Friday Fun Day 174.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi all I've been really busy this week but did manage to get out for a walk with the girls on Wednesday to a place called Willingham Woods near Market Rasen Lincolnshire.

We were really lucky as the weather was warm though humid but when we got home at about 2.30pm the heavens opened with thunder and lightening like I have never seen and it continued for over an hour.
Now you may wonder why this might make me smile but it did because it was a miracle we got back before it started Lol!

I thought you might like this photograph I took too.
This is quite a rare sight now. Sorry the photograph is not brilliant but I had to be quick as we drove past.
These are real Gypsies not the travellers who drive around in vans.
That is one gorgeous caravan.

The rest of my week has been spent with the usual stuff, ironing and house work Boo! Hoo! hate it, food shopping, taking my mum out, gardening, walking dogs and a little crafty stuff here and there, naturally! well lots actually as there seems to be loads of birthdays this month and shrines to make.

Lincolnshire show next week so hope to have some photos for you.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

So that's it for today.
Have a great weekend with lots more smiles.

WOW, I'm really smiling, because of the beautiful scenery, but also because of the gypsy caravan. I confess, this is definitely something I have never seen before, and I really had to take a good look. Really amazing that you found it, too. Looked like a lovely horse, too. Happy Friday Smiles and a great weekend.

I'm giggling here cos I wasn't quite as lucky as you with the weather. You can guarantee that it can be sunny all day but that the skies open up at 3 when it's time to do the school run....and my new waterproof isn't!! It's showerproof and what I got caught in on Tuesday was a downpour....I was soaked through and the twins thought it was hilarious :-)
Hugs,

The scenery is so beautiful and I just love that Gypsy caravan! Sadly, now our holiday is over, the weather here has also taken a turn for the worse.... Anne xx

I've always fancied a holiday in one of those gypsy caravans but I think I would be the unlucky one who got a travelling horse. ie one that wandered in the night and I had to chase all over in my PJ's.
Lovely photos - and yes, you were lucky!
Hugs, Neet 5 xx

Lovely beauty spot for a walk and the caravan is a rarity. I spotted one stopped on a country lane grass verge outside York last year and I was quite shocked it was not a touristy one or just for show. Lovey to see old traditional things like that but I wouldn't like to live in one!

What a lovely walk you've taken us on. I live overlooking Healey Dell Nature Reserve and feel very lucky to have such lovely walks on my doorstep

Hi Angela,
What beautiful country to take a walk in. It sounds like the timing was perfect. If your dogs are like mine they'd rather not get wet and are afraid of thunder.

The gypsy caravan is beautiful. How I would love to have a more carefree life!

It's been ages since I've joined Friday Smiles, let alone do any posting. Still can't put my finger on why.....

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs,
Kay

Absolutely fantastic that you got home before the downpour! The park looks really nice.
And spotting that gypsy caravan is very special. I believe you can hire them to go on holiday in. I don't think 'real' gypsies still use them... (well not in Britain anyway).

Have a good week,
Blessings,
Lisca

You have some beautiful countryside to walk through, and I love the gypsy caravan. It is a shame the house-work, especially the ironing, gets in the way, but I suppose it has to be done sometimes. Kate x
