Friday Fun Day with Smiles # 170

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

More photos in the garden this week. Been having a problem with two ducks which just would not leave and had taken a fancy to my fish pond.
Now I like ducks but wish they would stay in the park as they have been using the pond net as a trampoline.

I feel a bit sad that we have had to scare them off but I have the Koi to consider.
So here are a few photos of the fun they had while they were here, round about three days in all, after which time they had to go though it took a lot to persuade them. Even beating a stick on the ground and shouting Shooo Shooo did not seem to bother them they just woddled to the bottom of the garden.

So here they are on the day they arrived.

A little bit of garden inspection first!

Then it was time for a nap.

Back to checking out the pond.

And a bit of  a clean up.

And then we can test out the new place.

They seemed a bit unsure about the net but it didn't put them off one bit.

And if we push it down enough we can have a proper good paddle!

Mmmmm nice, time for a bit of preening.

This went on for three days but I think they decided they didn't like Maisie and Stan very much but they did make us smile while they were here.

Hope you have a great Friday and thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too if you like.

Thanks for stopping by,

Angela x

How lovely to enjoy your visitors for three days....I'm with you in that they enjoyed your hospitality for long enough though for the sake of your fish and your garden. Thanks for sharing the pics.
Hugs,

Lovely photos Angela, could you send Maisie and Stan round here for a couple of days to scare off the Canada Geese away from the mill pond opposite our house please? Their constant honking is certainly good as an early morning call though! xx

Oh this did make me laugh Angela, sorry. Your garden looks so pretty I can see why they wanted to stay. They photos are beautiful. Have a lovely weekend. Barbxx

You have a lovely garden area. No wonder they felt at home. maybe they fancied a bit of privacy away from the park. They wouldn't have lasted for three days with my animals though. They don't take kindly to a new face on the block. I actually would love to have a pair of ducks. Much better than swans or geese, but you don't see them over here as a general rule. Kate x

although they seem at home, it's not what you need with expensive Koi fish lol

The trampolining comment made me laugh! Glad you managed to persuade them to move on eventually, they can be messy blighters. Cara x

Funny post Angela! It really did make me smile....and it's Saturday already...haha!

They seem content in your garden, who wouldn't....it is so pretty. But the Koi are also entitled to a home too.

Thanks or visiting my blog and leaving me a comment....always appreciated.

Have a great weekend....or what's left of it!

What a delightful post, Angela! I love ducks. I can understand, though, why you don't want them invading the garden! Quite apart from protecting your koi carp!! I laughed at the thought of the ducks bouncing on the net like a trampoline! You've got a gorgeous pond and a lovely garden. We no longer have a pond but have resurrected the hidden water feature at our new place. I don't think ducks would bother with it though.

Thank you for your lovely comment - so glad you like my textures! I'm a bit o a texture junkie and had great fun using all the different materials. Tyvek in particular is tremendous fun to melt and embellish. Plenty of potential there.

Have a great week.

Love the duck photos, they are great! Thank you for stopping by earlier! I posted late, because I was on holiday, and forgot. I had saved my desk photos to my mini iPad so I could post. Didn't know if I could do it or not, but it worked! :) #62
