WOYWW 391 # What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

There are things on here today which are new. The Tim Holtz Baubles have been available for a long time but well I just fancied them now they are quite difficult to get hold of but managed to find these. The other new things are the Mini snow flakes and Mini Greens.

Been cutting out crazy birds, dogs and hats, sure you can guess what they are for.

You may have noticed some bottles of nail varnish, got an idea for those.

The 'Exploding Box' is looking even worse today or better depending on how you see it Lol!

These are a few left over stars from an earlier project made with a Seth Apter stamp and Shrink Plastic.

New Masterboard but can't really show you properly what's under there yet.

Everything else is pretty much as it was last week.
If you've not already seen it this is my main project this week other than the Christmas cards.

I made this for Crafty Cardmakers and have a tutorial here and you can join in the challenge here.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Crafty Cardmakers Challenges #178 Anything but a Card.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Well what do you know! It's my turn to host the challenge for the next two weeks.
Our challenge is Anything But a Card. With Christmas rapidly approaching we feel sure that you will have created something as a decoration or a gift and would love you to share it with us.
As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to just be cards, as long as it meets the challenge, and doesn't exceed the 15 total challenges entered rule!

So here is what I came up with:

Using some Left-Over Masterboard, stamped with Paper Artsy JOFY stamp set 06. I started by tearing a piece to fit the brown Craft Bag. A little bit of grunge always works for me Lol!

Next, die cut trees, tags, plants and words ready to start putting the design together.

I embossed the tags with a snow drift embossing folder, rubbed over this with Treasure Gold Gilding Wax in silver and edged everything with black distress ink.

Once everything was dry I mounted these on the bag.

The trees were attached with my hot glue gun to make them stand out and giving dimension to the design.

I completed this by adding a metal star, bows, ribbon and a small tag with Christmas tree attached.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
 Happy crafty card making.

Friday Fun Day with smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what's been happening this week.

We've been back in the park again and the Weir is really coming together now.

This is an absolute work of art!
It has been brilliant watching this come together, a true craftsman at work.

I'm waiting to see what he is up to at the far left as the pillar seems to be set off centre but I'm sure he will have a plan for this.

I so love these little arched openings and can't wait to see what he intends to use them for.

Just a view of the surrounding area.
As you can see the leaves have been dropping this week.

The park is looking lovely in the autumn sunshine, think we need to make the most of it as it's getting colder now.

This is the building work around where the old house and stables used to be.

We went to Macclesfield again last weekend and how different the weather was as you can see here.

Famous Cat and Fiddle.

Sorry the photographs aren't brilliant but I couldn't resist showing you this one! Brrrrr!

We also went through Chesterfield which is famous for it's church with the crooked spire.

Hope you have a great weekend everyone and
thanks for stopping by, I'm off now to see what everyone else has been up to.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW #390 What's On You Workdesk Wednesday.

This is a full view of the desk today especially for anyone that has not seen this before. I work in a space between the dining room and the conservatory and it has a skylight above which is why the light in this room is always good so it's great to work in.

As you can see the 'Exploding Box' on the left is once again close to explosion!

A left-over Masterboard is stuck in there, little note book where I keep some lists of what needs to be made and when for The Craft Barn and Crafty Cardmakers.
A small paper bag waiting to be finished, that will be around next week.
You can also see some left over tags from an earlier project when I made this for The Craft Barn:

A close-up of the desk shows some die cutting which is also related to the paper bag.

And that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday: Left-overs.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with some left-over Masterboard:
The balloons were made using XCut.
Text by Tim Holtz Stamps.

I made these background papers as part of this year's Christmas card collection.

I have some of this one left over and thought it would make nice balloons for a birthday card.

So here it is, a few gems to complete the design, the string is drawn on with felt tip pen so couldn't be simpler.

I think this is as close as I get to CAS but what do you think?
Sometimes we just need a quick card and this is just that.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what's been happening this week.

This is looking through the original garden area onto the elevated area where the house once stood and where the new Visitors Centre will be.

This is the view from the other direction looking back to the park.

Much of the area has been cleared now and foundations laid.

The only disappointing part is that they have had to remove quite a few old trees to open the area up a bit.

I hope to record the progress as it happens.

Also went for a walk with the girls this week to Doddington Hall though it was rather windy so we ended up in the café for coffee and cheese scones, lovely!

Saw these while we were there too which must be very old.

Close-up.

I've also been to a funeral this week which always is sad but it is also nice to see members of the family that you don't get to see very often. My uncle was about 86 and had been ill for sometime but died with his loving family around him so that has to be at least a happy thought.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

So here is my desk for today!

I'm sure it's not that obvious but I have had a tidy-up and also taken some stuff out of the exploding box! believe it or not!
I am trying to make Christmas cards but have had to stop as there are some birthdays soon so I've been making some cards for those this week. Not all of these are finished but I'm waiting for bits to dry.

Once I get these out of the way I'll be back on with the Christmas cards.

So that's me done for today, nice and quick just how you like it.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenges #177- Embossing Dry or Heat.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Jackie is hosting today and our challenge is Embossing which can be either dry or heat.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to just be cards, as long as it meets the challenge, and doesn't exceed the 15 total challenges entered rule!

Hope you will pop over and join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

To complete this project I used the mop up card from these Masterboards.

To begin with I stamped the snowflakes and the tap using stamps by Stampendous (snowflakes) and Carabelle Studio (Tap).

Coloured in lots of crazy birds as I will need more of these later

and used some left over paper to punch out snowflakes.

Preparing sentiments ready for the big push on Christmas cards.

Next was to do the snowflake embossing and the rubbed over this with a blending tool and distress ink.
The punch is another that I used to make the snowflakes which were added after the embossing was complete.

I edged the design with distress ink, layered it with red and green card and then mounted it onto a black card blank.
To complete the card I added the 'ho ho ho' stamp by Tim Holtz, a little ribbon, glazed the tap and gave the bird a nice Christmas hat.

I realise this is not your typical Christmas card so let me know what you think.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
 Happy crafty card making.
