Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Remember this?

Well when trying to get you a photograph of the new plaque that they have put up I'm afraid I ended up with a photo of me instead. Not sure you can even read what it says Lol!

More work going on in the new visitors centre, the roof has gone on now.

And they've fenced all of this off so I guess something else is about to happen.

As the weather was nice we decided to do a bit of gardening this week and I thought you might like to see what is over the fence.

We don't go through here very often as it's a bit wild.

There is an old Victorian/Edwardian tip/dump and sometimes we get bottle diggers. I used to come in and collect the stuff left behind and we do have quite a collection of bottles.
I could show you sometime if you like.

This is the view looking back towards the house.

Somebody thought it was funny to shut the gate before I got back in the garden!
Very funny I'm sure!

Anyway we're back in now!
'Him Indoors' who is actually out of doors today even got the ladders out to do some tree pruning!

I decided while the sun was out, to clean the Bonsai tables and pots.

And here they are all back where they belong.

Guess that's it for now, off to see what everyone else has been up to.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

My hubby used to do bottling! I never understood the fascination, but I guess it's like a treasure hunt! You've got a nice big garden that's not overlooked - just what we're looking for! That photo with your reflection is rather arty! Have a great weekend!

Lovely post, Angela, great photos, especially the one of you. I did manage to read the plaque and I think it is wonderful that a community can get together and build something worthwhile like that. My brother has a collection of old bottles so there is obviously a market for them. It would be interesting to see your collection some time too. Your bonsai collection is fab. Hope the weather is good at the weekend so you can get out into the garden again. Elizabeth xx

Yes, I could read the plaque. It's so good that most of it was done with volunteers. I see the RAF volunteers and RAF cadet so-and-so. That's great.
Wow, your garden is huge! I am fascinated by the Victorian/Edwardian rubbish dump beyond the fence.I'd love to see your bottles. And also I'd love to see your bonzai close up. They look very beautiful. My brothe-in-law in Plymouth does bonzai and every time we visit (once a year) we go outside to look at the bonzai.
Have a great week,
Hugs,
Lisca

Thanks for your fun comment, Angela - I love Flanders and Swann - that quote took me right back! It's a great song. And yes, we will have had our fair share of "the working man" in our house by the end of all this! Phase One is over and I actually made some art today!!

What a lovely place you live in. I love the wide expanse of grass, and I think I'd be tempted to explore the area beyond the fence sometimes. The pergola patio looks a very peaceful place to sit with a cuppa (or glass of wine if that's your preference).
And I could read your plaque when I clicked on it to open it up.
