WOYWW 308 # "What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday".

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.

Back again for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.

Always busy with the crafty stuff I needed to do but never too busy to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain what it is all about.

I am working on the ATCs now and if you would like to swap then please send me your email address and I will send you mine so that we can swap snail mail addresses.

Still tidying up from making Tim Holtz Tag finished on Monday.

Anyhow! this is what's on my desk today...
Click on the picture to get a better view of the labelling.

Many of you enjoyed looking at my Orchids so here are a few more.

You can just about see the little dragonfly clips that I use to hold the stalks, they are so sweet and come in lots of colours.

Couldn't resist showing you this...
A photo I took on our way to see my mum yesterday.
Everywhere is covered in this gorgeous yellow though I must say it has a very strong smell which I am not so keen on.
It is called Rape and produces Rapeseed.

Well that's your lot and I'm off to see what everyone else has been up to and may I just say how grateful I am to all those people who are kind enough to visit me and leave a comment.
I shall definitely visit you back and as many other desks as I possibly can.

Happy woyww,

Tim Holtz Tags # April 2015

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

These are Tim's Tags for April 2015.

And this is my own interpretation which became a greeting card.

I have so many birthdays coming up that it seemed to make sense to "Kill Two Birds with One Stone" as they say.
I more or less followed Tim's method of making this but did add faux stitching.
I also thought it would be nice to make a black and white version to use as the mat to mount the tag onto as seen below.

I made two flower cards but have only used one for this piece but will be using the other one soon.

I used this set of Thinlits for the sentiment.

But did not have the Word Blocks so used the star die from the butterfly Framelits.
I quite like the way it looks, hope you do too.

I added a couple of gems to finish the tag.

I am quite pleased with the finished tag and the card.
I have just made the deadline for joining in this month with a few days to go which is good for me. If you would like to pop over and have a look click here to see Tim's tag for April.

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here again to show you what I made with the Masterboard that my friend Gloria sent me for this month's swap.

I have made a Mini Book, requirements for this are the Masterboard, black card and any embellishments you fancy.

I began by making a drawing of what I wanted the folder and pages to look like and then worked out the measurements and made a pattern.
I knew how I wanted it to look but always like to work the idea on paper first.

I started by cutting out the cover, pages and spine in black card:

The Measurements for the card are as follows:
The Cover:   14.5" x  4.5"
The Spine:    11" x 4.5"
The Pages:    9"  x  4.5
(which are foded in half)

I scored these and put them on one side while I prepared the matting and layering pieces using the Masterboard below.

And this is how I made the book.

I trimmed some textured card for the first layer and attached these.

Here you can see the cover for the book when folded.

I used stamps by Sheena Douglas to add extra detail to the Masterboard and then cut out the sections and layered them up.

Here you can see the spine once it was scored and inserted.

I am not going to show you every page as there are so many but here are a few samples.

Front Cover.
Adding metal corners, dragonfly, ribbon, gems and a Tim Holtz fastener.

Spine.
This is the large butterfly which I have cut out and attached.

The flourishes are heat embossed and the butterfly finished with glaze, stickles and gems.

Pages.

This should give you some idea of how this little book was made and what it looks like finished.

Hope you enjoyed looking.
I would love to know what you think of this piece.

Happy crafting,
 Angela x

WOYWW 307 # "What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday".

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.

Back again for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.

As ever, still busy trying to catch up with all the crafty stuff I needed to do but never too busy to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain what it is all about.

Anyhow! this is what I've been up to this week.

Finished making the earlier stamped images into cards which I posted at the weekend here if you want to see them.

And this is what's on my desk today...

Still haven't got round to moving the new stamps but I have varnished them.
I have started the new project and everything is more or less tidy unlike how the desk was only hours ago.
See below...

Quite a difference!
I was finishing off the Mini Book I have been making and will post it Monday with instructions for making.

It occurred to me that you might like to see what happens behind me!

This is the wall at the other side of the room.

Well that's it for now.

Many thanks for popping in to see me and hope you will have a look at what the others are up to.

Happy woyww and hoping you have
a great crafty week,

Chameleon Pens.

Welcome to all my new followers and hope you enjoy the journey.

I know lots of you have been interested in my development with the Chameleon pens and thought you might like to see some more of the cards I've made.
I have lots of birthdays coming up and needed cards which could be posted.
Those of you who live in the UK will be aware of the strange postage rates we have for letters, so I was looking to produce something fairly slim.

Anyway here they are:

I have used the Chameleon pens to colour these stamped images.

I have lots of  patterned papers which I don't tend to use very often and I have included some of these for the matting and Layering.

I have finished both cards by adding buttons and gems and glazed part of the stamped images for added interest.
The stamps are by Imagination Crafts.

Here you can see the thickness of the card and envelope together so still slim enough to take a small letter stamp.

Thank you for popping in to see me and hope you enjoyed looking.
I have more cards to follow using stamps from this collection and hope you will be able to call again to have a look.

Have a great weekend and happy crafting,

Angela x

WOYWW 306 # What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

Anyhow! this is what I've been up to this week.
You will need to click on the photo and open it to see the labelling,

however I have also included a few enlarged photos of those things I thought you might be interested in and here they are......

Orchid stamp in a range of colours which are to be made into cards.

And this is the stamp by:

Next the embossing folder, butterflies.

Stamps I have bought  from the Stamp Attic sale.

Various masks, stencils, dies and stamps.

I scheduled this post on Tuesday but then went on to finish the first of the cards using the orchid designs and thought you might like to see the first of these.

Just to prove that I can do pretty, I made this.
I coloured the images using the Chameleon pens,
glazed the flowers and leaves but not sure that it is very clear.
I have not attached any sentiment as I am not yet sure what I will use the card for.
I included ribbon and gems to complete the card.

Thank you for the visit and hope you will pop over to the Stamping Ground and have a look at what everyone else is doing.

Happy Crafty Week,
Angela x
