them in the lake and so they moved out for a while, think they got fed up of being chased around.

These are just so gorgeous, in my garden.

Who couldn't love these gorgeous flowers.

I think that's enough for today

but here are a few funnies to make you smile.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

Baby swans again. (Is there one on the mother's back?). It is fun to watch them growing up. I know a cob can be quite vicious, especially if he is protecting his family.
The hotel looks rather special. Not to everyone's taste but far nicer than all shiny modern . You have a quiet week ahead so relax and enjoy it. Kate x

Your rhododendron is gorgeous…we only have one bloom on ours this year sadly. I think I spot 5 baby swans…one is hitching a ride 😀

Your car is getting a face lift. She will look gorgeous again soon.
Oh what a lovely B&B! I like quirky, so I would love to stay at that one.
The place in France looks wonderful too.
I spotted four baby swans until someone else mentioned the fifth hitching a ride on daddy's back.
What a beautiful rhododendron flower.
I think the doctor is right. A dog (and perhaps also a cat) is the best anti-depressant.
Have a lovely weekend,
Lisca

That's a jam-packed post, Angela. You live such a fascinating life and I always love seeing your surroundings. The B & B is lovely, your swan population is growing exponentially, and and pooches hair cuts look fabulous! Happy week to you and yours, my friend.
