WOYWW#366 What's On You Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

However the link up will still be with Jan this week.

So here is my desk for today!

I cannot say that I have tidied up much and I make no apologies because I have been busy.
I know that some of you asked about the Finnabair rusting paints that I had on my desk some weeks ago and I have finally got round to using them on a new Shrine I'm making.

At the moment it's black but by the time you see it again it should be complete.

Some of you may also notice a load of old tax discs at the back there. We no longer have these in the UK and someone has given me these. Her husband has collected them over the years and I am going to use them on a birthday card for him.

So that's your lot really other than I would like to show you the new ATCs which arrived this week.
Many thanks to Marit who sent everything in that gorgeous envelope with the lovely blue postcard too. Then  Neet sent me that gorgeous Crazy bird and Christine's card... well she just knows crafters so well Lol! and Nikki who also sent me lots of little things to play with you are so kind, thanks to all of  you.

So that's me done for today.

Thank you for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Angela x

Great idea to use the discs for a male card. I really struggle to turn all the girly stamps etc into something suitable for the boys. Great collection of ATC's.

Hi Angela, Happy WOYWW, thanks for the visit earlier..I am curious about the stack of paper that the shrine is on..Is that scrap? Or just a surface to work on? I like the idea of a tax disc card. Cx #19

I collected my tax discs too and when I bought a new car (some years ago now!!!) I used the old ones in a scrapbook page of my old car. I'd even saved the first pay & display ticket which is on the page too. LOL. Thanks for visiting me today BJ#32

The shrine looks very interesting, Angela, and the ATCs are gorgeous! What an intriguing idea to use old tax discs for art! I expect we shall all get nostalgic about them now that we no longer have them! Thank you for your lovely comments and birthday wishes. My birthday is all spread out with presents arriving late, which is rather nice! I'm so busy with other things at the moment that I wonder if I will ever get back to making art again! I've got all this lovely new stash and really need to get stuck in and try it all out.

Well Angela had no idea what on what tax discs are .. but found out through Google :D
.. they are just like our car registration sticker, and we dont need ours either, for number of years now, it is all scanned and computerised and rather scary in some ways! :D
Lovely fun atcs, well done!

Ooh I'll look forward to seeing what you create from the old tax discs! I really appreciate clever repurposing of things like that. I too have a little collection of 10 from the last decase stuck in my old tax disc holder so I must get them out and file them somewhere safe in case I think of a needle-felting application for them!! Thanks for stopping by my desk. Happy crafting, Max #31

I just read the comments and I am happy to see I'm not the only one not knowing what a 'tax disc' is... it must have been a UK-thing as in Holland cars were registrated in another way and we had 'stickers' on the car windows... the discs are intriguing though.. enjoy using them! I am happy you liked my ATC and card, I love your triptych ATC too! Thanks for your visit to my blog earlier this week. Instead of creating, I sat on my balcony reading and enjoying the good weather last week. That's why I am late with visiting woyww-friends.. but today it's raining and it's a perfect morning to visit blogs so here I am, wishing you a beautiful Sunday! Hug from Holland, Marit #30

I love seeing the stuff you play with. Kind of out of my wheelhouse but nice to see what others do with the products.

I have extra ATCs if you'd like one. You have my email.. just drop a note with your snail and one will go into the post. Creative Blessings! Kelly #37
