Masterboard Monday

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

This weekend I was lucky enough to attend a great workshop with a lovely lady called Barbara who demonstrates and teaches for Oyster Stamps.
The theme of the workshop was Masterboards which you all know I love but we can all learn something new.

Here is card No.1:

The background is cut from the Masterboard into nine squares and the butterfly was a Tim Holtz die, cut twice once on the Masterboard and once on vellum. The vellum was embossed and then the two layered together and attached to the card. The sentiment is also stamped and embossed onto vellum.
I completed the card with pink and black gems.

The Masterboard was made by applying gesso through some Tim Holtz stencils then adding colour using distress inks. We applied more ink through the stencils and then rubbed away the ink from the Gesso to reveal the detail.

At this stage the Masterboard is ready to be cut as required.

Card No. 2:
So Love this. Seth Apter stamps and dies, Tim Holtz dies and stamps and finished with Prima clear pebbles.

And finally for the last twenty Five minutes Barbara asked us to make another card with the left-overs and this is what I made.
I so love those Seth Apter stamps and dies and used those for the circles. The sentiment is actually stamped on the waste piece that you get when using the circle die. Finally added brads and gems to complete the card.

Card No. 3:

So that's your lot!
Other than... Here is Barbara being her usual self.

We love you Barbara and thank you very much for a great day.
