Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what's been happening this week.

This is looking through the original garden area onto the elevated area where the house once stood and where the new Visitors Centre will be.

This is the view from the other direction looking back to the park.

Much of the area has been cleared now and foundations laid.

The only disappointing part is that they have had to remove quite a few old trees to open the area up a bit.

I hope to record the progress as it happens.

Also went for a walk with the girls this week to Doddington Hall though it was rather windy so we ended up in the café for coffee and cheese scones, lovely!

Saw these while we were there too which must be very old.

Close-up.

I've also been to a funeral this week which always is sad but it is also nice to see members of the family that you don't get to see very often. My uncle was about 86 and had been ill for sometime but died with his loving family around him so that has to be at least a happy thought.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

More fab pics of the developments. It's a shame about the trees but hopefully they will plant new ones somewhere. Gorgeous old carts....can just imagine them being used many years ago. Thanks for sharing them.

You really have had a mixed week Angela... great to see the ongoing photos of the park - it is a shame about the trees though. Sorry to hear about your Uncle.

We are off to Coventry this weekend, it is Andy Skinner time again and this time Brenda Brown and Mark Gould are doing classes too - so looking forward to it! Anne xx

Angela, so sorry to hear of your uncle's passing, sad that sometimes this is the only time extended families gather"(
Exciting renovations in your neck of the woods, thanks for sharing! xx

Is great to see things coming along. I hope the winter weather doesn't stop progress. I'm snowed in today but it's a nice excuse to cosy up

I shall enjoy watching the progress in the park. The visit to Doddington Hall looks interesting and I am sure the coffee and scones made it worth while.
I am sorry about the funeral, but as you say, there are usually some more cheerful family moments to be found there. Have a good week. Kate x
