Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #183 Go Green

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Judy is hosting today and our challenge is Go Green.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to be just cards, as long as it meets the challenge, and doesn't exceed the 15 total challenges entered rule!

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

I had some green patterned papers which I thought would work well for this design and as the Crafty Cardmaker's challenge this week is Go Green, it seemed like a good time to use it.

The sentiment inside is by Hobby Art Ltd.

The Cat and Balloon dies are by Tim Holtz.

The chair stamp is by Art Impressions and the front sentiment by Honey Doo Crafts - Balloon Banner Words.
The stitching stamp is by Crescendoh - Stitches and Dots.
I completed the design with the addition of ribbon, pearl gems and stickles glitter glue on the cat's eyes.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.

Friday Fun Day With Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week though not a lot as I am still getting over that stinking cold and trying to catch-up with the jobs I didn't get done.
But I do have a few happy photos to show you.

These two little beauties, so sweet, you've got to love them.
You will recognise my pond in the background and I'm sure you know what these little beauties are.

The Legend of the Christmas Rose

According to legend, a young shepherdess named Madelon was tending her sheep one cold and wintry night.
As she watched over them, a group of wise men and other shepherds passed by,
bearing gifts for the newly born Jesus.
Madelon wept, because she had no gifts to bring the Newborn King, not even a simple flower....
An angel, upon hearing her weeping, appeared and brushed away the snow to
reveal a most beautiful white flower tipped with pink - the Christmas Rose.

That is such a sweet story I'm sure you will agree.

And so to our little friend Maisie.
I wonder what she is looking at!
I certainly don't think it's the flowers Lol!
I think she would like to go out and chase something.

And Rocky the robin is here too!
Not a brilliant photograph as I took it through the window and he was way down the garden but look at his face.... he knows we are watching him lol!

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

Now I'm off to see what everyone's been up to.

Have a great weekend with lots more smiles.

Hi Workdesk friends.

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

I have cleared the exploding box though it's now filled up again!

Sorry it's difficult to see what I'm up to but the photograph below may give some idea.

I have stamped this on a sheet of card with clear embossing ink, overlapping the design so that it covers the A3 sheet completely and well....... you will just have to wait and see what comes next my friends!!!!

So that's me done for today, nice and quick, just how we like it.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

I've been playing with lots of Seth Apter goodies and some card that I coloured with mica spray inks.
The Masterboard was completed with various Seth Apter stencils and masks using Paper Artsy Grunge Paste and Prima Transparent 3D Matte Gel.
I then went over these areas with Distress Inks.

I so love these dies and used them to die cut some of the sprayed card to be used later on this project.

Now I'm not sure what Seth will think of this but I wanted to make a background paper to match the dies I planned to use, so first thing was to make a mask using a Mylar sheet and the above die.
I then used this to mask the card and applied colour with Brilliance ink.

Finished design.

Cut this to size, inked the edges and started to mount the die cuts.

Then went on to position a small section of the Masterboard.
Before attaching this I distressed the long edges.

I started with the card this way up.

But then decided to add one of the words from a Seth Apter  stencil, so turned the card round though it would probably work the other way too.

To complete this design I splattered it with Pebeo Artist Marker and added some matching coloured pearls.

Of course I still have lots more Masterboard and patterned card just waiting to be made into something new, so see you soon.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Back to the Craft Barn - Bottled Up and Glazed Over.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi everyone just here to let you know this is another project for the Craft Barn and it would be great if you could pop over and take a look where you will find instructions for making.

Been working on a bottle using Stazon Glazes, shrink plastic and Tim Holtz stamps. Stamping on glass bottles is not so easy but I have a few tricks up my sleeve! If you would like to see how I decorated this then pop over to The Craft Barn for full details.

I would love to hear what you think about my project and any comments will be gratefully received.
Happy crafting, Angela xXx

If you would like to see the full details for making this          just pop over to The Craft Barn Blog where you will find full details.

Happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day With Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

I'm back at the Gym now that my cold is starting to clear and trying to catch up with stuff though not many photos to show you other than these:

Two member of the family have been making the most of me not being so active.

This was a sunny morning but I'm not sure which day it was.
Anyway this is Maisie and Stan on the bed in the sun.

I think they just get too comfy!

Now we are downstairs and Stan is showing you how to recline on the sofa.

"Yes ladies and gentleman this is how you do it".
"I know this is how you do it cos. I've seen Him-In-Doors doing it Lol!"

Comfy or what!!!

Oh! is he waking up? No just dreaming Lol!

And Maisie's practising it too.

Obviously not quite comfy enough so will need to spread out a bit.

Now despite the fact that they take so much room up and definitely think they own the place, they make me smile all the time and hope they make you smile too.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for

Happy Valentine's Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Just a quick post today and a quick card too!
Been a bit busy trying to catch up with stuff and made this card in about half an hour but don't tell him that Lol!

Happy Valentine's Day to you all.

So love this stamp by Carabelle-studio, I thought it was time I used it as it's new but not got round to doing anything with it up to now so here goes.
Stamped it in black and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder to make it stand out. I made the border with one of my favourite Stitches and Dots by Crescendoh Stamps.

The Sentiment die is by Frantic Stamper Inc.
The colour is Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Powders - Lava Red.
The heart dies are by Sara Davies and I finished it off with some yellow Stickles Glitter Glue.

Hope you have a lovely Valentines Day
whatever you choose to do.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #182 Add Some Texture.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Maike is hosting today and our challenge is Add some Texture.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to be cards, as long as it meets the challenge, and doesn't exceed the 15 total challenges entered rule!

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

I had some left over Masterboard with lovely texture which was produced using Glass Bead Gel from Winsor and Newton. This was then coloured with inks.

I cut the Masterboard into several pieces and mounted them onto embossed card then played around with the arrangement.

When I was happy with it, I added some die cut flowers and a sentiment die (Tim Holts dies).

I finished the card off with gems and ribbon and then mounted everything onto a white card blank.

I quite like the clean look of this card which is unusual for me Lol!
Hope you like it too!

Do pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and you are very welcome to join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
 Happy crafty card making.

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.  though not much as I've still been full of cold.

One of our little friends came to visit this week and was helping himself to some of the bird food.

I can only guess he was not impressed at me watching him!
Or maybe he just thought "If I can't see her, she can't see me!"

I had meant to show you these.
My friends in Ireland sent me these for my birthday.
Now they did make me smile even though I was feeling pretty rubbish.

And it looks like spring is on it's way, though it has been quite frosty some mornings here.

I had to finish with this!

Now what do you think they are looking at?
If you look slightly to the left you can see one of my legs.
Just look at their faces Lol!

 I was eating these!

My friend gave me these for my birthday just before we left France and it's only now that I have felt like eating them.
If you look you can see that some of them have pictures of skiers on them.
Needless to say, the dogs didn't get any!

Hope some of that made you smile, sorry you can't test the chocies....whoops! there goes another one!
Yummy Yummy!

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for

So here is my desk for today!

I'm using up some old Masterboard and some nice spotty card.
I will have this finished tomorrow ready for the challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers so if you want to see what I've made you will have to pop back Monday when the new challenge goes live.
Sorry to be a tease!

I did make this for my Monday slot, with some new Paper Artsy stamps earlier in the week. If you're interested, it's here just below this posting.

I know it's a quick one today but it's better that way really, more time to visit everyone else.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

I used a brayer and Paper Artsy Fresco paints to cover the card quickly.
Just keep going until you achieve the effect you want.
You can brayer white onto the paint if it looks too bright it's up to you.

I use one colour at a time, rotating the card to apply it evenly around the surface and then move to the next colour and do the same again.
I like fresco paints as some of them are transparent so work well over the top of other colours without blanking them out.

Despite still feeling under the weather I did feel a bit more like having a play but as you will see it took me a while to get my head round it this week.

The first stage was easy as I decided to stamp my new Tracy Scott stamp onto the background papers.

Then cut them out......

and layered the different colours together.

And added yellow and purple Stickles Glitter Glue.

Put these on one side while I thought about the background and this is where it got interesting.

I had thought about having a black background and embossing the flowers onto it. I have loads of Cosmic Shimmer embossing powders that have been in the drawer for ages and thought they might do the trick so got them out and had a play.

Now the only problem with embossing powders is that they behave differently on black card so after an interesting hour I realised the colours were not what I wanted though I do think that this card is going to see some use some time in the future as I love the colours.

So I mixed together some of the colours that did match with the Masterboards and this is what I ended up with.

I felt it needed a border which I created with an embossing pen and the same powder.

Perfect but what do you think.

At this stage I started positioning the masterboard flowers.

The card was completed with a Mother's Day sentiment, ribbon and a collection of sequins.

Plenty of Masterboard left to play with so you will see it again soon I'm sure.

Hope you like it and I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,
